Congratulations on the loss, though.
Sorry I have not be around. I broke my scale so, I have to get a new one! :( Anyway, I still have exciting news! My pants are actually falling off my behind! I NEED A SMALLER SIZE!!! Am in smaller tops! I also feel so light on my feet! On the down side, I have lost a lot of weight in my face and neck. Am all wrinkled up. I think a face left and neck tuck is in my future! LOL! :D
Welcome Nancy. Yes, it seems that a lot of our members weigh on Monday and if that works for you, that's fine. There's a new weigh in thread posted every Sunday.
Children and grandchildren seem to be great motivators for us to get weight off and try to be healthier. It's never to late.
I just started the weight-loss journey again;however, as everybody else seems to weigh-in on Mondays, I shall also--I am soon-to-be 69;have a hiatal hernia, HBP, Tjyroid, but am beginning once again, so I can enjoy my Granddaughters more--4 and 7, so here I am and we shall try again. Nancy
gained a few ounces but suppper bloated, 177, not bad for no exercise yet
Sorry to hear about your break up and the subsequent binges; that happens to us all at time, so don't beat yourself up. I'm glad you're better and hope you can pick up and get back on track. Staying the same is better than gaining, so you did good.......
KittenMeow -- sorry you feel stuck, but hey, a pound lost is a pound lost.
Food diary is great. I've been keeping one for a while and it really can be an eye opener. Too often we think we aren't eating all that much, when in reality, we're going way over a calorie allotment. Jogging in sand is supposed to be very good exercise. Keep up the good work.
Hello Ladies!
So I went from 233 to 232, I'm feeling stuck. I decided to finally try out a food diary to see where/how to improve my eating habits. I'm going to do my best to keep track. The weather is nice here in California and I got some good excercise at the beach, I found this mountain of sand to jog on, its quite intense! Im going to try to go there once a week.
Congrats to everyone who lost weight and keep it going! One week at a time :) Stay Strong
@Coco: Sorry to hear about your break up, hope your feeling better :)
Yay Barb you lost a lb.!! That's great! My week was rough. My boyfriend of 4 years and I broke up so I did binge a few times and I haven't worked out in a week, but I'm happy to say I didn't gain or lose anything I'm still at 152.
Wow - snow in May; how unreal is that? Some friends of ours from up north sent us a picture last week captioned "15 inches and counting". I'd almost forgotten those days.......lol
Well, if the kids' activities are keeping you on the run, try using their practice time for your own exercise. Grab some other parents and take a brisk walk while they're playing T-ball.
Great that you're cutting out the refined sugar and adding more water. Small steps will allow you to make changes you can live with.
Thanks for the congrats....... I need it.........lol
Looks like I'm up to 199.4, can't complain I haven't been able to fit much time for exercise this week due to my kids activity schedule and the weather, we had snow this week! Even with the weather we still had T-ball practice nearly every night between both of my kids. Here's to better luck for next week, I have been slowly cutting out refined sugars and adding in more water and less coffee.
Congrats on a pound lost Barb!
