Thanks everyone.  I did get my lab order straightened out this afternoon, so at least I'll be getting the tests done.  Tomorrow, I'm determined to get in at least 30 min on Wii.

Thanks you guys.  I appreciate the encouragement.  I think I've got some other medical issues that are contributing to my inability to lose weight.  3 hours of blood tests on Wed and dr's office even forgot to put all of the ones we talked about on the lab order, so am trying to get that figured out too.

Anyway, even though I'm not losing anything at least I'm not gaining a ton while I wait for dr to finally believe I have more problems (besides thyroid) and who knows - maybe one of these days, I'll even lose a few.  Again, thanks for the encouragement.  You guys are all great!!

Gokuangel, you'll probably get rid of your 12 lbs in no time flat, the way you've been going at it.  Keep up the good work.

Dont get discouraged Barb!! Keep at it and you will get there! Even on mine it says my bmi is ok but the best is at 22 and with their system that does mean i need to lose like 12lbs so even i have a ways to go b4 i will happy with my weight and stuff!!

It sounds frustrating to hear that everyday I bet.  Imagine the day though when your wii doesn't say that anymore.  Keep at it.  Every little bit counts for something.

I'm looking for more games that are compatible with the Wii board, but haven't seen any in stores and haven't had time to research online.

As far as Wii Fit age is concerned - when I started out, mine came up a couple of times around 70, so you can see how much I've improved over time.  The balance games are really good for that!!  The tree pose????  That's still a tough one for me and even still, the trainer sometimes says "you put your foot down, didn't you??", but I'm getting lots better at it.  Just takes time and practice.  A lot of mine depends on how tired I am when I'm trying to do it.  I get up at 3:30 am and have to leave for work by 5:00 am, so obviously don't have a lot of time to exercise before work, so by the time I get home and can start working out it's usually about 3:30 pm and I've been through my workday and am pretty tired, so I never know if I will do well or not.  The only thing I don't like about the whole system is when I do the body test and it comes up and says "that's overweight".  Yeah - I can tell, so don't really need to be told every day and it's rather discouraging to know that I'm working as hard as I can at it and getting anywhere.  Oh well, keep plugging along!!  Everyone have a good day!!

I am so jealous.  It is on my xmas list.  Hopefully hubby will be able to find one for xmas.  I am such nerd and love video games.  Play Nintendo DS a lot.  Guess I am holding on to still being a kid for a little while longer.  Oh well.  Really hoping to open up my presents and find one.  Anything to make exercising more fun!!!

gokuangel - If your 52, then I must be like 100!!!  LOL.

I've had mine for about 2 1/2 months and I do love it - my biggest problem lately has been lack of time to use it as I've had dr and dentist visits, lab work, etc to get through.  Will be so glad when that's all done.

I agree with TrudieC - put all you have into the exercises and stay at it regularly.  I have not lost any weight (in fact, gained some this past week, but as I said, I haven't had much time to use it), but I know I have built muscle and have lost some inches in my thighs and arms.  I've also gotten a lot better at some of the exercises than I was when I first started (I couldn't begin to stand on one leg for 30 seconds, but I can now!!). I like that it gives you a "Wii Fit Age" - I'm 59 yrs old and my Wii Fit age usually runs between 36 and 42 yrs, so I'm not in bad shape, just too fat!!  Also, the sports games that come with the Wii system are very good and yes, do get up and move like you were really playing that sport.  The boxing game is a great workout for the arms.

The main thing is to enjoy!!!

I just got mine!! So i am a newbie also but so far i say its really good to work out on and its fun!! I have heard advice to do other workout exercises as well so whatever you are doing now keep at it or incorporate it with the WII Fit.  the running is very good and my abs hurt from hula game lol!! I wanted mine for christmas too but once we found out all the stores are hiding them until black friday we decided to buy now b4 they really are gone!!

Wait...  I'm still stuck on the "I got it just have to wait for the offical day you know."  Are you doing some carrying on with Santa or somethin'?  Just how do you already know you got it?  Will you ask for one for ME???? (Obviously, I got no pointers - got no Wii - poor me!!!)

I'm still relatively  new at it but I do love it.  I would encourage you to put all yourself into the exercises, not just enough for the system to recognize it.  This is pretty easy to do on the WII Fit side.  You can also get a little exercise from the sports game that comes with it.  When doing the bowling, tennis, golf, baseball, etc. get up and really swing and move so you can benefit from that too.

Ours was a santa gift too but we decided to be bad and indulge ahead :)
