Bariatric w/HCG in or near Rock Hill, SC

by jewelrymaker, Jan 04, 2008 10:26AM
I have found one in Gastonia but that is a little over an hour from me.  Does anyone know of a Dr. closer to me that specializes in the HCG and B12?  I have never tried this and would appreciate any comments or suggestions.  I do have Meners Disease so I have to be careful what I take that might make me dizzy.  I am hoping that once I get the steroid weight off my health will improve.

Thanks for listening and will await your replys.

Do you have an address or does she have a website? phone number?  Is the business listed under her name?  Sorry for all of the questions but I am more interested in this HCG diet than the one I have an appointment for in Ft. Mill, SC on Tues.

Thanks again for your info.

I just called and the first visit is 65.00 which they will let you know what test you will need etc. and if you qualify for the program.  I was told that everything will cost short of $500.00.  That is pretty much what I would pay when I get my yearly physical anyway with blood work etc.  I am scheduled for a consult on Tues. so I can let you know if you would like.

I am not going to the Huntersville doc today because I found a place that is closer.  Try this one http://www.westonmedsurg.com/default.aspx it is near my bead shop too so that is a plus.  They also offer the lipo shot.  Does anyone here have any experience with those?

I have contacted them as well and so far I think they may be the most reasonable prices around.  I think I am going to schedule my appt with them as well.  I don't know anything about any of the injections really...I have just started looking in to them.  I know that it helps burn fat though.  The hcg shot is $10, lipo-B is $15, and the B-12 is $10.  I don't like shots though so I am not sure how I going to do on them.  When is your appt?

I am so sorry that it took so long to get back to you.  Good thing that I bookmarked this site because I totally forgot how to get back to it.  Ok, enough of me being a duffus.

My appointment was today.  I went in and asked 50+ questions.  I had pulled all of the research etc. so I knew exactly what questions to ask.  I like you, do not like shot.  I already go to the acupuncturist for my arthrhitis but that does not hurt.  Shots DO!  I saw the female MD and don't ask me her name because I have already forgotten.  I just remember looking at her name tag to see what her title was and it was MD.  Anyway, she was very helpful.  I explained to her my concerns with being jittery because I do not like that feeling so she gave me Phendimetrazine 35mg.  She indicated that this was not the strongest but also was not the weakest.  I would much rather start off with something and work my way up than to have the shakes and be irratible.  I also asked about the shot.  She indicated that some people do swear by the HCG shot but that there has been NO scientific studies that show it helps you lose weight.  They also have the Lipo and B12 in pill form.  They told me that the shots only lasted about 3-4 days and you had to keep coming in each week/biweekly/or monthly for the shots.  They also give you a rush the first day and fall rapidly after that point where as the pill ease up and stay at the same level for as long as you take them.  I chose this route.  You can get a months supply of the pills for what it cost for just one round of the shots.  I told her that I would try it this way along with the eating instructions she had given me to see how I did.  I can always get the HCG shot next month but I did not want to do an overload on my body.  I am very excited.  I will be starting tomorrow.  Where are you located?  I am below Rock Hill, SC.  I will keep you posted as to how the pills affect me if you would like. By the way, the Lipotropic is just a combination of B complex vitamins.  Same with the injection.  The total cost of my first visit was $179.00 and that was including all of the pills.

Hi,

Good Luck with your weightloss.  I am located in Mount Holly, NC.  I have an appt with the same place on the 24th.  Hopefully, I'll be able to leave work early enough to make it there....we'll see come Monday!  I didn't know they offered the pills for the Lipo-B and B-12.  That is good to hear.  How often do you take the pills?  What kind of diet (food) did they put you on?  I am just so curious....sorry for all the questions:).  Their rates aren't high at all...so that is definately a plus.  Definately keep me updated on your progress and I will do the same once I start.

It is pretty much like the South Beach.  She told me to do the 90/10 ratio.  Look at the food and ask if this is good for me or not?  And treat yourself 10% everyday.

The B-12 is once a day and the Lipo-B twice a day.  I have not tried the appetite suppressent yet because I have had a headache all day and I do not want to antaganize it.  Maybe I will get the nerve up to take one tomorrow.  I use to do speed when I was young and stupid and now anything that has that same type of effect freaks me out so I am hoping that this will be different.  I will keep you updated.  You keep me posted on Monday as well.

I am so excited that tomorrow will be my first appt with Dr. Weston's office.  I can't wait to start.  How are doing on the meds he gave you?  I know you said that you were kind of under the weather on Saturday.  Update me on your success....it is inpiring to hear other's results.

Talk to ya soon.

So far I am down 4 pounds.  It seems like a very slow process but I am waiting for it to just start falling off.  I think that my body went into starvation mode.  I have had more energy and been less hungry though.  I think that this being steroid weight is why is sooooo hard to get off.  I have like reduced my caloric intake almost half.  Dropped the starchy carbs.  That alone has helped with the indigestion.

How about you girl??!!  How did you like the doc and how are you doing so far?  We are going to have to get together after 10 pounds and celebrate.

Keep me posted.

Congrats!

I don't know if I like the doctor yet.  He may have been having a bad day or something but he really didn't ask much about my eating habits, what experience I have had with other diets or weightloss meds or anything.  I was trying to ask questions but he just kept cutting me off and going on with his speech.

His wife brought me in and went over the book.  She said that we don't need to worry about calories.  She was also saying that we could eat FRIED chicken and other fried foods???????  Is this correct?

I haven't weighed myself yet.  I did get the HCG injections but don't think I am going to take them any longer.  I have only taken one so far.  I have been hearing from this forum that they feed tumors and cancer cells.  I do have abnormal cells in my cervix so I definately don't want to feed them if this is true.  I am checking with my OBGYN first before I consider continuing.  I'd rather be fat and cancer free rather than skinny and have cancer.

I will definately keep you updated....please do the same.

I am so sorry that you had a bad experience.  I would have just let him know that I was paying him, not the other way around.  I saw a female doctor and she sat there and listened and answered every question I had.  She did tell me that I might could eat fried food but only so often and in a small portions.  That is could be used as your treat for that day.  I have not eaten any fried food because they said that the body can't tell the difference between flour and sugar so all is processed as sugar.  I have pretty much dropped all of my starchy carbs.  I did not get any shots but was considering the HCG until I read your post.  You ought to go the their website and state your complaints.  You can email me anytime.  Just go to my website and get my mailing address from the contact us page.  www.harmonyjewelrydesign.com

I would be upset if I had been treated as you were!  But I am not a shy person plus being raised by two RN's I demand answers.  If they can't answer my questions then I have no reason to trust them.

You take care and talk to you soon.
