Really wanting to try HcG!

Its I think so important to know that I gained 40 lbs when I first started birth control....I was only taking it for 6months.
I was getting panic attacks, gaining 5-7 lbs a month, and I was becoming paranoid, I actually thought a few times that my husband had hired a hitman to kill me...it was all the pill! Anyways my family dr from when i was a kid found out that i was put on this type of birth control (diana 35) and freaked said I should not be on it due to the high estrogen. I did conceidently start having tummy pains and the found 2 cm in diameter cysts, and a fibriod, although theres no proof I only started to get stomach pain after taking the pill.I stopped the pill and my weight gain stopped as well, for a whole year to be exact until i conceived our first child. But I couldnt for the life of me lose...I was 127lbs at married,  and conceived at 170lbs. I gained 30lbs with that pregnancy and lost 10lbs once she was born, then tried to lose weight again hoping that with prengnancy my body had reset itself, I COULD NOT LOSE weight! I become pregnant unexpectantly with my son, at 190lbs gained 30....lost 10lbs (same!) and I am now at 220!!!! and very unhappy, still unable to lose, I eat very healthly I live in north bc canada and live off of home prepared food, no prepared meals, and tons and tons of salmon! and veggies and fruit. I am a higher strung person with lots of physical exercise, yet I still lose no weight!I started reading about HcG and it sounds so good, maybe a hormone will fix this disater that another hormone caused.Only problem is.....I cant find a Dr that will help me, Im devestated I have found one site http://www.totalhcgdiet.com/?gclid=CNfTsruU0ZwCFR0Sagod8hsoKA# but am still very scared to buy online...please any help!!! .

Hi thought I'd actually post again on this question. Well I am now on my 8 day on the diet and I didnt listen to the negative people that have closed minds and cant fully realize how complex and beautiful the body is. Well I'm down 14 lbs!!!
I even lost 2.5 lbs during my first load day. And starting that very day losing weight in a weird area that I normally dont lose weight in first and a few of my friends have said they have lost weight there first....the thighs!
And now I'm 100% convinced my body is in a stage of Ketosis which is wonderful. I'm 27 and got to that point where everything was a struggle. I now feel like I'm 18 again and 130 lbs!!! only I still have a wasys to go weight wise to ge there, but my body is running so efficiently, I have soooo much enegry...so much for "starvation diet" I drink more than the recommended water and I never have clear pee. So I'm constantly passing something other than the 500 cals I've eaten.
I wish the medical community would stop being so greedy, this method is NOT dangerous by any means.
And even if they arent believers how is 500cals any different than any other diet?
On biggest loser they eat what some 2000cals, and strive to burn 1500cals....that equals =500cals!!!
People fast longer than 43 days! so really the ignorance has to stop, so many could become healthier.
Anys so the fact of the matter is HcG added to the mix of 500cals...makes it so people that have sluggish metabolism that would have to kill themseleves with exercise to see only minimal results only to no matter what fail! Cause thats the only option with those people, you cant keep up that intesity it has fail written all over it. Then HcG should be a Dr's reccommendation in my experience.
but no they would rather put you on drugs that make you poop black oily tar any time you eat something fat......yea I dont even want to know what that does to your insides!
Yet that is FDA approved????
Anyways JAXX once your ready GO FOR IT! I wish I had done it sooner, everything in Dr Simeons protocol has happened to me word for word. I look vibrant! haha glowing....not at all malnurished! It's wonderful!
You can add me to msn if you want daryn_jolene @ shaw.ca

let me just say that after reading that story, im sorry. second, i wouldn't blame you one single bit if you wanted to try the HcG diet to "get the ball rolling" after putting all that weight on! I know MANY people in my area that have done it and are STICKS! I asked this question in my pregnancy forum, so i will see if any of those gals have any thoughts or know anyone who has done it, but i know many who have and they all say it works great.... good luck!

ps- i just had a baby and started out heavier with this pregnancy and am too struggling to lose, so you're not alone!

I started the HCG diet plan about 4 day ago, I have lost 5 pounds. It works for me because I am one of those people who can skip breakfast and lunch, and feel ok all day.I use the releana drops under the tongue 2X a day, and I am on a 500 cal. a day diet.
Lunch is 3 oz lean meat such as chicken or fish 3 oz veg. there are only a few types you can eat. I have the same for dinner and have 2 snacks a day which muct be an apple, orange, 6 strawberries, or a grapefruit. I can drink 2 diet soda's a day. Today has been a tough day for me, but I see the scale going down each day, that gives me the strength to keep pushing on. Best of luck!!!

I'm sorry the suggestions weren't all that helpful.

I think it's healthy to be able to eat outside of our 'normal diet' but in moderation.  Most people do do that -you're not alone in that.

People have written about issues with stubborn weight (both here and in the emotional eating forum).  I haven't heard of anyone saying that both birth control and pregnancies were factors though.  I don't expect your situation is unique just that no one, that I've seen here, has written about both.
From what I've read on the forums the weight issues have resolved themselves when the birth control has been stopped.  Those that didn't resolve themselves were being fueled by other issues where people were comfort eating.

Did your doctor suggest what other factor/s may be involved?  It's a bit lame saying there's another variable there but then doing nothing about it.  Perhaps your health care system is better than ours.  Someone here is likely to say something like that but then sit on it and not do anything about it.  Leaving the poor patient in the same predicament.

Are you eating too few calories?  (Meaning, are you eating enough?)

Low intensity exercise can sometimes be best for losing weight (it has stuff to do with the different energy systems used).
What I have found useful for weight loss has been interval training.  I saw another member mention this recently too.  For me that would be running with some sprints or walking with some runs.  Sometimes just changing your exercise routine around a bit can help.

Sometimes it is not about a number though and about how we look and feel and how our clothes fit, etc.  I expect you know all this though so I trust you when you say you have a problem.

Perhaps because of the failure rate you believe it can't be done through diet and exercise.  Usually when we don't succeed it means we have to change our approach.  This may not even have to be by much.  It may just be a small thing that is holding you back.

I hope the doctor is able to offer some advice and insights into what may be preventing you from achieving your goal weight.

Thank you for your suggestions, I have been trying to do whatever I can on my end, I'm not perfect and have bad days where I dont eat right like anyone else, I was hoping that someone out there has had the same issue of very stubborn weight.
And that mixed with how it was accumlated. I have no doubts that my body isnt working properly since I am someone that is already very active and watches my cal's.
So when I do start doing vigorus exercise with my already set in place regular exercise and trying to eat foods that help burn fats I do manage to lose a small amount of weight, but the weight is so stubborn that the higher level of activity needed to lose just a little cannot be maintained, I get burnt out before real results are seen, I have a major failure rate and have come to the realization that diet and exercise will not be the thing that I will ultimately  allow me to reach my goal. I did see my dr today and he did agree that theres another factor that needs to be figured out, as I am getting nowhere. Something needs to be repaired physically before I am to suceed.

Diet and exercise possibly aren't the only ways to lose weight but in my experience they are the healthiest ways and have the most lasting results.

I can understand why you would feel discouraged.  I too, sometimes despair over ever reaching and maintaining a healthy weight.

I too have looked elsewhere for solutions but I have found them to be ineffective, especially in the long-term.  I have tried diets and pills and other stuff.  All to no avail.

I have heard many people say that they have put on significant amounts of weight when they have used birth control.

My thoughts are:
-read the doctor's blog on HGH (and also his first one on eating less and doing more).
-talk to your doctor to see if there isn't another medical explanation.
-keep a food diary (also one of the doctor's tips!).
-maybe look at the emotional reasons why you may be over-eating (the expert on the emotional eating forum is good too).
-be kind to yourself.  This will be a process and the weight loss won't happen overnight.  The doctor says sleep is good for weight loss too.

Not sure about your cysts but people here who have PCOS say they've struggled with their weight -a lot.
Also, you may need to watch the salmon intake.
It could just be an issue with portion sizes or control.

Just some thoughts.

Good luck with the weight loss.

Does anyone else see the pattern of my weight gain? I didnt gain for a whole year after taking the pill. It stopped almost instantly! And of course I gained with pregnancy, that seems to be a more normal form to gain. I would welcome a better suggestion...but I find it so discouraging when people get hung up on the belief that diet and exercise was the only thing that fixes all problems. I know theres many others out there like me that must have this same issue.

Sorry that was meant to say 2, 4 cm in diameter cysts...which did disolve during my pregnancies. The fibroid is still there and doesnt seem to be the source the stomach pain was coming from when the cysts where still there.
