I took Bontril several years ago and from what I remember that's what they look like. I didn't have any ill affects from it, I just didn't lose weight. I even changed when I took it, like later in the day since my eating problems were usually after work and it still didn't help. That doesn't mean they won't work for you. At the time I was taking them, I had an undiagnosed hypo-thyroid problem so my body was processing the meds correctly.

The marroon and clear pills are the generic brand for Bontril. Can't remember the name, but ask the pharmacy for "Brand" name and you will get the Bontril which is stronger. The Bontril pills will be green and yellow capsule. I use the generic which work fine for me. When I used the Bontril it worked good, but I was depressed all the time so I switched back to generic. That is about the only side effect that I have had so far. Hope this helps!
