Milk is very good for you - I'll not argue that point at all. It's just not good to go over board. My husband drinks about a gallon of milk a week and he's healthy too, but he also eats other food.
You are right -- it isn't for everyone.
Haha, well I do love milk and I used to drink a gallon a week and that was when I weighed 120 and ate EVERTHING and didn't gain anything. Then as soon as I stopped drinking as much I gained so much. I do know some people are allergic to milk and ect and it may make some people sick but i don't get sick from milk. It makes me feel way better when I do feel sick. So this isn't for everyone,
I lost a lot of weight drinking about 4 servings (or more) a day of skim milk. Thanks for the reminder about it.
Your recommendation of using milk as a colon cleanser could actually cause some people to become very ill. I, for one, tend to get extremely constipated if I drink more than 2-3 glasses of milk/day, so I have to get some of my dairy in the form of yogurt, cheeses, etc.
I can very well imagine that you would over eat after a diet like this, because your body will have had nothing to eat for days.
Milk can be very soothing to the stomach, but anything in excess is not good for you and I don't believe your milk diet will work for more than a couple of days after it's over. I do hope that you don't get ill from it, and I will continue to discourage people from every going on this type of diet.
I've done it before and I gained weight back cuz I over ate and had nearly 4,000 calories a day. That's too much. Even if it's not the best way I'm still doing it. I'm also doing it as a collan cleaner way. My idea is not not eat anything soild for 3 days then eats just 1-2 pauses of whole wheat bread a day for a few more days, if it comes out within a few hours I'm clean and working well. I've done that before too. It actually helped with all my stomach issues. I've always got stomach issues and it feels way better if I don't eat cuz there's nothing to make it upset. I know that's kinda crummy excuses but it's true.
I do not think this is a good idea at all. While dairy is very good for you and you need at least 3 servings/day, drinking nothing but milk will guarantee that you don't get the vitamins/minerals you would get from adding other foods.
It's never a good idea to go on a "crash" diet, because even if you do lose weight, you will gain it all back as soon as you stop the diet.
By the way, at 5'5" and 118 lbs, you are at the very bottom of your best weight level. I don't understand why you want to lose more weight; particularly, in such an unhealthy manner.
as long as it's skimmed, and i'd drink like 100-200 ml every 2 hours...... let me know how it goes because i'd be up for trying that!
