fibromyaglia, arthritis amd diabetic to list a few of my ailments.also currently i had to stop due to i have a diabetic foot ulcer not allowed to walk at all on my foot.i watch what I eat I hope you have support because support is very very important.I wish you the best.and pray that you achieve your goals We are all in this together. have a great day Happy Easter if you celebrate it:)
Thanks for the ideas,
Melissa I eat 3 meals a day throughout the day I have one healthy snack around 7pm and I workout 3 times a week. I use a app to track caloric intake as well as my activity , and water intake. I would never starve as I know it does more harm than good .
Mzburgandy- I do not expect surgury to be a cure all just an aide to my weightloss I work very hard at my weightloss and take what I eat very seriously. However I do realise that with physical limitations such as nerve damage due to spinal damage and asthma an constant pain I may not be able to physically do all the excersise I need to at y current size. My hope is that if I loose some of the weight I will be able to move better therefore exersise more to loose the rest at current I need to loose a minimume of 150lbs.
I realise it is serious however with limited mobility and a sedentary career, activity is difficult. I have recently decreased my caloric intake to 1500 which i spread out troughout the day 3 meals and one healthy snack. I dont eat alot of red meat, no fried foods lots if fruits and veggies, little to no bread or pasta and I use nuts and a protein supplement to make up for the lack of red meat as I know I still need the protein. I am not gaining weight at this time just not loosig any either. Thanks for the ideas
If you eat just before a workout, your body will burn the food you just ate, instead of stored body fat.
I think death from this surgery is rare, but even after you have it, you have to be very careful of your eating habits, because your stomach is left very small and can't handle large amounts of food.
It takes 3500 calories to gain/lose 1 pound. If you're eating 2000 calories/day and not doing any exercise, you could be gaining nearly a pound, every 2 days.
Perhaps 2000 calories is not enough. You need to balance out your proteins and carbohydrates. If you don't eat enough throughout the day or starve yourself and eat all 2000 at one time your body goes into starvation mode and it will be impossible to lose even 1 lb. Eat something before and after your work out especially if you use weights. Nothing huge but something for your body to burn. I have a lot of friends that did the bypass and only one of them had an issue medically however you have asthma so it may cause you more of an issue. Discuss with your medical professional and good luck
Weight loss surgery is very serious. It is NOT a cure all for being overweight .many ppl have died having this surgery for weight loss .talk to a nutritionist and maybe someone can help you there surgery is not the answer to the problem.
Maybe 2000 calories is too much for you. Have you calculated your actual calorie needs? We can help you do that, if you like.
Keeping a food diary is an excellent aid to weight loss, as is keeping track of your exercise. MH has a really good app for tracking calorie intake.
