I think it was Einstein who said the best solution is simple and elegant. So I will try...
My guess your body is aching due to inflammation. Many common foods cause this, especially grains and sugars. Our modernized food supply chain has become filled with these two components, which drives a lot of the metabolic issues in our society: obesity, diabetes, IBS, arthritis, Alzheimer's, etc.
Solution is simple: eat a diet that does not induce inflammation and blood sugar cycling up and down. This is a low carb, moderate protein and high fat diet. Typical meal looks like this: non starchy veg sautéed in butter with steak. At each meal, make sure you eat non starchy veg with meat/fish/eggs and fat (olive oil, butter, coconut oil, etc). Do not eat sugar or starchy stuff (pasta, rice, flour, bread, etc). Eat non starchy vegetables and stay away from fruit (high in sugar). Do this for a week and you will see that your pain will go away, your blood sugar will not cycle up and down, your hunger goes away and you lose weight if too much on your body. Good luck.
Well, if you have no strength and are feeling old and frumpy, it's time to start turning that around, and yes, you can do that!! No gym required...
Since you are getting older, and aren't used to exercise, it's okay not to want to jump into jogging right off the bat - in fact, it's okay not to want to jog, at all - I wouldn't dream of jogging. Jogging is a high impact exercise and as we get older, that's the last we need, because our older bones simply can't tolerate that.
Considering that you aren't used to exercising, it's best to ease into it slowly, anyway. You love to walk, so go for it. Walking is one of the best exercises there is. It can help you lose weight and become healthier over all. If you aren't used to walking, start slower and for shorter periods and work up to what's comfortable for you. Your ultimate goal is 30-60 minutes of brisk walking at least 5-6 days/week, but you can start with as little as 10 minutes/day or 10 minutes 2-3 times/day, however you can work it into your schedule.
Along with walking, you should add some strength training to help build muscle, which burns fat more quickly. Hand weights are good, but if you don't have any, don't worry about it. You can search YouTube for videos that use your own body weight. Yoga is also good for toning muscles... talk about taking the frumpy feeling away - yoga can do help do that, as it centers on breathing, stretching and relaxing. It makes you feel like your muscles are really long and lean. I know, that sounds funky - I thought so, too, but give it a try; it works!! Yoga is one of those types of exercises that you feel very clumsy, at first, and think you'll never get the hang of it, but after you do it a few times, you realize that it's getting a bit easier each time you try it. Eventually, you no longer feel clumsy and you start feeling a lot more graceful and much better about yourself... at least I did.
All of this is done gradually - no marathons to overdo - just what you can tolerate. Your muscles may get slighter sore to start, but if it takes days to recuperate, you've overdone. Have you tried taking magnesium supplements? Magnesium deficiency often causes muscle/joint aches/pains. Fish oil can also help ease pain.
While you're working into an exercise routine (make sure you vary your routine, so your body doesn't get too used to it), you'll want to incorporate a healthy diet, as well. That means healthy food and appropriate portions.
All of this said - do keep posting... maybe we can get to know each other and work on this together.
