I do lipotropic shots every Saturday and Im dropping weight of 3-4 pounds a week. I feel great and am super happy with it. I do the lipo with B-12 shots. I would strangle my Dr if he took me off the Lipo. Sorry youre having bad results. They may not be using the correct Lipo. Good Luck
Hi There - I saw your post on the forum regarding Advanced Lipo Dissolve. It sounds like we started our treatments about the same time. I started mine at the center in St Louis in July 2006. I have had 3 different areas treated with 6-7 treatments in each area and STILL GOING and STILL WAITING, so trust me, you are not alone in your frustration. I spent $6,000 on this and have lost nothing, but have GAINED just like you have, around 10-15 pounds or so. I honestly think that this has caused me to gain weight rather than lose inches as they promised. Since I've already paid the money, I wanted to finish the treatments, as they keep stretching out the plan to 9 treatments, etc. So I called the center at the end of March and they are booked up until the end of MAY. I feel like they have taken my money and ran with it, and the problem is, apparently in order to qualify for any decision of a refund, they claim that you COULD NOT have GAINED weight during treatments. I guess they already figured out that people are gaining weight from this, so this covers their butts when people file their refund claims. Keep me updated on what you and your mother do about it. I am definitely going to try for a refund no matter what. I am surprised that they haven't been sued right out of business already. For anyone out there considering LIPODISSOLVE, it's your decision, but you are better off spending your hard earned money elsewhere rather than throw it in the trash on Lipodissolve.
Lipotropic agents are a class of substances that play an important role in the body's use
of fat. Many substances have Lipotropic properties of which choline, inositol and
methionine are among the most noteworthy. Through their involvement in lipid (fat)
metabolism, Lipotropics help maintain a healthy liver.
Choline & Inositol are co-enzymes that are required for the proper metabolism of fats,
and have the ability to remove fat from the liver. Choline's function in fat metabolism is
tied to its role in bile production. Without choline, fats can become trapped in the liver,
where they can block normal metabolic functions. Choline and inositol are necessary for
normal nerve and brain function.
Choline is a fat emulsifier which aids in emulsifying cholesterol so that it doesn't settle on
arterial walls. Choline works well with inositol to utilize fats and cholesterol. The body can
produce choline, with the help of vitamin B12, folic acid and methionine. Natural choline
production however, may not always be adequate to meet daily needs. Studies show that
diets deficient in choline lead to undesirable changes to liver, kidney and brain functions.
nositol metabolizes fats and cholesterol and aids in transporting fat in the blood system.
Thus, inositol is an aid in the redistribution of body fat and can help to lower cholesterol
levels. It is a member of the B-Complex group and is a Lipotropic agent. A lack of inositol
has been shown to produce an accumulation of triglycerides in the liver.
Methionine has Lipotropic properties similar to those of choline. Two other important
amino acids, cysteine and taurine, depend on adequate levels of methionine for their
biosynthesis in the body. Methionine is one of the nutrients required during the body's
manufacture of choline and a deficiency of this amino acid will adversely affect fat
metabolism.
Methionine is a Lipotropic amino acid which reduces fat and aids in lowering cholesterol.
It can be substituted for choline, which aids in reducing liver fat and detoxifies amines,
which are by-products of protein metabolism. A deficiency may lead to fatty degeneration
and cirrhosis of the liver.
How are Lipotropics given?
Physicians generally prescribe 1.5 cc initially, then 1 cc per week injected intramuscularly.
I posted a new comment on the other blog (advanced lipodissolve KS) My email address is ***@**** Read the other blog and let me know what you think.
Lipo Dissolve is different. They claim that these shots are given and absorbed by your fat cells. The fat cells swell up and get hard, then explode and your body excretes them. It is a cosmetic procedure. They were originally giving 5cc on each side. They have increased it to as much as 30cc per side for some people and it's awful. I don't know anything about what you're getting but I'm glad to hear it's working for you.
I also started treatments in june of 06 in Overland Park.....I also had lost nothing....I feel like it is causing me to gain weight also......Im 24 years old im not over wieght and was also a perfect canidate they told me. They talked me into doing the swan program........I requested a refund in feb of 07 and found out the end of march I was approved for my full $10,000 it is now june 1st 2007 and have yet to see any of my money. They keep giving me the run around. I was told 10 weeks ago my account is in accounting and when my money is credited back to my account they will call me and to stop calling them.....I don't think they acually give your money back....I have contacted the better business bureau and the attorny generals office today so hopefully someone can help me out here.
I can't believe what I'm hearing. If you take in only 1200 calories per day, regardless of how much fat is in those calories), you will lose weight...and not have to shell out so much money either. Unless you sit like a bump on a log all day, day in and day out, you are bound to lose a great amount of weight and inches. Heck....send me your money, I won't inject anything, but will guarantee weight loss if you stick to a 1200 calorie diet. Are you people daft?
you will find support here.

ITS NOT FUNNY EITHER YOU COULD HAVE GOTTEN A INFECTION IN THE SITE THAT YOU SAY IS SO PAINFUL.
I AM ON THESE LIPOVITE SHOTS ONCE A WEEK WITH 25 GRAMS OF FAT A DAY ALLOWANCE AND 1200 CALORIES.
A CLEANSER AND SOME NATURAL PILLS TO GE ME ALONG ALSO. GOOD LUCK AND REPORT THOSE THIEVES.
