Try eating several smaller meals throughout the day, rather than one or two really large meals. Also, eat from a smaller plate, as was suggested. I've read, as well, that eating from a red plate helps us eat less, because we're used to red, being a signal to stop. I haven't tried this yet, because I haven't found a single red plate.
If you're going through emotional issues, it might also be worthwhile to get help for those. Often, once we get those dealt with, our eating disorders will take care of themselves.

I'm afraid I'm an over eater as we'll... I eat on a side plate at dinner for a day or so, and this helps your stomach shrink. It's what we should actually eat off of and it won't slow your metabolism because your not not eating. Lots of water as you have been doing helps as we'll. the first night is always the hardest! I'm always avaliable for a chat, I'm finding it hard to!:I
you are not eating because of hunger you are emotionally eating, try to stop your self before you eat or over eat: count to 100 ,read a book, *I like this one the best* make a plate with little food or enough and take it and go seat really comfortably with a blanket or something and then you won't get up
