Any weight loss on the 2nd week of protocol?

by want2bealoser, Mar 27, 2007 12:00AM
Hi all, I am just curious about those following the protocol, how much have you lost in the second week? was it as good as the first week? Have you gone a day or two without losing? have you changed anything on the diet? Any input is greatly appreciated.

Yes!  The 2nd week was not as good as the first for me.  I think for 3 reasons.  1) The first week is some water weight that the body hangs onto when tehre's not enough water intake.  Drinking so much water each day tends to help flush things out and the effect is greatest at the beginning.
2) I slacked off a bit on water drinking and gained slightly, so I picked that up again.
3) I was constipated!  On this very low cal diet, there just wasn't enough bulk to push things through.  I added Fiber Sure to a drink every day and that has helped a lot.
So I'm down 13 lbs in just over 2 wks!
