Fight Antidepressant weight gain with carbs - yes, carbs!

Use what you've got in your pantry to curb your appetite.  You probably already crave carbs - that's because your brain makes serotonin when you eat carbs, and serotonin makes you feel good and it also curbs your appetite and allows you to feel full.  Try a handful of pretzels or half a bagel an hour before lunch or dinner and see if you are less hungry at the meal.  Eating wholesome carbs like pasta, rice, potatoes, or beans along with vegetables for dinner can make it less likely you'll eat your way through the evening because you'll be satisfied.  Protein at breakfast and lunch is a great way to energize your day.  You can have your (low fat, low protein) cake and eat it, too, to help you lose weight.  Please let me know if anyone wants more specific information or the name of the weight loss program that incorporates these principles - I'm so excited to spread the word so nobody has to suffer with antidepressant weight gain.

The Serotonin diet, though very effective in areas is NOT a complete solution.  The serotonin diet lacks some key things, namely niacin.  No reason to worry however as niacin is extremely easy to find.  Most energy drinks contain niacin, the best one being Crazy Larry Deep Space Blue.  Be sure to eat lots of spicy foods and chocolate, as these are both good at releasing serotonin.  Cigarettes are also a very good means to this end.  Just keep your chin up and keep punching!
