yeah i ate extra... now im drinking vitamin shakes and eating and working out... i hope i see results
Were you eating extra WITH the working out?
Yes, try the drinks with your meals - DON'T replace a meal with them, make sure they are in addition to a meal.
Good luck!
=( its been almost a week now since i started working out and i havent gained any pounds!!! =( so im drinking =( i think i need it ....
It REALLY was Barb first. But since I'm innocent, I don't have to say anything. I'll just sit here all quit like. Just minding my own business. baddy69 knows the TRUTH - AND HE DOESN'T WANT TO BE A TUTU BOY!!!
SHE started it, really she did, I promise!! She even has this "satellite vision" and she knows everything I'm doing. I'll start covering my screen so she can't read it anymore, how's that?? lol
thanks guys for your support =)
Welcome baddy69 and see you have met two of our outstanding WL&D members who simply have Awesome spirit and give much support! They both contain a wealth of knowledge and offer many smiles along our healthful journeys!
Try eating protein to help build muscles and gain weight. Add a scoop of protein to your oatmeal, add it to a shake with yogurt/milk and some fresh fruit. Keep your meals balanced and healthy, you can just partake some more or eat more than a handful of nuts. We can have them, we just have to have a few .. you can have more!
Glad to have you here .. this community is all about helping each other achieve our goals in a positive, friendly, information, supportive and encouraging way. We are a team and we're thrilled you are here!!!
Barb and Tweher - You two are simply hysterical!!! You simply have to quit copying each other's computers .. or you're both going to have to go to the corner .. lollll
Don't forget to keep us posted.
ok thanks :) and my goal is to gain 20 pounds :)
All you have to do is pick a goal and work toward achieving it. Welcome aboard and good luck!! Make sure you keep us posted on your progress.
i want to be a clown! lol
Of course, twehner is just CLOWNING around, as usual!! Stick with us, we'll lead you down the path to weight weight gain - we went there didn't we, surely we can show someone else the way. Just kidding.
Please do read the posts for which twehner sent the links and feel free to choose a team, but DO make sure you pick the RIGHT team!! You sound like a nice, innocent young person and I'm not sure I'd really like to see a 6'1", 144 pound TUTU person; just doesn't seem right!!
BTW - we do a lot of clowning around, but we do get serious also so try working a weight LOSS program backwards and please do stick around and let us know how that works out for you. I, personally, have had very few opportunities to try that one out!!
Another thought - don't expect it happen overnight. Just like taking weight off, I'm sure that putting it on safely will take some time.
Lookin' forward to more posts from you.
To find out more about the clown suits, you can read the following posts:

They will explain the "friendly" rivalry between us and a poor soul we've dubbed TuTu Boy. Be careful!!! You don't wanna mess with us. Good thing you're on our good side!!!
thanks for the advice :) well im going to start working out today imma keep you guys updated... im thinking of doing before and after pictures too
to: barb and twehner
whats with the clowns? :)
You were going to steal that answer from me weren't you?? Boy am I lucky I got it posted before you peeked at my computer. lol
To: baddy69 ---- twehner5 and I do a lot of "clowning around", but I agree with her about sticking around. Lots of fun to be had and you can see what the clown suit remark is all about.
Besides, it's not often we see someone who needs to GAIN weight - you're kind of like a NOVELTY to us.
Welcome.
Sorry, I don't speak to people of your ilk. No, just "clownin' around"!
But, I think that you have been given good advice. Barb stole my answer!!! Darn her! I hope she has to wear a clown suit on YouTube!!! If you stick around, you'll learn what that means...
Ummmm - I certainly don't recommend that you gain weight the way I did, so I agree with Lonelymom. AND you can still count your calories. You should be able to gain weight just the opposite of losing it. Figure out how many calories you would need each day to maintain your current weight, then ADD enough calories to promote gain. Make sure you eat the right kinds of food to stay healthy, just eat more of them and maybe in different combinations. Keeping a food journal might help to make sure you are getting enough calories.
Also, remember that muscle is more dense than fat, so keep exercising to build up those muscles.
Stick around with us. We'll help you out.
Try the Boost drinks with your meals. Not by itself but with the meal. Also, go to a health store of some sort they can help you with shakes and other food ideas to put weight on and still stay healthy.
