black and white coffee

why does the calorie counter show a black coffee at 30 calories, and a white coffee at 25?  No sugar in either.

There are web sites on which you can type in the ingredients of your recipes, and how many servings are in each and the program will tell you how many calories each serving contains, as well as other nutritional information.

Once you have that information the food diary lets you add your dishes.  You'll find this feature under the "My Foods" section of the food diary. I'll be glad to help you with it, if you like.

I have just started a diet in preparation for a Gastric Bypass op in 2014. Thing is, I keep getting "the runs". What do you think is causing this?

I'm sure your shepherd's pie is delicious. I am glad you are not my neighbour or I'd be piling on the calories!   Some of the calorie estimations look weird to me - I started this string when I found on the 'all' food link in the diet diary that black coffee was 30 calories and white was 25 - obviously an error but it seems impossible to remove incorrect entries.

Ooops got to go!  Sorry

Thats a good question flower. Im a culinary student and make homemade meals/goodies all the time. You cant always find the calories of said meals. Like my Shepherd's Pie for example, its insane trying to figure THAT out lol

OK, thanks.  Perhaps we could ask if anyone knows of a place where we can write in foods or exercises that do not appear on the app's lists and find out information like calories, nutrients, and so on. For instance, today I did 15 minutes of rapid walking up and down hill, but I do not know how many miles of kilometres that was or how fast I was going, so I had to imagine a calorie number based on my experience on treadmills.   And since I do my own cooking and do not use packets, and use ingredients that are not on the list I really don't know how to deal with those either.

Sorry to be so talkative.  Just ignore this if you prefer.

I do use the app...... I'm not a designer/consultant but I am Community Leader for the forum.  If there's something I can help you with, I'll be happy to, or try to find answers for you.

Thanks, yes I have figured it out.  I am estimating about the 'white' part because I use a small quantity of semi-skimmed milk but do not find the exact fat percentage on the list of milks, and for such a small amount I really don't think it makes a huge amount of difference anyway.
Are you a user of the app, as I am, or a designer/consultant?  I have a couple of minor queries if you are involved in the organisation.
Thanks again.

Hope you got if figured out?  Of course, the exact calorie count of your "white" coffee would depend on whether or not you're using a creamer and which brand, or if you're using milk and what "type" (skim, 2%, etc) it is, or even real cream, for that matter.

I must have clicked on a weird 'black' coffee and 'white' coffee from the 'frequent' list of foods/drinks.  Thanks for the reply

Is this a MH calorie counter?  From what I can see from the MH Food Diary, black coffee is only 2 calories and a serving of creamer is 30 calories.
