SUNDAY MORNING WEIGHT CHAT

This is the second thread regarding our weekly weigh ins.  Please be sure you complete the "SUNDAY WEIGH IN" and YOUR WEIGHT TRACKER.

In this thread, we can all share how our week has gone and discuss things that worked and our successes .. as well as those we had difficulty or struggled with.

Would truly like to hear if you're using your food tracker and what your initial thoughts are.

This can be a powerful post to all of us!  Let's all work to support each other and learn to enjoy this amazing journey we're on!

I'm just getting back on my diet this week, which is why my weight drop was so drastic.  I am a big eater so the first week that I am eating the proper amount of calories and exercising, my weight dumps.  I've been yo-yo dieting for too long.  I have many food allergies and must eat whole foods, in a house of junk food junkies and a low budget w/high stress.  I had lost all my weight but in my adult years I have been constantly dieting.  I'm now 6 years post-meno which makes things harder but not impossible.  I saw my doctor last week and my BP was borderline high.  Doc said if my BP is not down in 3 months he'll medicate me.  I'd rather lose the weight anyhow and my BP  is down already.  I also had to give up wine, which I enjoy relaxing with but get used to maintaining without.  It's not as fun though.  Alcohol just totally kills my willpower.

ChitChatNine- I gave up 'sweet' totally and exchanged it for fruit.  You'd be surprised.  Yes, I do have sweets on occasion.

Elaine1961, our figures are similar- I try to eat between 1200-1500 (max 1600) and like to burn around 500.  I'm only 5'4" tall.

Finally, after 2.5yrs of unexplained weight gain I have lost a good am't of weight this month .. some good stress helped by no time to eat snacks, I have switched to Equal in my coffee and that has lessened the sweet desires, too.

My Vitamin D levels are back to normal and now I'm really wondering if the severe deficiency I had in the Vit D dept was part of the unexplained 25lb wt. gain?  I'll never know, but have used this past month as a stepping stone to maintain what I'm doing.

I have had a really good week, With the help of the food and exercise tracker i have discovered that if i eat around 1400-1500 cals and burn around 500 a day my body responds to this well, if i exercise more or eat less I tend to gain,I think its all about getting the balance right between food, water, exercise and sleep, And I have, this week anyway,

Not a good week for me.  Too much emotional eating and PMS.  Up .8 lbs.  Doesn't look like I am going to hit my 7 lb. weight loss mini target for my birthday this coming week.  This doesn't mean I will give up - I will keep on moving forward.
