losing weight on synthroid for thyroid

I am hoping to get some advice here. I have been trying to lose weight for a couple of years with no luck. Have gained a little but mostly stayed the same. I just started taking synthroid for my thyroid 2 weeks ago. In that 2 wks i have had enough energy to work out a little. But with my knee problems i can't do alot of cardio. i have lost 1.5 pds in 2 weeks but looking for advice on how to lose 2 pds a week instead of 1.5 in 2. I eat healthy but due to thyroid problems, my metabolism is still pretty slow but better than it was.
any advice? i don't want to take diet pills and can't afford the B12 everyone seems to be talking about.

They are honestly safe enough for even a nursing mother to take, depending on where you get them.  I looked at mydietsolutions' credentials and at the doc's, and was very "at peace" about ordering.  I haven't seen the pills anywhere else online, but I haven't really had to look.  I do the injections as well and they are dispensed through a US pharmacy, so I know what I'm getting.  It scares me when people say to get them from Mexico... I did that one time with an antibiotic because at the time we lived close to the border,  and got very sick.  Would never do it again.  My mom worked in a pharmacy most of her life and I was a tech in high school and college, so I'm very picky about where I buy anything from and am very picky about sterile technique.

thank you so much for your reply. i have been stuck at 150 pounds for over a year. so you lost 25 pounds in like 2 months? that is amazing. can you purchase these pills anywhere other than online? and they are safe to take with synthroid? it's great to hear that even with the thyroid issue i may still be able to lose the weight.
thank you

I'm so sorry you're having to go through all the Thyroid problems.  Been there, am doing that, and it's NOT any fun (as you well know).

By finding out your actual caloric needs, you'll be able to find out how many you need in a day factoring in a "sedentary" lifestyle, then cutting that number by 500 each day you should theoretically lose around a pound a week.  Now with Thyroid issues it's a bit different, because it tends to be harder for us.  I agree with you on the diet pills, they tend to have bad side effects for those of us with Thyroid issues.  The B12 you've talked about is mostly for energy, which in turn helps you exercise more (even if it's just being up more and moving around doing laundry, cleaning, etc. that's a start).  The biggest thing about the B12 is the Lipotropics (3 amino acids) that are being added to help break down the stubborn fat we gain and to support the liver while moving it out.  It DOES come in a pill form called LipoBC and costs a whole lot less than the injections that I'm sure you've priced.  My suggestion is for you to google LipoBC or google mydietsolutions and check prices.  It's actually just as affordable as most of the other aids out there, and much safer.  I know it's hard to lose weight, and some things are so expensive, but I honestly lost the bulk of my 25 pounds since Thanksgiving doing the tablet form.
HTH!
