Does metformin made a diabetic lost weight?

I had been dianosed with type 2 diabetes a couple of years ago and when I started taking metformin three times a day I lost weight.  I was 128 lbs but within a year I went down to 106 and now 102 lbs.

I would like to know if it was metformin that made me lost weight.  I don't want to lost weight.
