3 years ago i was a slim young girl with a beautiful figure. during last 3 years i've got 10 kg and can't lose it anymore. please, help me! what shall i do to be slim again? i wort at the office from early morning till evening and can't do sport, i follow diet and never have supper. maybe i do it wrong... will be thankful for any help!!!
I have a advice to you! I've just tried the Simply Bar and Simply Protein Chips. It's a great weight loss snack and no artificial sugars too! Each bar is 16g of protein and under 160 calories! And the chips are 15g of protein and 150 calories. I feel satisfied after but not stuffed. Really keeps the hunger away. You can snack at the office!!
From my experience with weigh loss, your problem must be your inactive metabolism. The thing is that the only way to increase it is excersise and often and small meals. Not eating supper at all won't help, since you let your stomach empty for too many hours. From what nutritionists say, that is like telling your body to store the calories you take in durning the day in the form of fat because you will starve yourself from a certain hour till morning.
What you really need is motivation. I know cause the "i don't have time, due to work" used to be my excuse. But for a month now, i work out six days a week at 8 o' clock when i return home from work and twice day at weekends that i have more time. I also do my best to watch the calories i take in but also eat every three hours or so. You need to excersise and you need to be patient about it. If gym is not an option then there are tones of videos, from aerobic full sessions to dynamic excersises and HIIT training you can do comfortably at home (that's what i do, because i can't afford gym.)
Just work out and eat healthilly. Also what i relized after years of failure is that when i say i'm on a diet i fail. No. Diet fails. What does not fail is changing your eating habits. I know i will watch my calorie intake and the quality of my food, not for six moths, but for the rest of my life. I am willing to do it. I used to eat one chocolate every day and now i eat only once a week (maximum!).
You just need to get to a point when you want it so much, that you will make everything possible. Download images of body-idols you have (mine are Scarlet Johanson, Zooey Deschanel, Monica Belucci), try look at them every day (it helps me stay focused and try and gets my off my but when i whine to myself i'm too tired to excersise.) I really hope i helped.

I'd strongly urge you to go get some simple blood tests to determine whether or not your thyroid is functioning properly.
Your thyroid controls your metabolism, heart rate, body temperature, as well as other body functions. If it doesn't work properly, your whole system will be "off", including weight and skin issues, hair loss, feeling cold, fatigue, constipation, etc.
You need to get tested for TSH, Free T3 and Free T4; you should also get tested for thyroid antibodies, TPOab and TGab to determine if you have an autoimmune thyroid disease, called Hashimoto's Thyroiditis.
You should also get tested for insulin resistance, since insulin is considered a "fat storage" hormone and if your body doesn't use insulin properly, you'll gain weight.
I'm very petite and used to be slim, also, until my thyroid stopped working and my body stopped using insulin properly. I struggled with the weight gain for over a year before I was diagnosed and it was very frustrating. Even though I've been diagnosed for 5 years, I still struggle...
I'm going to follow some of the good advice here also' as I find myself on the same boat as the OP with an office job, very long hours and it has gotten totally out of control with my health and weight! I have got to make changes or I just will not be around much longer.
