I have finished my 6 week protocol took off a total of 27 lbs. I have been on the strick no starch no sugar for about a week. We had dinner with friends and yes if don't stick with it you will put on pounds I woke up yesterday and had gained over 2 pounds so I did the no food all day and the large steak at night and I lost the pounds and then a couple of 10th. So Dr. Simeon is right you can put the wieght back on quickly if you don't stick to the 3 weeks of stablizing your wieght and helping the body with it's new set point. Good luck to all.
I just found this forum, and I thank you all for all the information. I was wondering if you could send me a email with the information on where to get HCG, water, and needles? I'm totally new to all this and could use the advice. Thank you.
Your testimony is great. I am in my 2nd week of maintenance and I have lost 35+ lbs. I will resume in January after holidays. I've had to complete my steak night as well. Dr. S knew what he was talking about. Keep up the good work. KIT.
well - it's easy for you to say words like that - but in all honesty - are you overweight or obese? do you know what it's like to hear a doctor tell you to "Just eat right and exersize"? Do you know what it's like to have 3 knee surgeries and be in constant pain - but not take pain pills because that's what doctors love to do - because you don't want to be dopped up - but STILL hear a doctor tell you - "you just need to walk and eat right".
And then to know - know for a fact that HCG can help someone lose weight (how do I know this - because I've done Dr.Simeon's Protocol - I lost 34 pounds and 4 dress sizes and feel wonderful and will do another round again)
Do you know what it's like to go to your doctor - explain the protocol - and be REJECTED help from you doctor? "I'm sorry I can't help you" - Even though I agreed to the tests - doctors in the USA seem to only want to help themselves - charge and arm and leg and make sure THEY come out on top.
If you don't recommend anyone purchasing it overseas - why don't YOU come up with a solution to the US's obese society and give perscriptions that don't cost an arm and a leg. The price of HCG is not expensive - I'm sorry but I don't want to pay $250 dollars for your signiture - then just to pay $100 for the actual HCG.
Give a solution - otherwise your OPINION isn't wanted when there isn't a solution to go with it.
Heyy give Dr. Gonzo a break. He's been very helpful on this discussion group, if you'll read back over some of this loooong list of comments. While he may not be obese (we don't know, maybe he is), he certainly does care about overweight/obese people and wants us to be healthy while we try to get out weight down. If you go to the right doctor you can get help for your problems.
I couldn't get my personal doctor to listen to my complaints of hip pain and stiffness, so I went straight to an orthopedist, paid him out of pocket. Come to find out I have SEVERE osteoarthritis, and if I had waited much longer, I might not be walking at all. I need both hip joints replaced surgically. I can't wait to show my doctor the x-ray. I know that losing this weight will make it much easier for me and for the surgeon.
There are doctors EVERYWHERE now that are administering HCG and doing it correctly, though maybe not Dr. Simeon's "protocol". My story's already here somewhere up in the list, and I've made similar comments. I wouldn't do this without a doctor's guidance and monitoring. No way I would inject anything into my body without medical clearance.
You owe Dr. Gonzo an apology. You were out of line jumping on him that way.
No problem. You are only reflecting the frustrations that exists in today's "Sick Care" world where we (providers) wait until people become sick before we try to take care of them and then, we (providers) have 10 minutes to meet the demands of the patient, be perfect, fit under the insurance companies restrictions, throw pills at people and expect all this to work. Patients expect me to fix their problems in one sitting. Insurance won't pay to have me see patients for an hour and offer real solutions to problems BEFORE they occur (such as obesity, high cholesterol, Hypothyroid, high blood pressure, heart disease, etc.).
I do ask for a bit more credit than your statement:
Doctors in the USA seem to only want to help themselves - charge and arm and leg and make sure THEY come out on top.
That is just not true. The majority of my collegues work hard to come up with solutions for you and your family. "Eat right and exercise" is never something I say to people who come to me to lose weight and I don't think I said it in the note I wrote. I lecture on how that is stupid (I use better words) and how overcoming weight loss resistance requires a multifactor and individual approach. If you want to put your health at risk by purchasing injectible medications via internet that is your choice. I am not taking that choice away, I am telling you from my professional opinion from someone who takes care of people who have made that mistake. It is dangerous and I have seen the problems of doing such. Now the choice to do it is yours from a more informed position. This is the MedHelp thread and when you write on this thread, you are asking for my professional opinion.
I am working very hard to come up with a solution. Did you know that on the hCG label it specifically states "NOT to be used for weight loss?" There is no reported bad side effects to go along with that statement because....there are none to report! Ever. For over 50 years. However, since it states that and a physician decides to give hCG to the patient and they develop a rash or worse a cancer that is totally unrelated to the protocol, what do you think would happen? My guess by your note, you would probably sue. That is a great deal of negative pressure placed on the physician.
Now with that risk and with NO Malpractice insurance who will cover me for hCG treatments? I am doing hCG protocol for patients. And I am trying to find ways to improve the results and be more patient friendly. I believe I am trying to find a solution for you and anyone else who comes to my clinic. hCG is not the answer for everyone. There needs to be a physician directed approach to ensure it is the right approach. And to expect your family physician to spend the time to figure all this out knowing insurance won't pay and the patient won't pay either, and then not be able to have malpractice cover this, I ask you, what is your solution for this physician?
My answer is physicians like me who will try to find the answers, take the risk and pass on the solutions. I have taught other physicians to do the protocol. I can't do it all in one career or lifetime, but I will do it one physician and one patient at a time.
I commented earlier on this - but did not get any clear answers...
I want to know what possibly could go wrong if I go forward with the HcG injections in my case, as I am hypothyroid (Hashimoto's Thyroiditis) ? What is the worst case scenario ? What is likely to happen ? I know I am desperate to lose weight, and am willing to take risks to make this happen. I will be purchasing this over the internet and doing it myself, as there are no alternatives (no doctors near me do it, none want to hear about it, and why should I pay $ 200 a visit to be injected, when I can pay one time $ 200.00 for everything and do it myself ! When someone has struggled with their weight for many years, you WILL go to great lengths to lose weight (I am included in this). I am more than a little surprised that NO ONE out there has mentioned that they too are hypothyroid (and how their experience with HcG has been going) ??? I mean, Hypothyroidism is one of the most prevalent conditions in our society now (especially in the overweight population) and if this is the case, how come no one on this board can share their experience so the rest of us can feel more comfortable in knowing you lived to tell about it !! PLEASE ANYONE OUT THERE WHO HAS TAKEN HcG with HASHIMOTO'S or HYPOTHYROIDISM, PLEASE TELL ME ABOUT IT. Do you have to stop taking synthroid (or can you just keep taking it, since its something your body would be producing anyways) just as HcG is not that 'foreign' a substance, as your body naturally produces it when pregnant (so its not like you're injecting plutonium into yourself - its something you create anyways)....so help me out here people, thanks.
You will not like this answer. But I do want to encourage you. There are 2 reasons why no one is answering your question. 1. There are no real studies concerning your situation. 2. For a provider to give you specific recommendations without seeing you and your blood test results is absolutely wrong. To tell you what is likely to happen without knowing your lab numbers, your situation, heck your age for that matter is just plain wrong, some would say malpractice if not at least unethical. You can get individual's anectodal stories but that is about it.
I know your sense of urgency because almost evceryone of my hCG patients express their feelings exactly like you. Your condition may include other issues that may need to be addressed.
I am sorry because I know you are so frustrated. The bottom line, if you go through with hCG on your own, ensure you see your physician to go over all your medical issues, get basic lab tests done before you start and if you do not feel right during your hCG treatments, go to your doctor immediately.
And no one should charge $200 to get each injection. I teach my patients how to do it themselves, like I would a diabetic who does their own injections.
What have you found to be typical results once a patient stops taking the HCG shots, but continues with a proper diet and exercise? I have recently stopped taking the shots after a 5 month stint of once a week. What should I expect? Any information would be appreciated. Thanks!

I have found a variety of responses. And it depends on how the person's metabolism has changed during their treatment. Most of my patients tend to stick with their behavioral changes and improved diet habits. Sticking with a consistent high protein breakfast, smaller portions for meals and consistent healthy snacking and no late meals you can pretty much maintain the weight you lost and even continue to lose more weight at a slower pace, depneding on your exercise habits.
This is all assuming you have a healthy gut and endocrine system.
I have had 2 patients over the past few months who gained their weight back but each of them told me they went right back to their bad habits.
The key is to keep the good habits you have learned and not have too many drastic changes made in a short period of time. Gradual changes that fit your lifestyle is the key. I hope you are doing well and stay positive!
Thanks so much for your input! I have lost 56 pounds in the last six months and I feel terrific! I've been exercising and eating well the entire time and know that I will NEVER go back to my old ways. Why would I ever want to be 205 lbs. on a 5'1" frame again!!
Totally disgusting to see myself in pictures from the past.
This journey has been so worth it, and I'll have to say, it's not been hard.. yes.. dedication and making myself a priority were changes I made as well. I feel very secure in being able to maintain.
I'm still working towards my goal of losing a total of 75 pounds. And since I stopped the shots 2 weeks ago, I'm still losing. So hopefully what you've observed as a professional will be true for me! Thank you for your vote of confidence!

i started the hcg shots and phen on December 12th...the phen is wonderful for suppressing my appetite...i forgot to take my messurements is it too late??...my first week i lost 9.0 lbs yippeee... this week nothing...ugggg...i did not splurg during the holiday's no cake or pie..is this normal should i be patient until my weigh in next friday? I also started my cycle does anyone know if that effects your weight loss? i know they told me it would effect my cycle. Does the weight count as cumlative? I am so excited about everyone elses progress and help! I am excited about the 9.0lbs. I have been at the same weight stuck and it moved. I can kinda tell my stomach is strinking and with my cycle i don't seem to have the bloating i normally have. Not moody, sleepy or any of that. Actually i have alot of energy. my start weight was 237.5 my weight as of Dec 21st and holding is
I am sorry did not finish. ooops!...i want to loose @90 to 100lbs..i am currently talking 1 shot per week. the doctor go to says after the first 4 weeks i can opt for 2 shots per week. and the dosage is 35 units...i really want more if that will help me too loose more and quicker...i am in North Carolina. Is there anyone aware of any clinic in north carolina that gives larger dosages? since i have seen some of you are taking 100 units and more. it kinda seems like my little 35units is nothing, but its working... glad to have joined..any pointer's? i am on a 600 calorie high potein diet, low carbs started cardio and walking....thanks. :)
Hi there! I go to a clinic in Salisbury NC, is that near you? We take 35 units twice a week, and I'm doing great. We don't count calories, just watch carbs and eat plenty of protein. We were told (and which I've always believed) that you have to EAT to lose weight. Your body needs fuel to keep your metabolism going. If you reduce your calories too low, your body will think it's starving, and it will hold onto every calorie you eat and store it in those fat cells. You're welcome to join us on "Any folks out there with Dr. Holmes..." - thread was started on 12/01.
You're doing great! Yes, your cycle will affect your weight loss, but it will only be temporary. Your weight loss is cumulative, like if you lose 9 then next week gain 2, that makes your net loss 7 pounds. but don't worry, you'll take it off again, and it will add up!! I had 100 to lose too when I started, but I've lost 25! :-D
Dr Gonzo,
I appriciate all your input. thanks for putting yourself out there. I myself wanted to lose around 15 lbs back in Oct '07. Came across the info and did use HCG. I was 5'5" 135..not obese or even fat but unhappy w/fat pockets after 3 preg/births. After one 43 day and 1 23 day cycle, I am now 118 lbs! I have no more back fat (which I wanted lipo for) and I have felt great the whole time. I followed Simeon's protocol to a tee. Since then, both my sisters, mom, husband and brother in law have done the protocol w/ great success. My OB/GYN was open enough to listen and follow my care. I have been in the med field for over 10yrs and now my OB/friend wants to open a small practice to help change peoples lives. This is my question...does malpractice (his) cover him/me for this if we Incorp? What dangers/risk do I/we face? Anything to watch out for of the top of your head? Thanks for any advise...I know it's not a sub for a lawyer.

Dr Moody in Draper does it and they send you home with 40 days worth I believe. Go to his website: www.biorestoration.com
I'm going the first of June! Good luck!
I AM THINKING OF STARTING THE HCG. WE DO HAVE A CLINIC HERE THAT GIVES THE SHOTS, THOUGH I HAVE NOT WENT TO ASK THESE QUESTIONS. SO HERE IS MY INFO, ABOUT 12 YEARS AGO I HAD STARTED GAINING A LARGE AMOUNT OF WEIGHT AFTER GOING TO MULTIPLE DOCTORS ONE FOUND A TUMOR ON MY THYROID WHICH I HAD TO HAVE 1/2 TAKEN OUT. THE DOCTORS WOULD NOT PUT ME ON THYROID MEDICINE DUE TO SEVERAL DARK SPOTS ON WHAT I HAD LEFT OF MY THYROID. THEY SAID THAT TUMORS LOVE THE MEDICINE AND IT MAKES THEM GROW. BUT I DID NOT START LOSING WEIGHT SO THE DOCTORS STARTED RUNNING MORE AND MORE TEST THEY SHOT METAL DYE IN MY HEAD AND DID A MRI. I WAS THEN DIAGNOSED WITH A MICRO ATOMIC TUMOR ON MY PITUITARY GLAND THAT WAS PRODUCING HIGH LEVELS OF PROLACTIN WHICH AT THAT TIME I WAS PUT ON BROMOCRIPTINE 2.5 MGS 3 TIMES PER DAY WHICH WITH TIME AND EXERCISE I LOST ALL THE WEIGHT THOUGH I WAS STILL HEAVY IN MY HIPS AND THIGHS. TIMES GOT VERY TOUGH AND I HAD TO STOP MY MEDICINE I STARTED GAINING MY WEIGHT BACK ABOUT 4 YEARS AGO AND I GAINED ABOUT 100LBS TIMES STARED GETTING BETTER AND ABOUT 2 MONTHS AGO I STARTED WEIGHT WATCHERS I HAVE LOST A LITTLE OVER 20LBS AND ABOUT 2 1/2 WEEKS AGO I STARTED MY PILLS AGAIN. MY QUESTION IS THAT I WOULD LIKE TO ADD THIS TO WHAT I AM AM TAKING AND DOING ALONG WITH MY EXERCISE TO TAKE CARE OF THE EXCESS WEIGHT ON MY HIPS AND THIGHS. DO YOU SEE ANY PROBLEM WITH THIS? THANKS
I just wanted to post that I also had very good results with hcg injections over 20 years ago ! I kept the weight off for several years but did go back to some bad old ways and was never a person who liked exercise
now Ihave lost over 30 kgs again thru doing weight watchers but as its painfully slow am wondering if any of the medicos on here know if hcg is available in australia? the course of hcg I had all those years ago was here in australia (melbourne) but I now live in sydney.
will do a google search to check but would appreciate any advice
also is there any info on taking hcg post menopause?
further to my post above - I have a gp friend who once told me that hcg was a placebo? I know it worked for me but I was taking duromine and chlotride at the same time so can you tell me how hcg actually works on the body?
this question is about 20 years overdue but the technicallities would be of interest
I am a 23 and have been fit all my life, however, in the last 3 years I have gained an abnormal amount of weight. I am 5'9 and weigh 175lbs. Now I know that this may not seem over weight to many, however my most recent BMI turned out to be 32! Only 3 years ago I was at 19! I dont have any thyroid problems, all my blood work comes back great, I was diagniosed with fibro when I was 20. I have been reading up on doing hCG injections and I have changed my eating habits, mostly organic and original foods...no additives or enriched products. I try and work out, it is hard I a=have a stressful job and it is exhausting so I do light exercise as to not overwhlem my body. I havent erally lost any weight but I feel better, wondering if this might be something I should consider?? Obviously you are not my doctor and I am not even sure which of my doctors I should talk to about a program such as this, but any added input would be great. Thanks so much for you time.

HELLO, I AM IN RALEIGH, NORTH CAROLINA AND I HAVE BEEN VERY INTERESTED IN HCG INJECTIONS FOR ABOUT 8 MONTHS NOW. I WAS TAKING B12 INJECTIONS THROUGH A WEIGHT LOSS PROGRAM UNDER A DOCTORS CARE AND SUCESSFULLY LOST 30 POUNDS AND NOW STUCK. I WANT TO LOOSE 100 TOTAL. FINANCIALLY, I HAD TO STOP THE INJECTIONS. HELP!!!!! I AM IN NEED OF THE HCG INJECTIONS. WHERE ARE THEY AVAILABLE IN NORTH CAROLINA WITHOUT THE HASSLE. MY DOCTOR WILL NOT PRESCRIBE NOR GIVE ME ANY. DOCTORS, IS IT SAFE TO DO THE HCG INJECTIONS AND THE B12 SHOTS TOGETHER????
Hey I started hcg about 2 months ago. I have lost 35.2 lbs and feel great . I am also taking b12 shots and have never had so much energy. My body is changing shape in all the right places. I would encourage anyone who is holding back not to it works. The place that I was getting the hcg from can no longer distribute it anymore. But I have a doctor that will prescribe it for me. This is the best thing I have ever done for weight loss. Good Luck to all who use it.
I am a diet diva, and have been maintaining weight through watching what I eat. I'm 5'4" and try to stay around 120 lbs. At 120 lbs I'm still not happy with how my legs look, so I usually diet to get down to 115 lbs, but I end up back at 120 within about 3 months of not dieting. Because of my smaller frame I maintain weight at 1200 cal per day, so to lose weight I have to eat around 900 cal a day. Since it takes 3600 cal to lose a lb, it takes me 12 days to lose one lb while eating only 900 cal per day. I spent several months calculating my cal intake and weight to prove where my maintainance levels are, and sure enough, on day 12 I would lose a real lb. (sometimes there would be water fluctuations, but by day 12 the lb lost would seem perminent.) I have been dieting slow like this for 25yrs, and I have years of cal record keeping to prove it. I started taking hCG just to prove it wrong, but I was shocked that it made a difference. At 500 cal per day which is basically what you eat on the diet, I should have been at minus 3600 cal around day 5. (1200-500=700 below my maintainance level), but by day 5 I had lost 3.5lbs. I'm smaller so I have only been losing 0.5lbs per day roughly, but that is way more than I should be. I'm positive there is something to this hCG. By the way I mixed 5000 IU with sublingual B-12 and take 400 IU per day sublingually for 30min (200 IU in the morning and 200 IU at night.) I didn't want to go to the doctor for this, and I don't think injections were right for me to do on my own. I feel completely safe taking hCG, because when I was pregnant I had a lot more than this in my body.
Good luck to everyone. By the way I now weigh 113.5 for the first time in 25yrs, and it has been quick and easy.
I live in Las Vegas, Nevada, I would like to know where I can get ghc. I have read some of the comments. Some of you are getting the ghc by internet and others not. What are the pros and cons?
Body Solutions Rx is located in Colorado Springs, CO and serves people in the US 50 states, regardless of distance. This can be done via phone, email, etc if you are not able to come in to the clinic. This is not an INTERNET place to get the HCG. Body Solutions RX is a very real and reputable clinic that offers the HCG program. I lost 36 pounds on this program !
Is there a pill form of HCG? I am interested, but hate needles and certainly don't want to inject myself. I live in Prince George's County, Maryland would pay to have the injections. Is there a doctor doing this in the DC, Maryland area. I am desperate after trying everything. This would be my last straw. Please help! CC
Hi there,
I don't agrere with you about insurance companies don't pays us enough to stay with a patient for one hour!!!!!!!! For sure that many of you work very hard and study a lot for your passion...but, there's no excuse for a doctor who most of times see your patient for 5 or ten minutes, doesn't even touch his body...and just give him a prescription or a test to be done!!!!!! I know that the technology is in United States, but the compassion, real love or passion for life you see in other countries...when in many cases they give a little extra care for those who need!!!!!!! It's not only about money, is about life and love!!!!!!! About saving lives!!!!!!!! Think about been proud helping people, an extra care...extra time...and all the hard work is worth!!!!!!!!! I'm brazilian, thanks!!!!!!!!!!
Hello everyone. I live in Canada and am not near any clinic that provides these shots as far as I can find anyway... Is their a way to follow the protocol on my own. I see the shots seem to be available online - is there a book or something to follow along with the shots?
Does anyone know much about the sublingual method... does it take alot more hcg? is it as effective?
I am squeamish about needles so the under the tongue method is appealing to me - but I am also cheap (lol) and don't want to spend more on the protocol then I have to (can't afford to either!!).
It takes twice as much hCG subL as the absorption factor is much less than with injections, so you take twice daily. Actually - depending on what diluents you use - it's practically the same cost as injections - hCG will run you $90 for a 45 day supply. (5000IU x 3, HuCog - not Organon) Then you'll need 3 syringes to mix, a few dosing syringes, and a bottle to hold your mix.
Twice as much hCG, but no daily dosing syringes so the costs offset. So far, seems to be about 90% as effective - so you might ONLY lose 20-25 lbs in a month. I just posted a video on YouTube showing my mix, but there are several people with different diluents having good results. Search DELMEM on YouTube. If you click my name on YouTube, it'll take you to my profile page which has my URL with hCG kits - I don't ship to Canada, but you can check the supplies in the kits to get an idea of what you'll want to have.
For subL - total diluent 15ml per 5000 IU hCG - diluent may be subL B12 or distilled water + colloidal silver or high proof alcohol (ie: rum or vodka) typically 10-12ml of the 1st liquid, 3-5ml of the 2nd (colloidal silver & alcohol aid in absorption)
Dosing: 0.5cc (gross yield 166.66IU hCG) held under the tongue for 5-15 minutes approx every 12 hours.
I just heard back from 2 people doing the subL - one down 6 lbs & one down 7.8lbs - on day 2 of the VLCD. Needless to say, they were tickled. Honestly I was somewhat surprised as I thought it'd be a lot less effective than it appears to be.
I would like to add to this subject especially that we patience would probably sue. Man if only I did because my doctor flat out told me he was afraid of the laws that govern the state of Florida that I shouldn't be concerned but he would like me to remove the rest of my thyroid and do RAI. How terrible for such a resolution my life is so bad now and things I didn't have in a year I have - High Blood Pressure, weight gain, confusion, othritis, shingles, MRSA, dental problem and lastly diabetes. All this because a doctor didn't take the time to see what the problem really is. So, I honstly have no forgivness to ****ing doctors or their mantality. You aren't Gods your thieves and ignorante people thinking you know whats best for us. Mind you, I may be wrong about you and to personally attack you is wrong but this is a conscense of the physicians across the board and not just you. Walk my walk I trusted doctors and know my life is pratically finished in every aspect ruined in the name of medicine. I wasn't fixed hear me I was ruined.
I am a type one diabetec and i am interested in trying hcg to get some weight off to get my blood sugar under control. I asked my endocrenologist about doing hcg but she looked at me like i was an alien. I am wondering how this might effect my blood sugars do you know????
i live in west palm beach florida does anyone know of any clinics near me i want to be smart about this and try to be under a doctors care or someone that knows what there doing.
Okay I am about to start my HCG injections and I am so excited, I can't stand myself. I have heard such great things; However, if I start now, I am going to encounter some problems with Thanksgiving. Should I just wait until after Thanksgiving or should I move ahead. I don't want to cheat, but don't know if I will be strong enough to survive. This one day of Thanksgiving could be a set back, right? Please help....I need some advice. I plan on doing this one right this time. Should I wait until after Thanksgiving?
Hi all. Got my hcg in the mail today getting ready to start in the next couple of days - but I have a question ... why do women have to stop taking the shots when they are menstruating? And how do you not become very hungry during the days without shots??
Well if you wait until after T-day then you will be running into Christmas... or are you going to put it off until after then? Remember that you have to stay sugar and starch free for 3-weeks after the VLCD as well! I say start and just be strong. Good Luck!
When it comes on online clinics - they're about as safe as doing it yourself and saving $500-$1000. What level of quality care can you receive from a doctor who never sees you in person? The protocol works just as well if you do it alone as through a clinic, just costs a heck of a lot less. If you do have a medical issue come up while on the protocol they'll just refer you to your primary care physician anyway... so what function do they really serve?
If you've had an annual physical, aren't on any medications & don't have an existing condition you should do just fine. If anything comes up while on it, see your family doctor. Don't really need to pay a "clinic" to give you that advice.
I've heard recently from 2 people who were outright LIED TO by online clinics - the 1st person wasn't losing as much as they wanted & called them - they told her she could double her losses if she ordered $400 in supplements... without supplements you can lose 25-30 lbs in a month, so to suggest supps would allow someone to lose 50-60 lbs in a 30 day period is just wrong. The 2nd person was told that they shouldn't order their hCG from drugdelivery-ca as their hCG is animal based, not the human form... that too is wrong.
For them to be blatantly dishonest that way in an attempt to get your money is reprehensible, and should give one pause as to the quality of care they provide.
You appear to be well informed on the HCG weight loss protocol. When you say you ship the HCG kits--does that mean that you supply both the HCG and the Mixing supplies? What dosage to you recommend.
I was in Florida and went to a Dr there. He referred me to a "friend" who provided me with a 60 day supply of premixed injections. They were expensive, and I was directed to give myself a shot 5 days a week, then off two days. At the end of the first month, I was to wait 2 weeks and then start the second set of injections. The first month went great and I lost 15 pounds. But the second set didn't work the same (I was on an 800 calorie a day diet during the 60 days). From reading materials on line, it appears that once mixed, the injections are only effective for about 30 days--that may explain why the second set didn't work as well--only lost 5 pounds the second month.
I want to do the injections again, so I called the Dr in Florida and he said "I never prescribe HCG, I don't know what you are talking about"? So much for that source.
I found a source drugdelivery.ca that offers HCG in various strengths. Some are listed as coming from India (which scares me too much) and some from Europe (and I guess that depends on where in Europe). One thread said to use HuCog--Not Organon. Can you tell me why?
The only HuCog on this website comes from India and I don't want to order from India. The European supplier offers only Organon.
I have never purchased any type of medication over the internet. I don't want to be stupid, so I am trying to ask the right questions.
Do you supply HCG? Or do you have a suggestion on a supplier of HCG. What strength do you recommend if you do the 5x a week injection? And most important--is it SAFE to buy HCG over the internet from a "pharmacy" in another country? It's just too bad that Doctors in the US don't assist with this. But I guess with Malpractice insurance requirements--most Doctors don't want to go near anything that says "weight loss". Too bad we have turned into such a litigious society--we seem to have shot ourselves in the foot.
Any information you can pass on would be very much appreciated. I live in Hawaii. Lucy

Dr. Caldron has Hcg Diet. I actually did his program and I liked it. It was simple. He did not put me on 500 calories and told me it was dangerous to be on that little calories. He put me on 1000 and I still lost close to 1lb a day/ check him out.

Hi,
I just wanted to let people know that if you are ordering on the internet, please be aware that globalweightlosscure.com is a TOTAL SCAM. I have begun legal proceedings against them, they promise a tracking number, but after you order, you get NO INFORMATION about the company. You will notice on their website there is NO CONTACT INFORMATION, just a form. My credit card was charged and the number given is not a legit number, it DOESN'T EXIST. I know there are legit sites, but this is not one.
If anyone else has been ripped off, please let me know, I am gathering information to give to the state attorney general and to the attorney's that have prosecuted kevin trudeau for his other scams. i hope to get at least some of the money back.
It's a shame, the site looks legit, but it's a total sham!
For me, I've lost 24 pounds in about 4 weeks so far, so it's really working out great. I've been pleasantly surprised how simple the program has been. Here in Seattle, I've been using the Seattle HCG Weight Loss Center, http://www.hcg-seattle.com, 206-402-3063. I'm also pleasantly surprised at the low cost of this program. When I was on other programs, they always had those expensive pre-packaged meals, that were hard to stick with and afford.
Hello, my question is concerning my wife taking hCG with me: She is on birth control (YAZ) and we are wondering if her being on the pill is going to affect her results on HCG. Also, will it cause the birth control not to work? We want to try the hCG, but we don't want any complications or surprises. Please help!
In 2005/2006 I was able to lose 30 lbs by working out 3x a day, an hour each time, and having 100 calories every 2-3 hours. I also had to keep changing what I was doing: swimming, walking, aerobics and times of the day because my body would get used to the exercise and I couldn't get my heart rate up. Since then I've gotten married, got a job, and have had 3 trips to the hospital (2 heart related, 1 colon resection). I've gained almost all of my weight back. I started dieting and exercising December 2008 and you know what- no weight loss. I'm going batty. I'm only 5' and 181 lbs!
I have two concerns: will this affect my heart in a negative way? and will it work?
Has anyone ordered from Body Solutions RX in Colorodo? I did and it has been over 2 weeks and not product yet. I have called and asked to speak to this Lisa person and only get her voicemail? I was told last week that they were in the process of changing pharmacies and my product would arrive on Wednesday. She also promised to email a tracking number. Well it is Thursday and no product and no email with tracking number. Should I go ahead and report them to BBB.
Hey everyone, I started hcg injections 11 days ago, about the sixth day I developed a rash on my body. I assume it is hives, an allergic reaction. The problem is, I feel wonderful. I have lost 14 pounds and do not want to stop. So I started taking benadryl for the rash. Has anyone else experienced this or does anyone have any advice about me continuing on benadryl for the rest of my injections and continuing the diet? Or should I stop? If my skin is having an allergic reaction could other organs in my body be having a slow and damaging allergic reaction that I do not feel yet? If anyone has any input it would be greatly appreciated.
I have an adverse reaction poll running on our Yahoo protocol group - so far 11% of the people who've responded report a rash as a side effect.
The general thought is there are some toxins built up in fatty tissue, with most weight loss programs you lose weight slowly enough you don't notice the release of these toxins from adipose tissue - but with the quick loss on the protocol some people have the response you've described.
Most who've I've spoken with notice a marked reduction or resolution to the rash by week 4, though a few had a mild rash into the stabilization period.
I'm a layperson but would think if other than the rash you're "feeling fine" ( and the scales sure do add to that feeling, don't they ? ) - would think you've got the typical detox rash. Curious if it itched or is just noticable to the eye - and if the benadryl has seemed to help.

Baganda - Did you get your hCG from BS-rx yet ? With increased interest in the protocol some might have trouble keeping up with demand - another possibility - some horses dropping dead at a race track - one of the compounding pharmacies some clinics get their hCG from - recently implicated in a compounding error - (they do meds for vets as well) - so much for their "buy American" scare tactics.
I have asked on two different yahoo group forms the questions about where to buy HCG/Kits from and no one seems to want to answer. Is it something I said or are people really that secretive about this. Please HEPL!!
rad - not at all. I sell kits at a reasonable price, have quite a bit of info and a link to the pharmacy escrow service I use on my site. hcgprotocol com
I don't care if you buy from me or not, but please read through the overview page - a lot of places gloss over the possible side effects. Also, I'm probably most well known for my demonstration videos (mixing, injecting, etc)
DO NOT purchase hCG off the internet from anyone. You must see a physician first before you start this type of protocol.
As far as "hypogycemic," this is a general term that describes multiple possible medical conditions. To answer on a forum without the specific context of the individual's physiology and without looking at lab results, ekgs, medications, etc, it would be inappropriate to give medical advice. In general, the hCG protocol is safe for individuals who have normal pancreas function and a normal endocrine system. You need to see a physician.
Please, do not purchase hCG over the internet without a physician's evaluation first.
In general, the hCG protocol, if followed strictly, will work unless there is an underlying medical condition that is not addressed. Also, hCG has been shown to be very safe over the many years the medication has been around.
Also, it has NOT been banned by the FDA for weight loss use. It is a medication that is used "off-label" like many medications are used daily in medical practices.
I just got done with my hcg diet and I lost about 37 pounds in a month. I live in Seattle and I lost a lot weight and I feel healthier. My wedding is in a couple weeks and my wife is happy to see me in shape. There was a little bit of struggling but I got through it. I do have to say that weight loss can be difficult, however hcg diet centers helped me a lot. Their site is hcgslimxpress.com and the staff is always happy to help. They made sure I stayed on my diet but sometimes I like to try and sneak something unhealthy like garlic bread. If you are thinking about trying this diet I would recommend this company.
I started the hCG Diet on May 1st and have followed Dr.Simeon's manuscript very closely. I have lost 18 pounds so far and hope to lose at least 45-50 by the end of my first 6 weeks. Before I started the diet I took AT LEAST 4 advil a day because I had horrible headaches. Since I started I haven't had to take any and have had NO headaches. It has also improved my asthma and my stomach problems. I am very impressed!!! It is not the easiest thing you can do because you have to be strong willed to only eat what you are supposed to or it will not work. I am doing shots 6 days a week, checking in with the dr. every day and see the dr. once a week. The accountability helps me ALOT!!! Good luck to all!!
Just a word of caution. Do not expect 45 to 50 lbs off. It may be closer to 25 to 35 lbs. There will be plateaus but you will do well. Keep up the good work. It is great you are being followed closely. It ensures improved success.
Curious as to your take on the common headaches the 1st few days of VLCD - do you personally think it's carb withdrawl, from detoxing... or just a side effect of the body coverting into a state of ketosis ?
I generally tell people they can expect to lose 20-30 lbs in 30 days - but after working with someone who was only looking to lose 20 lbs - and someone starting at 450 lbs that lost 52 lbs in 32 days... have come to the conclusion that a pound estimate is not the best estimate to use. Looking over feedback, with very few exceptions - and regardless of which round someone was on - weight loss was 10-15% of post load weight.
Someone in Indianapolis was contemplating bariatric surgery - and the first time I've heard of it - her family doctor actually SUGGESTED she try the hcg protocol & wrote her a script for it... and he was ethical and decent enough to accept her co-pay and send her on her way. The hcg wasn't covered by insurance of course, but is rare to hear of doctors actually doing what is best for their patients... unless there's something in it for them.
Is really sad - most family docs still don't know about it & the patient brings it up - they either refuse OR rather than taking the money for the clinic visit and writing the script - want $1000-$2000 to put them on the protocol. Actually had a physician on a Yahoo group trying to justify charging $1500 - stating he could lose his license for prescribing it for weight loss... which either means he had no qualms lying about that - or he actually DID think he was violating the law, but was willing to do something he incorrectly thought was illegal for a price.
Kind of interesting - I've been able to work with dentists, homeopaths, and physicians.. one retired doc has lost over 30 lbs 3 weeks in, and keeps telling me he wish he'd known about this while he was still practicing... another is 4 days into vlcd - and down 16 lbs. ( starting at 400 lbs I'd told him to prepare for 20 lb+ loss the 1st week, don't think he believed me... he does now ) So excited he hit me up for a few compounding pharmacy contacts so he can offer it at his office.
Excellent. I still am evolving my thought process concerning the hCG protocol. I honestly do not know the reason for the initial headaches seen by some but i suspect it is a combination of each of the things you mentioned. I expected to see more headaches but less than 10% of my patients experience the headaches and the ones that are faithfull to the initial 2 days of increased food intake do not experience the headaches as much. I never give my patients a weight amount to expect. I tell them if they are faithfull they will see the weight come off and feel the improvement in their health. In fact, i tell them (and honestly feel this) that I do not care about the weight at all (they do not like to hear that at first). Rather, I care more about the body fat percentage and how they feel during the protocol process. My patients respond very well to that approach.
You are correct, it is sad that physicians in general do not know about the hCG protocol or even nutrition and weight loss in general. But it truly is a specialty and needs time to learn. Weight loss at the level required for someone contemplating gastric bypass or other bariatric surgery requires a team that includes a physician and nutrition expert along with a follow up support protocol in place.
That $1500 charge I hope was for more than just the protocol. If it included primary care or a team of experts following the patient for a year then that is not unreasonable. But if it was simply for the protocol then that is unjustifiable. Using hCG is off-label and does put the physician at risk for litigation. However, there is a long record of hCG safety and if the appropiate screening is done and close followup is in place, the risk is near zero. I would be more afraid, much more afraid of a gastric bypass (FDA approved) than hCG protocol for weight loss.
I have just finished my first cycle of HCG injections. I've lost 24lbs and I feel great. I would recommend it to anyone that is overweight that wants to lose weight. It is nice to see the results so quickly.. With other weight loss you get discouraged because your not seeing the results fast enough. With this you will see it.
Good Luck to Everyone!!
I want to bring everyone a bit more on track here on this thread. It is great to hear how people are losing weight on the protocol and I know that is what everyone is focused on in this thread. However, I want to impress on everyone reading these posts that though it is great people are losing weight, what I think is more important to hear is whether these individuals feel well, if their overall health, energy, and attitude towards weight management is improved and whether they are able to maintain the weight loss after the protocol is complete.
The hCG protocol is safe to use and allows for weight loss where other programs have failed. More importantly, if done correctly, it helps people apply simple changes in diet to help keep wieght off and lower body fat percentage. There are multiple Very Low Calorie "diets" out there. Most are not good for the metabolism. The hCG protocol is different. This improves overall health. That is the ultimate goal.
I am currently finishing up my 5th week of the protocol and I feel great!
To date I have lost 28.3 lbs with 1 week left to go. I started at 245 and I am down to 216.7.
I think it is important to mention that HCG is not a quick fix it all miracle weight loss injection. If that were the case there would not be a protocol to accompany the injections.
This program requires work, dedication and commitment. It includes a very strict 500 calorie diet to accompany the injections. Not just any 500 calorie diet a very specific diet that includes a minimum of food choices and food group restrictions.
If you are unwilling to make this commitment you will still lose weight on this program the catch is that you will be almost destined to regain the weight.
I am doing this protocol under a Dr. Care and besae on my experience amny people experience symptoms that really should be communicated with a doctor. Headaches, light-headedness, vertigo are the most common. Continued hunger while using the protocol should also be addressed by a dr becaue you should not be hungry at all during the diet.
I highly recommend that obese people utilize the Simeon's protocol rather than ingesting harsh narcotics or undergoing costly and dangerous surgery.
Good luck and great success to everyone who chooses to follow the hcg way of life.
I started on a weight loss program through a clinic 4Wks ago which is taking phentermine and a weekly diet shot which is B12, B6 and adenosine. I lost 12 lbs which I thought was pretty good until, I read about the results from people who are taking the hcg injections. I just wanted to know if the HCG protocal is better than the one I'm on and is losing that much weight that quickly unhealthy?
I am in P1 Cleansing I am researching and preparing on P2. I am nervious about getting the right prescription from the pharmacy and doctors. I noticed there are many name brands. Pregnyl and Novarell, there is Hucog, Lupi, Ovidac,Organon, Uni, Ovitrelle. How does doctor know which is the correct one and how do we know which one Dr.Simeons used in his protocol. It appears some are used for purpose of fertile and other medical disorders. Some have side effects different than others. Why does it come in so many forms if it is all the same HCG?
Everyone is different and weight loss and the rate of weight loss depends on an inidividual's physiology, what medications they are on, what their weight has been like over a period of time. Rates of weight loss and what is appropriate is very individual.
Which protocol is better? It depends on who and how each protocol is being used. I am not a fan of the adenosine diet but it does work for some. I see more people fail the maintenance phase of the adenosine diet. Many gain the weight back fast. The adenosine diet is a whole other discussion. Sefety depends on how each patient is followed by their provider.
generic hCG is a generic molecule that is obtained from human pregnancy urine. It is, of course, a purified form. There are many brands and manufacturers. In theory the medication is all the same. There should be no difference between each legitimate brand. Like many medications individuals may perceive differences in brands. All legitimate manufacturers certified in the US to produce medications for distribution in theory are legitimate.
there is no diference in the hCG used for other medical indications and the one used for the VLC weight loss protocol. The difference is the dose. The protocol uses much less hCG than for it's other indications. If you have other questions concerning the or want more details, call a pharmacist or look up the manufacturer online for more details. hCG is not approved for weight loss. It is used "off-label."
We (husband & I) are brand new, just found out about hCG from a friend who is just starting his second regime of injections. He lost 34# first time around, his wife lost 14# during same time. He has a doctor who gives a script for the inj and will follow up as needed although he says he hasn't done a whole lot of researach on hCG.
We are in our mid-60's, still work full time, hi stress jobs, in fairly good health, and want to lose 20#--me, and 40#--husband. We have read several of these forums and haven't read anything about the possibility of cardiac issues. Husband takes Plavix & Lipitor after having 2 stents in 2001. Do those meds cause any problems? Also, although diabetes runs in both are families, we don't have that issue. (our friend said his count has dropped to less than 100 since the first week of injections.)
We would like to learn more before we start but are excited about what we have learned so far. Apparently a dau-in-law did the under tongue method and lost weight successfully for the first time ever (and she has been on at least a dozen different ones in the past 19 years).
would appreciate your input and answers regarding cardiac issues.
Unfortunately, I cannot really advise you specifically about how it can affect you or your husband because I do not know your specific issues or your general medical conditions and medications. These forums are not appropriate for specific advice concerning medical conditions. You would need to speak to your primary physician concernign how this protocol may impact you specifically.
In general, the hCG protocol does not cause cardiac issues or negatively impact the cardiovascular system in otherwise healthy individuals. In fact can improve certain individual's overall health enough to decrease the risk for developing diabetes or cardiac disease.
I would like to thank you for your comments in this forum. You are the only Dr. that I see staying up with everyone. Which is something you don't have to do. I think your concerns and constant help go way beyond what others are not able or willing to provide. This tell me alot about the type of person you are. I hope you prosper ten folds in your profession.
Several years ago, I was hospitalized for depression and didn't work for over a year.. My depression resolved, but not before I ballooned up from 116 lbs to 196 lbs. I did nothing but go to work (fortunately I wear scrubs) and come home because I was too embarassed to go out or buy clothes. I became essentially "housebound". I did weight watchers, nutrisystem, diet drugs, and any fad diet that was available with little or no success. My blood pressure skyrocketed, I'd get winded just climbing the stairs, and felt generally 'unwell". I went to a bariatric surgeon, and amazingly was not fat enough for a lap band. He did, however, recommend releana. I have just started my 2nd month and have lost a total of 23 lbs.
I feel better physically and emotionally and have become more social and active, This program has affected me more mentally than physically, as I feel I finally have control over what I perceived as my weakness. My only concern is the possibility or probability of decreasing my metabolism to the point where the weight will quickly be gained back. It seems that no one, once they complete the program, continues to add to the forum. What has been your experience?
I want to continue until I lose the weight I need to. However, the cost of my program is prohibitive. Dr G, is there one particular place you're aware of where I can get the releana on line?
One issue that could affect people with cardiac issues is getting deficient in potassium. And Dr. G is right, you should really do this program under physician supervision. If you get deficient in potassium it could cause severe heart trouble. (doesn't happen to everyone, but is a possibility) 500 calorie diets in general can cause people to become deficient in potassium, so it is something to be aware of. Making sure to eat the recommended fruit daily and possibly taking supplementation would help.
I don't know what you're paying for the releana, but I get hcg from gotnd(dot)com for 130 dollars for 5000 IU vial. Plus a one time fee of 160 dollars for medical review by the naturopath. This is for injectible hcg.
Ouch! I go through drug delivery ******* and pay 1/3rd what you are paying. I purchase all my supplies through research supply *******. All canadian pharmacies are also much less than you are paying. I'm sorry, but you are getting scammed. I can go to a local HCG clinic for less than you are paying.
I just re-read your posting. A subtle sales job but you are the scammer. Referring people to your sales site of the same name as your username. Not so smart. Just a scammer.
I do not know any physicians that provide the protocol in your area. My clinic is 1 1/2 hours from there and I see pateints from Harrisburg, Hershey, and Lancaster. If you want you can make an initial phone consult with me. We can provide references from pateints in your area if you would like. Call the clinic at 301-622-2722 to set up an initial 15 minute consult. The references we will provide you are from real people in your area who will tell it to you straight concerning not just the protocol but how they did/are doing after the protocol ended.
I am starting the sublingual method this week. I would like to do the 23 day cycle. How much hcg do I need? I only ordered one vial of 5000 IU. Will this be enough? And I'm very confused about the timing: So... it's 2 days of "gorging" while on the hcg, 21 days of hcg, and then 3 weeks of maintenance? there's just so much information out there and I hear a lot of conflicting info.
And that is why you need to see a physician to see whether this is right for you. You need someone to manage the medications and how to take it and how it affects you. You didn't ask the other questions: "Am I insulin resistant? Who is following whether I am losing muscle mass or body fat percentage and at what ratio am I losing the weight? How can I tell if my metabolism is being affected and how is this specifically improving my overall health?"
These are just a few questions that need a provider's guidance.
I took a round of HCG a little over a year ago. I have tried every diet and do not lose easily, though I follow a healthy diet, do not overeat as a rule, and work out often (3 or more times a week). I lost 17 pounds on the HCG in 23 days. During the last year, without really noticing until a couple of months ago, I have stacked on 20 pounds. I have never gained this much weight in my life. I have been under a great deal of stress. I just wondered if other people have gained like that after HCG, while not overeating? Perhaps it is high cortisol levels instead of any effects of HCG. Can anyone shed light and would it be prudent to do the HCG diet again? I will make sure to weight daily after the three week period, if I do it again!
I live in KC, and I'm currently on Day 7 on hcg injections. I went to a reputable clinic with whom I had an established relationship. The doctor examined me, questioned me, and drew lab: cholesterol panel, CBC, full chemistry, estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, thyroid, and performed an EKG all of which were normal. So he started me on the 42 day plan on hcg injections at a nice healthy fee of $1000. I know it was steep, but I was afraid of internet scams, and I was desperate to get started.
Although his paperwork had similar jargon, he deviates significantly from the original Simeon protocol. He didn't recommend the 2 day gorge, free with veggie selection, all artificial sweeteners are okay, and he wants me to eat 100 grams of protein daily to prevent muscle wasting!
I have lost 8.2 pounds, but I pretty much restrict myself to the outlined Simeon protocol. I plan to continue what I have been doing, but I know I will need another round. Since my trust is diminshed, I don't know if I should find another clinic, or just grin and nod, get the hcg from him and do what I've been doing. I'm not comfortable with the rules of maintence! I also don't want a new clinic requiring new blood work and increasing my financial commitment.
I also am thinking about sublingual hcg, but I'm still reading. Any thoughts? Regular hcg diluted for sublingual use or homeopathic hcg??
I am completely alone in this. I haven't told anyone about it since I have been a career dieter for 25 years...I just can't deal with another public display of diet failures! I want to be successful before divulging what I did to reach and stay at my goal weight.
Unfortunately, I cannot give specific advice concerning anyone's health over a general forum such as MEDHELP. It is not fair at all to the patient nor is it a safe way to give specific medical advice. I do not have access to records, information such as age, medications, medical history, etc that is needed to provide good advice. As important, if not more, the provider is not able to speak and get direct and immediate responses/feedback from that individual over this type of forum as you would in person or on the phone. Even over-the-phone medical advice in general is not prudent.
This is a forum for general guidance and advice and shared general information. If you have specific questions, they must be directed to your provider.
Age, lifestyle, stressors, medications, underlying metabolic physiology must all be reviewed in order to answer your question. In general, an otherwise healthy individual who follows the hCG protocol in it's strictest sense and follows a prudent transition to a healthy diet should not have rapid weight gain issues after the protocol has been completed.
Not a scammer, just someone that has done this diet and would like to help others. Yes my husband is a doctor and his website is the same as my username. But I don't tell other people about hcg to get them to buy from him. I offer his services if people can't find it for better or cheaper in their area. Because I think it should be more widely available, not because I want to make money.
I offer my advice for free on this forum. If anyone wants to take it, that is up to them. I have experience with this diet because I used it personally, my family members have used it, and my husband has used it in his clinic to help patients.
You are the kind of person that makes me want to advertise my website. Because I can help you for less money and I trust that my husband knows what he is doing with the diet protocol. It is so frustrating!
OK, that is enough ranting, now for a little advice, if you want it...
Since you have already paid your doc's (steep) fee, if the hcg is a reasonable price keep getting it there. (We charge $120 for a 5000 IU vial - not the cheapest, but not the most expensive, either. also, it comes from a us pharmacy which I like for the safety aspect)
I don't blame you for not wanting to go through all the intial fees for another place if you can help it.
Then, use the Simeon's protocol or even "gasp" read the kevin trudeau book. He adds a bunch of stuff you don't need, but has a basic grasp of the Simeon's protocol - so if you can't find the simeon's protocol, the KT book is readily available at most public libraries.(I personally don't like to recommend this book, but the info is in there)
Hang in there, Simeons really did know what he was talking about! However, in his day, they were using pregnant women's pee as an enema instead of the way we use the hcg now. (i know, gross, right?) So it is up to you and your doctor for the delivery method. We use subcutaneous shots of 150 IU hcg (in the stomach area) for six days on and one day off. We mostly follow the simeons protocol but have made a few dietary changes (like letting people have three veggies - from the approved list of course- at a meal). We also add a protein shake as a supplement to help balance blood sugar throughout the day and mct oil to help with ketosis and constipation.
I have heard that Releana (the oral version) is safe and effective, but have not tried it myself. Some people use IM shots in the thigh. There is even a topical gel out there that some people are using. (also, haven't tried that one) I haven't heard good things about the nasal spray, but it is another option.
I would also try talking to your doctor about your concerns. If he/she is a good doctor, they will take the time to help you understand their protocol and why they think it is the best way to go and answer any questions you might have. I know there are good doctors out there, because my husband is one of them. He talks to people for hours sometimes, because he wants them to know what they are doing with this protocol so they can succeed.
And you don't have to be completely alone. There are many forums and groups out there that you can join and ask questions. Not everyone is a doctor and so can't give you medical advice, but they can tell you what worked for them and you can decide from there if you want to try what they did. (There was one in yahoo groups that I really liked the moderator on, but I forget the name of the group) Watch Dr gonzo's postings on this forum - he seems to know what he is talking about.
I have been on the program for 5 weeks. I have lost no weight whatsoever, however, I have lost inches. I am following the food plan and sticking to the diet. I have not had a period since taking this product, and my back has gone out twice. My chiropractor asked recently if there had been any chemical changes in my body... this is all I can think of. I have not met anyone who has had these results. My friends, who go to the same clinic, have all lost weight and feel great! I'd like some answers. I read the post.. looks like I am an exception to the success of this program?
I just found this forum, and I thank you all for all the information. I was wondering if you could send me a email with the information on where to get HCG, water, and needles? I'm totally new to all this and could use the advice. Thank you.

Just a few words to ALL.
I hope that helped.

Please take care and be Well!!

I'm going the first of June! Good luck!
I just wanted to post that I also had very good results with hcg injections over 20 years ago ! I kept the weight off for several years but did go back to some bad old ways and was never a person who liked exercise
now Ihave lost over 30 kgs again thru doing weight watchers but as its painfully slow am wondering if any of the medicos on here know if hcg is available in australia? the course of hcg I had all those years ago was here in australia (melbourne) but I now live in sydney.
will do a google search to check but would appreciate any advice
also is there any info on taking hcg post menopause?
thanks in advance
further to my post above - I have a gp friend who once told me that hcg was a placebo? I know it worked for me but I was taking duromine and chlotride at the same time so can you tell me how hcg actually works on the body?
this question is about 20 years overdue but the technicallities would be of interest
thanks again

Good luck to everyone. By the way I now weigh 113.5 for the first time in 25yrs, and it has been quick and easy.
I am squeamish about needles so the under the tongue method is appealing to me - but I am also cheap (lol) and don't want to spend more on the protocol then I have to (can't afford to either!!).
Lucy

I have two concerns: will this affect my heart in a negative way? and will it work?
Please answer. Thank you.
***********
Baganda - Did you get your hCG from BS-rx yet ? With increased interest in the protocol some might have trouble keeping up with demand - another possibility - some horses dropping dead at a race track - one of the compounding pharmacies some clinics get their hCG from - recently implicated in a compounding error - (they do meds for vets as well) - so much for their "buy American" scare tactics.
I don't care if you buy from me or not, but please read through the overview page - a lot of places gloss over the possible side effects. Also, I'm probably most well known for my demonstration videos (mixing, injecting, etc)

Glad to see you hitting the boards again !
Tim
--DrG
I am concerned about the some of these HCG clinics.
Good Luck to Everyone!!
Which protocol is better? It depends on who and how each protocol is being used. I am not a fan of the adenosine diet but it does work for some. I see more people fail the maintenance phase of the adenosine diet. Many gain the weight back fast. The adenosine diet is a whole other discussion. Sefety depends on how each patient is followed by their provider.
there is no diference in the hCG used for other medical indications and the one used for the VLC weight loss protocol. The difference is the dose. The protocol uses much less hCG than for it's other indications. If you have other questions concerning the or want more details, call a pharmacist or look up the manufacturer online for more details. hCG is not approved for weight loss. It is used "off-label."
In general, the hCG protocol does not cause cardiac issues or negatively impact the cardiovascular system in otherwise healthy individuals. In fact can improve certain individual's overall health enough to decrease the risk for developing diabetes or cardiac disease.
DrG
I feel better physically and emotionally and have become more social and active, This program has affected me more mentally than physically, as I feel I finally have control over what I perceived as my weakness. My only concern is the possibility or probability of decreasing my metabolism to the point where the weight will quickly be gained back. It seems that no one, once they complete the program, continues to add to the forum. What has been your experience?
I want to continue until I lose the weight I need to. However, the cost of my program is prohibitive. Dr G, is there one particular place you're aware of where I can get the releana on line?
I don't know what you're paying for the releana, but I get hcg from gotnd(dot)com for 130 dollars for 5000 IU vial. Plus a one time fee of 160 dollars for medical review by the naturopath. This is for injectible hcg.
Good luck!
DrG
These are just a few questions that need a provider's guidance.
I would love anyone's suggestion...I'm watching.
This is a forum for general guidance and advice and shared general information. If you have specific questions, they must be directed to your provider.
I offer my advice for free on this forum. If anyone wants to take it, that is up to them. I have experience with this diet because I used it personally, my family members have used it, and my husband has used it in his clinic to help patients.
