Single kidney, High bp, diabetes

I'm considering lap-band surgery to lose the extra weight that  I've gained over last 30 years.  I was born with only one kidney. I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes 2 years ago.  And my doctor just added a second high blood pressure medication as my bp was getting out of control.  I am worried that my only kidney will be damaged.  Can I qualify for medically needed weight reduction surgery?

i want to try slim quik but concerned it may affect my single kidney (was born this way) i do not have high b.p or diabeties or any health problems i just cant seem to get the thirty pounds off with diet and exercise.......any suggestions?

Have you had your thyroid checked to make sure you don't have hypothyroidism?  

Slim quik is a question to ask your doctor, as we can't tell you how this might affect a single kidney......

Maybe you need to take another look at your diet and exercise (i.e too many calories/not enough exercise), or get tested for other metabolic issues.
