Usually, if it's telling you to eat too few calories, like that, you have your goal dates too close together and are trying to lose too much weight too quickly.
1200 is sort of an arbitrary figure... you might actually need more calories than that, but you have to calculate that, based on your current height, weight, age and activity level.
