This is definitely not a safe practice for your friend at all! Besides the fact that the pills are not manufactored for intravenous use, and may have coatings, your friend is getting a much larger dose than is safe. A pill is released more slowly into circulation via intestinal absorption, so doses of pills are always higher than recomended doses of injected medications. The probable reason that your friend has lost so much weight so fast is that the drug is being introduced directly into the blood stream where it has a much greater effect than if taken orally, and could lead to serious complications if not stopped.
I agree, but I wanted a second opinion. She does say it hurt and she only has 5 pounds left, but I really worried it would do long term damage.
Thanks
I am so shocked to hear this - it screams of 2 things - desperation or addiction. This is not safe, or healthy - She is obviously comfortable injecting herself and able to get hold of needles and syringes but what on earth gave her the idea to do this.... I would suggest 'your friend' stops doing this immediatley and seeks medical advice and counsel on the best way to lose weight SAFELY!
