I don't know your height, but 50 kg is only 110 lbs; 60 kg = 132 lbs ---that doesn't seem like much for a 23 yr old male (I looked at your profile).

What types of food do you eat?  How much exercise?

by rag86, Oct 23, 2009 11:57AM
i am a female this profile is in my pheonsy name . i eat oats in morning and rice in afternoon and rice in night . and walking daily....

I'm sorry about that -- I just looked at the profile and saw male.  Please don't take offense.  That said, let's start over.

What is your height?  It still doesn't sound like 132 is a lot for a 23 yr old female, but again that depends on your height.  If you are very short, it could be too much.

As far as your food -- do you eat any fruits and vegetables?  Meats? Dairy?
Do you mean "oats, as in oatmeal" - hot cereal?  Rice -- white rice, brown rice?  What do you eat with it?

How  much walking do you do daily?  How fast the pace?

Again, I apologize -- I'm not trying to be nosy; just that I can't help much without the details.

pls suggest me some valuable ideas... which could help me out...

Okay, I'll admit that for only 5' your weight is right at the top of the range.  I, too, am only 5' tall, but I'm a lot older than you are, so I get to add some weight........haha..

You say you "use to" -- does that mean you no longer do these things?  Why don't you eat fruits?  Why don't you eat meats? Why not oats?  Why only white rice with vegetable gravy?  White rice, with vegetable gravy is right next to a starvation diet, if that's all you are eating.  Your body needs all types of foods, including fruits, nuts, vegetables, meats, dairy and whole grains, in order to be healthy and to lose weight.

Why don't you walk anymore?  Exercise is essential for good heath AND losing weight.........

Do you have access to fruits and vegetables, nuts, whole grains, meats and dairy?

I'm sorry to keep asking so many questions and I don't want to offend you, but I'm confused because you said in your original post that you are "in proper diet", yet white rice with vegetable gravy is not proper diet to be healthy and/or lose weight.

You'll have to help me, help you...

i am walking everyday and eat vegetables with rice and fruit but i dont know y suddenly i am putting on weight ....

by Barb135, Oct 28, 2009 05:34PM
It could be that your are eating too much white rice, maybe not enough calories/day?  Maybe not enough exercise?

You don't say how many calories you eat/day or how long you walk.......

It's really hard to come up with ideas on the limited information you are giving.

Barb's suggestions and comments are indeed what we need to know to help you.  May I kindly suggest you add the Food Diary, the weight tracker and the exercise trackers?  By completing those on a daily basis .. this will allow you to obtain very accurate information and allow us to view those and offer suggestions that may be beneficial.

At first blush, it seems you may be starving your body of essential foods/nutrients and your body is responding by holding onto every ounce of weight it can to preserve your life.  In addition, I am wondering if you are drinking water?

Please implement the tools that this wonderful site has formulated to help us and to let us help each other.  We're glad you are hear and hope to hear from you soon as to how you are doing.

Hugggssss ...
