Amino Acid Shots

My sister told me about a couple of girls she knows that have taken Amino Acid Shots and achieved significant weight loss. Has anyone heard of this? One of the girls went to Mexico for the shots and the other to Lubbock, Tx. Does anyone know of a doctor in either location that gives the shots?
