Unexplained rapid weight gain

Hi. I am 34 years old and 5'6. I have always weighed between 108 and 110 lbs, but in the past month my weight has jumped to 120. I exercise regularly and haven't changed my diet. I noticed my abdomen getting bigger and then the weight jumped up. Could this be hormonal? I am exhausted all the time, my menstrual
cycle is out
Of whack. I know
I'm not pregnant though. I've also been very thirsty and getting headaches. I have even tried cutting back on calories and still can't lose weight.

Yes, it could be hormonal.  Ask your doctor to run a thyroid panel to make sure your thyroid is functioning properly.  You need to have TSH, Free T3 and Free T4 tested; don't settle for just TSH, as many doctors will do.  Thyroid malfunction can cause the weight issue, fatigue and menstrual issues.

You should also get blood sugar levels tested.  Extreme thirst is a symptom of diabetes.

You could also be in beginning stages of peri-menopause, though you're quite young for that.  Still a possibility.

Ask for a complete blood work and thorough exam.
