phentermine effects

I've been taking phentermine for 4 days now. The first day I felt good, lots of energy everything was fine. On the second day I didn't have the same affect.I actually don't feel to well.I haven't been hungry intil today.Been feeling warm in the face and sometimes my ears feel hot. Is this normal? Should I stop taking these pills? I need to lose this extra weight but I don't want to feel like this. I used these pills back in 2004 and they worked fine but seem to be working different on me this time around. Please help, does anyone else have these side effects or has had them while on phentermine? I should add these pills were RX from the fat doctor in my area.

i took those pills for a while, and they just wear off, they have a euphoric effect similar to cocaine
all drugs have a tendency to work for a little while and then quit
Amphetamine's can make you or break you, i worked in mental health for a long time and saw some people go through major depressions because of this drug
but it may work for you, everyone is different
i was told that once i quit taking the phentermine i would gain all the weight back plus more, and i took them anyway
infact i am at another time in my life were it is an option for me to take these pills again
and i know how dangerous and addicting they are!
'i know your despiration!! going through the same thing
i have been going the WW and OE program and the suggestions that i got from them are the same as what ranea told you

First, Welcome to MedHelp!

Am so sorry you have been struggling with weight for so long but, most respectfully, would suggest that phentermine is not the route to take.  I, too, struggled with weight for many, many years.  Perhaps you will allow me to share with you what I learned.

Weight loss is attainable but there is not a pill or a shot that is going to fix it for us.  If there were, everyone who have taken it and obesity would not be prevalent in our society.

Portion control, counting calories, journaling your food intake and implementing moderate exercise works; I am a testament to that.  So are the other members of the Weight Loss & Dieting community.

Would absolutely love to have you join us in this community if you'd like information on how to lose weight in a healthful way.  Truly feel we can offer you friendship, support, motivation, information and encouragement.  In the end, each of us has to make a personal choice regarding our decision.

Best wishes for your success ... and to your health ..

((Hugs))

Hi!

I havent used phentermine, so i wudnt know the actual side effects it can cause. But if you are feeling uncomfortable you shud consider getting off of it right away..If you feel really bad consider visiting your physician.

I am totally not a diet pill person and infact never have taken any.
Weight loss pills are not the kind of healthy choices one shud make when trying to lose weight. Many people here are doing the weight loss deal the old way and it has served well so far! We are going thru a lifestlye change together in the community and we are learning new things all the time.We share ideas and motivation and of course the occasional hugs!

Try considering exercsing and eating healthy. It is the only way you can keep your weight off in the longer term.Particpate in the discussions here in the board and stay positive and motivated!
