*~*!!pLeAsE HeLp!!*~*

I have been on a small journey to lose weight, for a while I was working out and had lost about 10 pounds but for some reason the motivation was gone.  I changed jobs and still trying to raise my son, moving, I got discouraged and out of a routine.  Now after being in our new home for a couple weeks I am wanting to lose this weight.  I have an elliptical, and an ab lounge, but I want quick results or I stop.  I need motivation and support from people who understand me.  My boyfriend doesn't understand how i'm feeling with being over weight. = / But it *****!! and depressing.  I want to feel beautiful in my own skin and claim my self confidence!!  Any ideas on what else i can do??  I feel like my goal is 100years away.  I'm not seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.

I'm happy to hear that you like fruits, veggies, etc AND that you are making a conscious effort to drink more water -- those are both excellent.

Now, make a conscious effort to EAT those fruits and veggies before they go bad - they are the best for you and with food so expensive, it's a shame not to eat it, when you have it.

There are quite a few things that you can do to stretch your food dollars -- in fact, I posted a thread yesterday about that very subject - you might want to check it out.  In addition, Elaine1961 posted an inexpensive to make, but yummy sounding recipe yesterday also.

I know it's hard exercising with a 2 yr old around -- they love be where they shouldn't when you have your back turned, don't they??   Maybe you could try to get your son to exercise with you??  Make a game of it for him.  That will get you your exercise, plus you'll be spending some quality time with your son.  Otherwise, reserve his nap times for your exercise times.

My mother used to say "where there's a will, there's a way" -- so we just have to look for ways around the obstacles.  Don't give up -- you can do this and maybe we can help you find some ways around those obstacles......

I know how you feel, i've been dieting for about 4 weeks and have only lost a max of  3-4lbs.  I can't get under the 15stone mark, because my partner work's odd shifts i don't like working out in front of him and my bedroom floorboards are squeaky so don't want to embarrass myself by jumping about like an idiot with him downstairs, though i know he wouldn't bother.

I try and eat 3 meals a day with fruit or water in between, but sitting at a desk all day and not exercising much when i go home i know is the reason i'm not losing any weight.  It's all about motivation, once it's there and you set a routine for yourself, you normally find the weight starts to come off but without the motivation there is no point.  Think i have to listen to some of my own advice.

I wish you loads of luck and hope we can both get back into the swing of things with the exercise and eating properly

As far as weight I want to lose 40 pounds.  I eat generally anything besides sea food.  (gross) haha. But other than that I will eat anything.  Right now I have a lot of free time.  I do have a 2 year old which is hard to work out continuously with out him getting into something in the middle of my work out.  But when I was working out a lot more I was working out when he went to bed.  I do like to use my eliptical, but my knees end up burning after a little bit of working out.  And that doesn't make me want to work out.  My ab lounge, I am still not sure if it really works.  I don't ever feel like I have worked out my abs at all.  But right now all I want to do is lose weight and start making better choices.  And that goes for going back to school and my weight and home life.

The major reason I have a hard time eating healthy consistently is money.  I don't make a lot of money, so I rarely eat 3 times a day sometimes I go only eating a meal maybe once.  And snack just a little bit.  I like salads, and fruits and cucumbers and all but sometimes they go bad before I eat them.  I am also trying to drink more water throughout my day.  I am not much of a water person.  Always have been like that and its a hard habit to break.  But I am making an honest effort to drink more.

I guess I don't know where to start.  I did get results from working out last time, but to get back into it is rough.  But I remember I had more energy throughout my day as well.

I'm sorry your post hasn't been answered -- welcome to our community.  I don't like to answer questions with more questions, but in order to give the full benefit of our help, it would be good to know a bit more about you.

Can you tell us how much weight you want to lose?  What types of food do you eat?  How many meals/day?  How much time do you have to exercise?  Do you enjoy the elliptical and ab lounger?  Are you willing to make changes that will serve you over the long haul?

We generally figure that you didn't get overweight over night, so most likely you won't get slim again over night either.  We figure it's safe to lose 1-2 pounds/week.
