Ideal weight question

Hello,
I am a 29 year old female, 5'4 and 131 pounds.  I recently lost over 100 pounds in the course of a year through diet and exercise.  (starting weight 244 in September of 2010).  I have always been overweight, and now have a lot of excess skin, which is to be expected.  My question is about my ideal weight.  My goal started at 150 pounds, then 140, then 130, now I'm thinking my ideal would be 120.  Should I be taking into consideration the weight of the hanging skin that I can't get rid of?  Am I being realistic in shooting for 120?

I did a BMI calculator online for you and it says that your BMI is 22.5 within a normal range for women. I'd say you're just fine the way you are now, but it's really up to you on how much you want to weigh and look. Great job on losing all that weight by the way!

I second that, 100 lbs is an amazing accomplishment! I also agree 131 is a good, healthy weight. Loosing more wouldn't necessarily be harmful, 120 will put you into 20 BMI which is still considered a healthy number. However, I suggest you focus more on muscle toning over weight loss. It's more important for you to be healthy than to be light. This toning will also help with the flabbiness, although it still takes time to get rid of it all.
