Thanx everyone I appreciate it I just need 2 lose weight I feel like a hippo
Check out the book, "The Flex Diet" by Dr James Beckerman, who is a cardiologist here on MH. It doesn't even really seem like a "diet" because it's a series of small things that anyone can do to change their lifestyle.
As SKH43, a proper 'diet' so to speak, is not the answer. Diets come with the idea of them lasting for only a limited time, and what you need to do is change your whole lifestyle permanently.
Do a lot of research into healthy eating/cooking and get exercising regularly (if you don't already).
Good luck!
I honestly don't think there is one easy diet out there.
Don't go on a diet. Change the way you eat forever.
My mistake was to think only a few more pounds then no more diet. This always leads to thinking well one slice of pizza wont hurt. Unfortunately pizza really is a gateway food that always leads me back to all the other junk food.
This is what I did for 6 months before I started my diet. I went all crazy and wrote down everything I ate, how much of it, and when I ate it. I then wrote down how it made me feel physically and emotionally. I found foods that were causing some very uncomfortable feelings. Then I spent several months researching the thousands of diets until I found one that limited or removed the bad foods. I also made sure the diet had a huge recipe base, online support system, and most of all replacement foods. The replacement foods allowed me to get sick of the diet and have a good treat without the guilt. Guilt of failing the diet was a major factor in my dropping most diets.
Most of all I made sure I was ready to never eat another slice of pizza again. It took at least four months for me to psych myself into changing my eating habits after I chose a lifestyle diet.
For the first time in my life I can sit in a pizza restraurant and not even want a slice. The diet I chose gives me exactly what I want. I think researching what I really wanted and what was causing me harm was the best thing I did. I not only lost all of my weight but I am healthier than ever.
