OFF TOPIC: Dont want to wear my wedding ring and engagement ring on the same finger.

So Im getting married on August 9th. Since Ive started looking for a wedding ring, I never liked having more than one ring on the same finger. I think they are so classy individually and have their own beauty. My wedding and engagement ring fit on both my ring fingers so I was thinking of wearing my engagement ring on my other finger and keeping my wedding band on my left hand ring finger. My promise ring, however, (yes I have 3 rings from my lovely man :D ) I dont know what to do with. I had a thought that Id get it sized to fit my pinky finger.

What are your thoughts?

I wear my stepmother's wedding and engagement rings (fused together) on the middle finger of my left hand.  I was "maid of honor" at the wedding when she married my dad - actually my step dad, but he married my mother when I was only 3 yrs old and he raised me, so he really WAS my dad.  My mom died when I was only 23.

My advice: Do what feels right for you.

I wear my wedding set on the left ring finger, my engagement ring on my right & my husbands 1st wedding ring (He out grew it, What can I say we were babies when we got married) on my right pointer finger.  I also wear my great great  grandmothers weddingring on my pinkie.  Do you think that's enough commitment LOL...

Congrats & wishing you a lovely wedding day & married life.

Thank you! Great Ideas, I did think about putting my engagement finger on my middle so they could be side by side but both my ring fingers are the same size (more or less) so that way If I changed my mind, I wouldtn have to get them sized again, ya know. lol

I talked to the hubby to be yesterday about it, and he doesnt have a problem with me wearing them on separate fingers. Im getting so excited about the wedding! Wish it was sooner.

I had my engagement and wedding rings "fused" together to make just one ring.  Of course the diamond in my engagement ring is quite small (I, too have short fingers) and my wedding ring is a plain band with "etching" that matches the band of the engagement ring.  Both rings are relatively narrow, so it's not like it takes up my whole finger.

*If* I were going to do something else, such as wear them on separate fingers, I might want to resize the engagement ring to fit on the middle finger of my left hand, then wear the wedding ring on the ring finger (after the wedding, of course) - they'd still be "side by side".... then the promise ring could be worn on the ring finger of your right hand.

When I got married the 2nd time I didn't want an engagement ring and we put the money into the house instead.  So I only wear my band on my left hand and since I have small pudgy hands very dainty rings look best.  On one of my anniversaries my husband bought me a lovely ring with diamonds and a ruby and I wear that on my right.  The promise ring as a pinky ring might be nice if you like a lot of bling on your hands or you may want to look at having it reset as a pendant and where it around your neck.
