Hello, last year I had a hysterectomy and repair surgery after that, I sat around alot and did nothing because of pain. I am finally starting to feel better. Also my boyfriend and I recently got back together, he sees beyond my weight, but it's really hard for me to be around his friends and thier skinny wives. My main bulk is around my stomach. I know that I need to start an excersise program, just not sure where to start? I would like to loose atleast 60 lbs.
I found a one minute workout dvd on netflix. I hate to exercise...but this dvd lets you choose how long and what area you want to work on. I can also relate to your boyfriends skinny wives. I hear you...Good luck..I still have a LONG way to go but I am taking it one minute at a time
You can also lose weight by modifying your diet. Not by eating less but by eating differently. You can take brisk walks as long as you are not in a dangerous area. I found diet alone can make the difference. I recently lost 78lbs 279 -> 201 lbs (I am 6'6) and I know the embarrassment of getting out in public and exercising. Diet, combined with light/moderate exercise such as walking or indoor exercises you can do in the comfort of your home can get you well on your way. Once you loose the initial few pounds I'm betting you'll feel more confident in getting into more vigorous activities. Go see a dietician. Get them to sit down with you and draw up a meal plan and make sure you STICK TO IT. One thing I've found is weight loss, for me at least, was it is a life style change. Diet and exercise is something I still use in my everyday life and I plan too continue to. In a way your fortunate, because you have the opportunity to make a durastic change to yourself in which you can look back on and take pride in, and you'll have more of an appreciation for the healthier side of life. I too like everyone else have struggled with weight since having 4 kids, but most recently with the diagnosis of Fibromyalgia it's almost impossible for me to loose weight. Since being sick my normal body temp is about 96.8 and I am always cold. I truely believe that my body can't burn the calories or fat any more. I need to loose 25kg/50 pounds. It is quite scary as I gained a lot of wait when I worked night shift at a call centre. Now it is to get rid of these kilos, but not sure which diet to approach. The way I lost weight is maybe not the healtiest most will say. I have been told by my docter that she did not agree with my diet. Yet back in Oct of 06 I was 203 lbs. Im 5'3. My cholesterol was so high my blood work was really bad. I was so overweight I hated to leave my house. It was emotional over eating. I tried everything. Diet pills, south beach, low carb, and yes they all work and the diet pill ones worked as well along with chest pains but it always came back and Id just turn around and start eating again. It would come back. Nothing worked for me. Everyone is different. Some diets will work andsome wont but will on others. I think it just depeneds on the person. I got sick of the counting points on weight watchers (but it worked great) I got sick of counting caleries, carbs, weighing my portions. I work so much I have 2 kids. It was a pain for me. I wanted a diet where I didnthave to keep trck, write anything, count anything. If I ate, I over ate! I just decided I didnt want to eat period! But knew that wasnt possible.

So I decided to detox my body and fast for 14 days. It then turned into 18 days. At 18 days I was down to 170. I would take my little herb packesta do my juice everywhere with me. It was so easy because i dodnt have to count or keep track of anything and my skin started glowing. It worked instantly. Alot of it is water weight but it does clean out well and does help shrink the stomach. I started doing it off and on since Nov of last year. I would Juice only for 5 days, and eat light on the weekends but I also did cut out meat for a few months and took vitamins and i would eat raw veggies and fruits on weekends. Now I am down to 135 lbs. I never thought I could be a size 7 again. I still want to lose 15 more, but Im happy where I am. I slowly added food back in. The first few weeks I only did raw veggies. I carry 2 bottles of water with me everywhere I go. I work out but not always. I now can eat normal again but its so much asier to watch what i eat and not over eat. I do try and keep red meat out. I rarely eat chicken. I usually eat fish and egg whites. I eat nuts and fruits and veggies most of the time. Low on dairy. No sodas. I never imagined life without sweets and sodas and fast foods. I dont even crave them, at all.
Lately Ive been down so I have been a bit depressed due to marriage issues and I made some bad choices in my life. Anti-depres meds and bad stuff. But I plan to bounce right back on Monday and get back on track and work on those 16 lbs.

Ive been yelled at by my family then they turn around and try it and love it. Many have told me Im crazy and that Its an eating disorder. But I love food. I only did the lemon juice diet a few times. I actually like the hollywood juice better because I didnt have to make it. I just bought the boughttle 2 for $30.00 at Wal-Greens and Id mix 4oz with 4oz of water 4 times a day and sip t all day and also lots nd lots of water all day. Plus I feltthe juice had a bit more carbs and calories my body needed to make it longer on the fast.
The Lemon juice made me weak but did work good as well.
The first few days are the hardest. The first day is bad, but trust me..if you can make it pastthe first day, you will be ok. Buy a scale. You see weight loss eveyday and it motivates you to keep going.
Best thing to do on first few days is take a few days off work or start on a weekend. Rent movies and just bum it in bed alot and sleep alot.
Also, dont try working out while you are fasting. It's way too draining and will make you hungry.
Every now and then Id have cravings but after seing all I lost I was excited to keep going. Its good to have an even in mind. Like Thanksgiving. You know you want to lose so much by then so you know to fast for so long but give your self a week or more before thanksgiving to start eating again and add raw veggies and broths first. You cant just quit and have a big feast because it will make you sick. I actually did that and almost had to go to a hospital I was in so much pain.
