Make sure you get the "burp free" kind. I use Nordic Naturals.
Thanks for the input - does the fish oil you take have any side effects?
Fish oil is good for because it's one of the "good" fats that your body needs. These fats help you feel more satisfied and in moderate amounts don't contribute much to the risk for heart problems, etc. I have heard that they help you lose weight, but I take them and don't notice a difference in my weight, unless I exercise and eat right.
Vitamin D is also necessary for good health. Vitamin D is produced naturally in the body when you are in the sunshine. 15 minutes of sun/day with your skin exposed (face, arms, legs) is supposed to be sufficient; however some people do find themselves deficient, especially in northern climates where it's cold in the winter and people can't go outside uncovered.....I've read different reports regarding the amount of vitamin D to take if you are going to supplement, but it can be toxic if you get too much. I'd advise getting your levels tested and go by those sample results to determine how much to take. I do also take vitamin D daily -- again, I don't notice a difference in my weight unless I exercise and eat right.
