I have heard of women athletes whose periods have stopped or become irregular due to the extreme physical activity, but not usually with normal exercise. According to the National Institutes of Health pregnancy is often the first thought when a period is missed, but there are many reasons for having a late period. The rate of primary amenorrhea in the United States is less than 1%. The rate of secondary amenorrhea (due to some cause other than pregnancy) is about 4% in the general population.
Factors that can disrupt normal menstruation include:
* Drastic weight reduction
* Eating disorders
* Stress
Here are their recommendations:
Call your doctor to determine if you may be pregnant.
A proper diet is recommended for a missed period caused by drastic weight loss or obesity .
If your missed period is the result of too much exercise, cutting back to a more conservative workout program can help.

I haven't heard of exercize delaying a period but I know if I spend more time around women I don't usually spend time with, my body starts adjusting to their cycles. Although I have not lost any weight recently, I have been walking more and my period showed about 6 days late this month... Maybe there is something to that! I would be interested in hearing from others on this one.
Congrats on the weight loss!
