BREAST SWELLING

by LucyT81, Jun 09, 2009 04:27AM
Can certain foods or over eating(for example I went to a wedding on the weekend where I ate like a pig for 2 days)cause breast swelling? My breasts have been feeling bigger the past couple of days and my stomach extra bloated. My period is due in about 6days time, could this have something to do with it?What can I take to reduce breast swelling?Im paranoid that it is noticeable. Im trying to eat healthy, however  im worried my 'blow out' on the weekend may have ruined this and im worried ive put on a noticeable ammount of weight, hence my breasts feel bigger.

It is possible that eating high salt foods (like at a wedding!) can result in water retention and the sensation that both your belly and your breasts seem fuller than normal.  As you get back to your normal diet, this is likely to go away.  Your period can sometimes cause fluctuations, but if you do not experience this in general, it's unlikely to be playing a big role at this time.  I do not recommend taking anything for this.  Also, keep in mind that changes in your body like this can occur in the early stages of pregnancy.  Just something to consider. Take care.
