You might want to check out the thyroid forum here on MedHelp.  Many times, thyroid levels can be in the normal range, but symptoms are still present, particularly if you have an autoimmune thyroid disease, which hasn't progressed to the point of making you completely hypo.  It's always worth ruling out.

We've had several members join Weight Watchers.  I think one of the biggest things is that people don't stick with it. We do currently have one member that I know of who recently "rejoined" and so far is doing well.

In order to lose weight successfully and keep it off, you must adopt lifestyle changes, so any "diet" should be something you can live with for the rest of your life.

The problem with taking drugs or other weight loss aids is that once you go off them, it's extremely likely that you will regain the weight.

I've tried green tea and it's never done anything for me, but if it works for you, great.

According to Dr James Beckerman, who is a cardiologist on the MH site, there is no scientific data to support the HCG diet.  The HCG basically, does nothing; it's the extremely, restrictive and somewhat dangerous, 500 calorie diet that causes the weight loss.

Grace, if you're gaining weight on phentermine, you might want to think about getting your thyroid levels tested.  You should get a minimum of TSH, FREE T3 and FREE T4; hypothyroidism is a major cause of weight gain/inability to lose.

HCG Diet protocol directs you always about the perfect diet. i love the way it works towards weight loss. The HCG eating plan is particularly restrictive through with don’t just the number of calories you may consume per day, but what types of foods makes up many calories.

GREEN TEA!!!
its not only good for you but also raises your metabolism. dont buy it bottled buy loose or tea bags and dont put any sugar in it. i make mine in bulk and then chill it in the fridge i drink it while working out instead of water. its killing to birds with one stone, you get your daily water needs and you get a metabolism boost, not just that but it is so good for you and can help everything from fighting colds to keeping skin beautiful.
the first few time you drink it it may taste bitter and not so nice but you get used to it. also look for green tea with strawberry it add some sweetness without adding calories.
