I ate bad, now I feel bad! Normal?

Hey everyone. As most of you know, I've been dieting since Jan and have been on a VERY STRICT diet. This weekend, I ate very bad. I had Mexican food on Sat, and yesterday had sugar, including cake and all the other stuff for Easter. Today I am feeling extremely nauseous and my stomach is NOT happy at all. Is this because I shocked my system or something? Since it's not used to eating like that anymore? Ugh, I feel sick. Or maybe it's unrelated???

Thank you for that information.  Like I said, I had not looked into sweetners yet.  As I am still at least three months away to my goal, and I'm staying on a very strict diet until then.

Live4fitness, I would appreciate any and all information you have on this and other subjects.  I would eventually like to have a few chocolate chip cookies or brownies, but use whatever the "best" ingredients are to maybe not feel quite as guilty and be not as bad on the body.  Do the books you have tell you the equivilent of the good stuff to use instead of sugar?  Are there any receipy books out there for making the bad foods not as bad and still taste good?

No Stevia is from an herb. ALL  NATURAL!!!  It is very yummy. It doesn't jack with your glucose levels like sugar does which can make you fat.  Oh I have done lots of research on all the artificial sweetenrs out there and I am supprised we are not dead after injesting it. :)

There are some great books out there that talk about how bad sugar is bad to your body even if it is organic b/c what it does to your insulin levels. So not all sweeteners are the same like brown rice syrup is good for you and you can make healthy yummy cookies with them.  Just a little FYI.

I am so glad you are back.

Its the food corporations that are doing it, the government will help because of the money contributions they get.  Its being done way before it even gets to your market.  Same with the drug companies.  Did you know a decongestant can help make you fat?  Let alone all the other **** they perscribe, all of which have 10 or more precautions.

I'm not eating anything with sugar in it right now, so I have not investigated it yet.  My gut at this point would say to follow what is the most natural, sugar itself.  Your body knows how to digest real sugar, and who knows with any of that other stuff.  Besides, if the food industry invented it and it did not come from a natural source orginally without any additives they don't have to list, I would not trust it anymore than corn syrup.  As far as we know, it could be contributing in shutting down the hypothalamus, which is why we are all fat and getting fatter in the first place.

I have not read that book but I do know what you mean. Like salad in a bag has chlorine in it. Corn syrup stops the hormon in your body that tells you that you are full same as artificial sweeteners. By the way do you use stevia as a sweetener, if yes I like the now brand all the others have a bad after taste. We don't buy store bread they have at least 4 sources of sugar in it. We go to a special store, but lately I am not wanting to drive, gas getting too expensive, but I buy Ezecial bread in the health section in the local store. The health store is soooo far from my house. But we don't drink milk or milk products, ALMOND all the way, the cheese is sooooo good.

I love to hear that others know this stuff b/c it make me sooo made that govt. doesn't care and it all means more $ in there pockets!!!!

According to Kevin Trudeau's book, there are thousands of additives put into the food that do not have to be listed in the ingredients!  It sounds like, when you first read it, like a conspiracy theory until you look at this country compared to others, then it makes perfectly good sense.  If you, as a food manufacturer/processor can add chemicals to your food products that make people fatter and hungrier, then they will eat that much more of your products.  Did you know that they have changed the meaning of words in Congress so much that the 'roast beef' they sell in their sandwiches at Arby's is not even beef?!  The whole wheat bread you buy in a grocery store will only make you fatter, because the third ingredient in every one is high fructose corn syrup, which turns straight to abnormal fat because your body can't process it!

(I'm hoping this wakes up others out there in this forum, that what is suppose to be better for you at your local grocery store probably isn't, and that's why a lot of you have not seen the weight loss that you have wanted!)

I would suggest getting KT's weight loss cure book, not necessarily for the hcg protocal, but for all the other information you can find out about what they are doing to the food and what you should avoid.  Also, there is a doctor who has a site that speaks of diet, organic foods, etc.  Mercola, in fact, just sent out a article on brown seaweed called fucoTHIN, that is supposed to work as a thermogenic to burn stomach fat, without the yips of ephedra.  It's good to get your information from at least a few different sources.

Good Luck!

The diet plan I'm following also stresses using only organic foods. It basically said humans are supposed to only eat the foods that God put on his planet in it's most natural state. Meats, veggies, fruits, etc. And yeah, I NEVER thought about all those nasty stuff they put in stuff at the grocery stores until recently!

HELLO!!!!!
I have missed you. Congrats!!! That is awesome. So who cares about the dark side. i find that stuff rather interesting. I don't like needles so I couldn't do it. Well My husband thought he tore his pec last week, that GOD it was only a parcial tair. About a year a go he tore his other pec and had to have sx. That sucked. It sucks getting old. His body is not as resilliant as it used to be. And no he was not lifting to heavy or showing off at the gym. It is common in athletes to do this. ( just had to through that in heard that a lot last year) Well I have been doing good. I had ACL sx in dec. went well gained a little weight but got back on track. Stop tacking my birth control shot depo prevara and started gaining weight like no ones buisiness. Got back on last week. Hope fully everything will get back on track.

I am so glad you are doing well. I might go over to the other forum so we can chat. I have been SUPER buisy lately that is why I have not been here much.

Take Care

Sorry to hear about the injurys and surguries.  That can always set you back.  It did me a couple of times this last year, when I strained my groin, hamstring and calf, all at different times while working out.

Along with taking 'the stuff', the biggest information I learned was how bad food at a normal grocery store can be for your body in comparison to a store that only sells organic and hormone free food.  It sure is expensive, but its made all the difference in my fat loss.

Good luck on getting back on track. As of today, 4 weeks, I'm down 4.8% bodyfat, 30.2 pounds, and 21-3/4 inches.  Only 16.4% and 50 pounds to go!

Good to hear from you.  I'm always glad to hear of someone doing well with their health.

I did not read the KT's book until I was about 1-1/2 weeks after I started my diet.  I can understand why the other side is into his book; people are having a better understanding of a program that works!  It made me more conscience of the **** we have bought to feed ourselves in the past, the food industry, fast food and chain resturants.  His cleansing program also makes sense even though I have not done that yet.

I look at "the dark side" once or twice a week and have posted a couple of times showing my progress.  I came over here just to say hello to live4fitness, and others like you and inadaze, that are still around.  I'll be back over here once I get to my goal. (30 down and about 50 to go)  Take care!

Hey Knud! and liveforfitness! I feel like its a class reunion! I haven't been on here in weeks! Since they split I have not known where I "fit in"!! That's hilarious to call it the dark side and the force!! And its really great to see you are still around. Do you post over there? They seem almost like a cult or something with all that talk about the Kevin Trudeau book. Nothing like it used to be. I don't even take the "stuff" anymore anyway. But I'm glad to hear about your great results! Bet you're gonna have a great summer on the beach!!

I'm still putting along day by day. "Inadaze" became my online diet buddy and I took her exercise tip of doing the treadmill at night after I put my kids to bed and watch my favorite soap I taped that day. I like exercising in the morning better but I never could do it every day. At least this way I do it every day and results are starting to show again.

So I hope nobody objects to my post over here; I know I was pretty outspoken for "the other side" a while back, but like I said I don't even take it anymore, haven't since October, and even when I did I still pursued a healthy diet and exercise lifestyle. I just wanted people to understand that there were two sides to the story. Anyway, hope everyone has a great night and good luck with their diets.

P.S. Aruba, I know exactly what you mean - I get sick when I eat pizza or anything too greasy now that I have gotten used to healthier eating. But we just can't help it every now and then can we!!

Hey liv4fitness!  I just wanted to ask how you and your family are doing? (regarding your health, of course)  I havn't posted for over a month, and I guess at this point, I'm part of "The Dark Side".  Eventually, I'll be back over here.

Last I heard (threaded), you had your whole family involved in eating correctly, and was it one cheat day or meal?  We also threaded about, can I say it here, supplements, for your husbands' training.  How is that going?

Well, don't want to take up any more room here.  I've lost 23 pounds of fat in the last three weeks and have about 50 to go until I leave Darth and come back to The Force.  Good health to you and everyone!

Yeah, I feel much better today now! LOL. Yesterday I seriously sat in the bathroom dry heaving for about half an hour!!!! Too much info, sorry. But  yeah, my body was NOT happy. So yeah, I'm pretty much thinking that's what did it.

Knud, congrats on your weight-loss! Keep it up! I take vitamin supplements as well. I take a Vitamin B complex to help with my metabolism.

Thanks, Aruba.  I appreciate that.  However, I'm taking that 'stuff' that they discuss on what I call, " The Dark Side" of this forum.  Yes, I do supplement, even though all I eat I get from a Whole Foods store. (All organic)
With taking the "stuff", I've dropped 3.5% bodyfat in 3 weeks.  But I should not discuss it any further here.

I apologize in advance to all of you 'naturals'.  I just wanted to say hey to live4fitness, as we had some good and interesting threads awhile back.

It is porbably due to you eating bad. When I first started my dieting there was a time when I ate clean for  month and when I finally could have my cheat day I was so sick for a few days after. Stomach hurt, gassy, stuffed up head, coughing, going to the bathroom a lot, and joints acking. Now on sat. I have cheat days still but a little more controlled and I sometimes get gassy and my head gets stopped up. (I appear to be allergic to the amarican diet, pizza, donuts, etc.)

I hope you feel better. It usually takes me 1 day to get back to normal. So eat bad sat, sun. feel bad, mon much better even have a real good workout due to the over load of carbs.
