Heaviness in the arm can have a lot of causes, one of which is heart disease.  I recommend that you call your doctor now and discuss these symptoms.  You want to make sure that this doesn't represent anything dangerous.

Well, high blood pressure can result from many lifestyle choices. So, how are your eating habits? Do you exercise frequently? Is your profession "high pressure?"
Try cutting back on the fat and red meats, exercise at least 5 times a week (cardio!), and see if that helps.
If your job IS high pressure, try taking a day or two off (if possible), and see if that lowers your blood pressure.
As for the pain in your arm, it could be unrelated to the elevated blood pressure, it could just be a mild pain induced by the elevated blood pressure...  among other things. What kind of pain is it?
Good luck.
