I'm a physician but you don't need to be a doctor to know that it is perfectly normal to gain weight before and during your period. It is caused by the fluctuations in hormone levels and is all water weight. Don't fret! If you are someone who cannot ignore this change on the scale without getting upset, then I recommend not weighing yourself the week before or during your period.
Thank you :)) I didn't realise you could fluctuate as much as that so that does out me at ease , fingers crossed il be back in track soon and won't worry about the gain this time if the month , thanx again
The weight you gain right before a period is just fluid build up. You'll find once you've started, it'll be mostly gone. Don't worry about 3lbs. I often fluctuate 6-8 lbs right before mine.
Thank you I feel better after your reply , think because I have been trying so hard even tho I know period can cause water gain I really panicked :)
Yes you will loose it 3 ibs is no reason to fret silly :) our bodies always fluctuate a few pounds,10 pounds then yes you could fret!
