You may want to consider a different scale, and also taking your measurements. You might be losing inches as opposed to pounds and home scales are not always calibrated. I highly recommend that you go to Weight Watchers, with your parents permission of course. You will learn how to eat proper portions, and ensure that you are getting essential vitamins and minerals that your body needs. Also, it is important to note that you should weigh yourself once a week, in the morning, before you eat or drink. The night before you weigh, try to avoid sodium & carb rich foods, because salt and carbs both retain water, which is fine, but it might throw your scale off in the morning. You may also find through weighing yourself that your weight fluctuates through your cycle. About 14 days after the first day of your period, you ovulate which can cause temporary water retention, and during the week prior to your period as well. During your period, you actually burn a couple hundred more calories, which might require you to eat an extra snack each day so you aren't too hungry.
How active are you, other than your walking? What are you eating to get protein - meat, dairy, eggs, beans?
It's good that you've stopped the sodas and other sugary foods, etc. Those aren't good for you, even if you don't need to lose weight.
Have you been checked for any medical conditions that might make it hard for you to lose weight? That might include hypothyroidism or other metabolic issues. Your doctor can do some simple blood tests to make sure everything is okay. Talk to your parents and enlist their help.
Hello, sounds like you are doing everthing right. How long have you been on this diet? The human Bodie is weird you have to be patient and not get discouraged. You are going to fluctuate up and down in weight everyday that's why it some sort times helps to weigh in once a week, always weigh at the same time of day with the same amount of clothes on. Good luck, if you keep doing what you doing you will lose weight.
Calories are interesting, but how well you metabolize what you eat is more important. Maybe more info about what you eat every day would be helpful. Also, you're 16 -- other than the walking, what's your life like? Sit around all the time, or are you active even when you're not doing your walking?
