Hello everybody!!  I am so excited this morning.  I weighed in (after skipping weigh in this past weekend) and I'm down another 3.5lbs.  That's 13.5lbs in 8 days of vcld AND the dreaded monthly curse...lol.

ub:  I normally do exactly like you do.  Have you been drinking any Yerba Mate' tea??  I think that may be the reason that I didn't bloat like I normally do with my period.  I don't know, it's just a guess.

jenniferjo5:  I asked Brock at NHW the same question.  She said that unlimited black coffee is fine.  We just can't have soft drinks.  Evidently, a lot of people were drinking them instead of the coffee.  Keep enjoying your black coffee--next to water, it has become my beverage of choice...lol

Glad to know we can have coffee.  It's hard for me to start the day without a few cups, but then I want iced tea.  That should be OK, right?Unsweetened, of course, but with lemon.

I'm still trying to figure out what I can eat on a vegetarian diet.  If anyone hears anything, please let me know.  I spent hours yesterday on the web trying to find some info, but not much luck.  My hcg will be here soon and I want to be sure I'm doing everything right.

You could sweeten your tea with stevia along with the lemon (that is, if you even want your tea sweetened).  That's what I use.  If you buy the liquid, just use about 5 or 6 drops or it'll make your food or drinks bitter.  And if you buy the packets, just use 1/2pkt at a time.  I wish I knew what to tell about the vegetarian aspect but I'm absolutely clueless.  Sorry.  Good luck with everything.

well up 4/10 of a pound this morning.  considering the approaching visitor and all i guess that's not too bad.  it'll probably drop off after she comes. anyway, i hope my supplies get here quickly because after the period of no shots during the period i'm down to only one week supply!!!  i may be going into a holding pattern like larry waiting until the next shipment arrives.  i really thought i'd be farther along after so long on the vlcd but i guess my body doesn't want to give up the ghost (all be it a fat ghost!!)!  anyway, hope everyone has a good day today!

Well, I did it!  Today I gave myself the shot all by myself!! (Hubby helped last 2 days, but he's gone for the week).  So, it is a releif to know I can stick myself...But I feel like I am pushing putty into my leg, it really stings.  I left the shot at room temp for about 25 min, do you think that was long enough?  Most of you seem to think the shot wasn't painful (I think), so what am I doing wrong?  The first day in the rear end hurt a little (that hadn't yet been refrigerated), the second day, other rear cheek, hurt more, and today in the leg hurt the most.  The little pinch from the needle is not what I am talking about, it's the hcg injecting into my body, I can feel it all around the injection area. I am doing IM  1 1/4 inch needles if that makes a difference.  Any advice?

Jennifer, Today is the VLCD day number 1!!!  I made it here!  I am really excited.  Only gained 1 pound on the gorge...maybe because I haven't been dieting at all recently?  I have been having trouble finding some of the organic veggies...guess the season is ending and they are more scarce (I have been eating them all summer).  I was able to buty enough for about 4 days, I weighed out all the meat and put it into baggies to make it easier.  I wanted to cook up a few days worth, but ran out of time.  Plan to just grill on the indoor grill today.  Good Luck, can't wait to see how we do!

Well, I'm up 1.5 lbs today.  It doesn't seem to have done much good for me to lose that 2 lbs yesterday.  This is the second time I've gained the day after I lost more than 1/2 a pound.  The first time was just before my period, so I didn't think much of it.  I don't get this though.

Jennifer: I've been drinking black organic coffee with stevia the whole time (everyday) . . . It hasn't hurt me!!

OK: Phase 3 . . . 1st day I ate org. egg, veggie, cheese, turkey bacon pie .. . had strawberries, apple, grapefruit, . . . eggplant parma with meat sauce . . all organic home made items . . . I gained 3 lbs overnight and did a steak and apple day yesterday (day 2 of phase 3 . . . can you imagine) . . but the steak thing worked and I lost 2 of the 3 lbs I gained!!

So I'm thinking I'm just going to have big salads with my old faithful lemon, basil, garlic chicken & fish and fruit and keep it simple for a while . . . I guess I don't do well with the cheese?? . . . I was looking forward to eating but after that 3 lbs gain overnight . . . I'm over it . . . . I can't go back to that . . .  I've noticed I was achy in the morning like I use to be pre-hcg and my stomach was all distended . . . NO WAY I'M GOING BACK TO THAT!!!! . . . so wish me luck on this new phase and that I can find my way with out regression!!!

Have a great day all!!

M: do an apple day, it works and you'll feel better!!

To: mommyiam, anyone
How is it going? I am starving! But I have heard the hunger only lasts a few days. I am glad that you can give your own shot now. Who are you going through for your hcg? I am going through Native Healing Ways and in their literature, they have a drawing with several different places you can give the shot. I have been doing mine under my bellybutton. It hasn't hurt much yet. Also, on 2 of the 3 shots so far, I just took the shot out of the fridge, rubbed it in my hands for a minute, and then injected. So, I don't think the shot would be to cold for you if it has only been refrigerated.
I gained half a pound on the gorge. I had trouble gorging, too! I just couldn't think of what I wanted, so I made sure to at least made what I ate had plently of fat and calories!

Do you think it will make much difference if all of my food is not organic? The closest organic store is 2 hours away. I have to have someone go with me that far because I have a 6 month old who hates to ride unless I am in the backseat with him! If anyone has figured out how to drive from the backseat, I would be VERY interested in knowing how! So, I can only buy enough organic veggies for a little while.

I may not be much consolation or have the right advice to you. You said intolerance to fruit.
That is interesting.  Did you get your HCG from NHW or GHI?  Did you discuss or counsel
with them prior to paying for the product?  The reason I ask these is because both health facilities counsel their newcomers thoroughly prior to starting the program letting you know what you must
eat to allow this diet to work.  This vlcd (Very Low Calorie Diet) has a choice of three fruits as a part of the lunch and dinner on this diet.  Most people who begin it read or research or know before-hand what they can eat on this diet.  I would not know how to answer you.  If you do not eat the fruit, you may have a problem in not getting enough fiber, and it may affect your regularity.

I would suggest that you ask this question on the thread in here where Dr. Gonza posts.  You may not like the answer you get from a health professional, but I would say if you do not follow the diet as it is given, you will not get very good results.  If it were me, and if I was not alergic (allergic) to any of those three foods, I would eat the apple twice daily as it calls for.  This diet is SO easy for me because I really like all the foods suggested.  I am really "into" apples and know how nutritious they are for you.  Try to like an apple.  It is good for you and your immune system.

Good luck.

Hello - I am waiting for the books to arrive by mail- and want to know
where is the best online place to order hcg, or anywhere in Utah?
Any pointers on the diet- or a condensed version run down- I am so
excited to have the book but would love an idea of how this all works.I had a baby-2 weeks old today- baby # 6- I started a little higher with this one- and shot clear up to 190- now I only need to lose about 75 pounds.Last year I did a diet through a clinic here that was hcg mixed with b12- and a RX for phentermine?_ and it worked ok.I lost about 35 pounds in 3 months- lots of protein.I just felt for the $ it wasn't enough- an with 6 kids it was a pain to go to the clinic very week for shots. My 14 year old gives me shots at home- and I also just got done doing 3 months of 7 shots a day for diabetes-- so I am braver now about doing my own shooting. My email is shopper_cjo***@**** if anyone has any great ideas or help.I am desperate- I am only 5 ft- so I feel really round right now.

Hi all.  Yesterday was my last shot and I'm down 22lbs in 23 injections.  I'm following Simeons' instructions to continue the vlcd for three days after last injection.  This is the hardest part for me, so close to the end!

Lindaloo:  Do you think you needed another vlcd day after shots?? However it is possible to gain in phase 3 even when all the hCG is out of your body.  Don't get discouraged!  You had some of the best results I've heard of!!!!

Eruaistaniel:  I put on one pound the day I ovulated, and the day I started my period.  Are you near ovulation?  I always put on weight near ovulation anyway.

Mommyiam:   I've been giving them in my thigh and I feel the fluid going in too.  It does hurt a little.  Maybe it's just different from person to person.  I was afraid not to keep mine refrigerated even for a little while.  I was told hCG is very unstable at room temperature.

Veggiegal:  That's a tough one, but Simeon's does give some advice for vegetarians.  He says nonfat milk and nonfat cottage cheese are sometime substituted.  (500 cc of milk per day, whatever that is).   Once in  he allowed patients who develop an aversion to meat to use eggs - one whole egg w/ three whites.  I would probable stick to egg whites just to be safe.  I think six whites have the protein of one whole and three whites, but double check just to be safe.  Simeons also mentions that his vegetarian patients lose about half the weight as the non- vegetarians, but at least you know possibly what to expect.  Hope this helps.

well i dropped a pound today which is great because i was the same weight since fri. but its my last 7 days on the diet so im doing an apple day anyway so i can get as skinny as possible before the hcg dries up! I actually really love apple days.. im running around all day anyway and it just makes my life easier!

Loo: I think maybe it was just a little too soon to introduce all those different foods into your system, but  day by day you'll be able to eat more and more like that i promise. I've been on that other hcg support blog checking out all the information about phase 3 and there are ALOT of people who have done phase 3 and 4 with perfect success. they have tips and offer great advise. I'd really reccomend checking out the phase 3 questions section as well as the phase 3 successes section of the forum.

i posted the link somewhere here.. if not here it is: http:// hcg support group dot forumotion dot com /index dot htm
just take out the spaces.. they also have forum moderators or hcg experts sort of to answer questions..

I am only a little hungry...it is 1:30 here (South Texas).  I had tea and water all morning, an apple at about 11 fed my 2 yr old lunch then made mine about 12.  I certainly could eat more, but its not too bad (Yet).  I know what you mean about babies in the back seat...all of my kids (3) were like that, but I think my first was the worst.  We used to live in NC and travel to see family in PA, I would sit in the back with him, I even managed to breast feed while flying down I95 (hubby at the wheel of course).  Is this your only child?  As far as the organic goes, I think we need to try our best, but if its not available, then just substitute with regular veggies.  My local grocery store is carrying lots of organic now, and in the meats, they have organic and a store brand they call "all natural" which doesn't have the antibiotics, hormones, and fed all vegitarian diet.  I am trying that because it is a bit cheaper, but if I am not seeing the results I want, I'll try the organic meat too.

I got hcg from drug delivery, I am doing the IM shots, so belly's not an option.

melcot  Thanks.  I read somewhere that it hurts less at room temp.  Also, Dr S stated it would keep for several days a room temp, but any longer needed refrigerated.  I just don't know.  Maybe I'll try it right out of the frige?

Good Luck All!!!!

Hi sharon,
my weight is 205lbs, I'm 5'5", and my question to you is:
If I do one session (23 days) will it slow my metabolisn down detrimentally unless I continue the hcg shots until I reach my goal of 135lbs? If I do one 23 day treatment and then choose a low-cal way of life, will I have to fight upstream with my metabolism?

And also - everything I read talks about the importance of not cheating in the first 23 days because it affects the resetting of the hypothalmus, and not using medication, and being under a dr's care - so can we harm the body by doing it yourself?

And lastly, if I chose hcg to reach my goal weight, does the hypothalmus continue to reset each 23 day treatment? Would it be advisable to, say, do it once for 23 days (everyday) to see how it works - and them if I'm happy with the results take 3-6weeks off and then start a 42 day treatment (skipping once a week) without  consequences i.e your body builds up a tolerance?

Howdy all !!! Looks like everyone is going great!!

It's day 13 for me and I'm down 17 lbs !! I'm down to 208 (from 225) !!! whoohooo!! I honestly can't believe it. I think it's because I had to move - and have been all week - I've been moving my body more than I ever have.

Some things I'm doing a little different.

I work from 2pm-10pm - so my schedule is a little different. When I wake up at noon I am starving. So, when I wake up I eat my lunch around 12:30 - 1pm before work. Then at 4pm I eat strawberries cause they are soo good. Then at 6pm - I eat my dinner. And if I'm hungry again at 8pm I eat my apple. Lately - I have been which has been weird.

For 2 days - I ate about 1-1.5 ounces of chicken about 30 minutes before bed. On both those days I lost 2.5 pounds. I didn't eat before bed last night and I lost 1.5. So - I'm going to eat protein again before bed tonight and I'll let you all know what my weight is.

I feel better. My hands aren't swollen or ache. My face already looks smaller and one co-worker has even commented on it. One of my bosses who knows I'm on this program said 2 days ago that my clothes look "blousy" :) I like that - I can handle that. They are loser and I'm going to have to buy new ones probably really soon.

Every morning I thank Dr.Simeon in mind for finding this protocol for helping so many people that just didn't understand why they couldn't lose weight. They I thank God/Universe for Dr.Simeon finding this cure.

If your reading this - and your wondering if HCG works - Me - and several others here are proof positive !! Don't give up hope! This does work.

Keep up the great losses guys - we are almost home!!!

Oh, my gosh! I think I know all of you by now because I have been reading....and reading....and reading! lol I stopped at 10/5 because I was going cross-eyed.
I have read KTs book and want to start this diet. Unfortunately, I have to wait until I get the money to purchase all the vitamins/teas. BUT...in the mean time, I am reading as much as I can about it and have found this forum very informative...thank you!
The one question I have is....I have been reading about the injections and the hCG in pill form. Does anyone really know the difference? KT mentions Dr. Brullescio in his book (hcgobesity.com) and, upon checking out his site, found out that he has been using the oral hCG since the 90's. He reports there is no difference in fat loss. I guess I just wanted to hear from someone "real" who may be taking the oral...or know someone who has?? Thanks for all your help....your forum has reached many, many people...not just the ones who leave comments.

I would like to join this thread. For the past month and through all of my research I have come back to this forum to read about all of your successes and it is truly inspiring. Even though I witnessed a relative lose a remarkable amount of weight using the injections, I still had my doubts. But reading the back of forths of all of your postings has made me realize- what do I have to lose...except the weight.
My package came from NHW on friday. I enjoyed my two days of gorging (which pretty much followed a four month gorge-fest sans diet) resulting in no gain  and have just completed my first day of VLCD of 500 calories. Except for a few minor hunger pangs which I account to  just a psychological shift of not being able to  eating a huge meal at end of the day, I feel great! I am so excited to to wake up tomorrow and see my scale. I hope that it can give me some good information and feedback. Thank you all I again and I will be reading and sharing tomorrow.

So, sajogirl...you did not do the 30 day phase 1? How many people skipped it here?
I think larry did it...is still doing parts of it according to what I have read. Did anyone else do the colonics...sauna....rebounding....all that? Just curious as to whether or not it sped things up. Perhaps that is why some of you are having a plateau? Oh...and, did you all stop wearing make up...do you brush your teeth with spring water.....buy the shower head filter? These are all questions that I have... wondering what difference it really makes. THANKS!!

I leave my shot out for a couple of hours before injection time and then try to bring it up to my body temp by warming it in the palm of my hand just before it's injected.  I still feel the stinging of the hcg going in but it only lasts for seconds afterward.  I thought that I was doing something wrong with them but evidently that's just part of taking the shot.  Mine aren't IM, though, so I don't know if my post will help you or not.  But letting it set out to room temp hasn't seemed to hinder it's effects on the weight loss.

welcome aboard!  i think we all wondered the same things you are curious about and only time will answer all of the questions but i'll give it a shot.....i don't think many did all of phase 3 although most of us at least did the candida cleanse, exercise, etc.  i have well water and an awesome filtration system so i didn't do the shower filter (i don't chlorinate my water anyway so no need).  i have RO system for drinking and thru my fridge/ice maker so that's the water i drink.  i do add a few drops of liquimins which is a mineral sup in liquid form to my water though.  with all the fluid you flush my body was getting a little depleated of potassium/mag etc.  it's really helped tons!  i walk on the treadmill and use my eliptical machine about 4 times per week and try to use the rebounder for about 5 min every day.  if you check some of the other sites (even the KT site) they all say the oral is not effective.  having said that, on the other forum M posted some folks are having luck with it.  i use the 1/2" subQ needles and do most of the inj into the tummy.  i have zero burning and only once or twice did i bruise a little bit.  it's the easiest least painful place i've found.  i do wear makeup but i've long since switched to a mineral powder makeup.  i started with bare minerals but found an all organic company i just love love love!  even the blushes look really natural.  it's called evansgarden.com . great site and wonderful products although most are plant based with essential oils so most of the products will have to wait until after the diet.  they have wonderful mineral eye makeup/blush/foundation.  great stuff!  i think that's it and i hope i've answered some of your questions.  if this is right for you you'll know when you know then you'll be a happy loser too!!!  good luck!!
all................well visitor is still absent!  last month a week early, maybe this time she'l be a week late?  anyway still losing a bit anyway.  down 19.6lbs in 35 days vlcd.  i'm plugging along.  i just hope after this time passes it'll drop off fast!  i'm running out of time.  one thing i can advise people about is WAIT until after your visitor is gone to start even if you're really gung-ho.  i didn't wait and ended up with 2 cycles that have probably put me a little behind everyone else.  it's hard enough getting thru one cycle while dieting.  2 is just too hard!!!

the only things i did from phase 1 was switch almost entirely to organic, and i did the 15 colonics. Also i bought the shower filter which i absolutely love! My hair and skin have never looked or felt better. I also started taking most of the recomended vitamins and supplements as well as coral calcium sachets. As far as everything else goes well......... i did about 3 saunas, walked for an hour maybe a handful of times, rarely ate one grapefruit let alone two, and i drank the teas here and there..In short i barely followed phase 1.

I think the most important things to do are the cleanses. i never did any of them.(except for clonics which were amazing and i reccomend doing at least ten to fully clean out our system) It seems the candida cleanses have really helped some people ward off cravings. i wish i had done them because i've had unbareable sugar-carb cravings while on phase 2.

All that being said ive still had alot of success on phase 2 losing 21.5 pounds in 28 days! But yes, i have had platueas, which could be attributed to a lack of cleansing.

pearlznlase:  Like, mresearcher, I did the same steps from Phase 1 that she did with the exception of the vitamins and supplements.  I began walking one hour a day but that lasted for maybe a week and jumping on the rebounder was few and far between.  Still yet, I've lost 13.5lbs in 8 vlcd days.

Wow!  Can't believe it...lost 6lbs on day one of VLCD!  Yippee!!  That is the 1 lb gain from the weekend plus 5 more all gone!!!  Guess with those results, and yeah I know they will slow, I can deal with the sting from the hcg.  I got mine same as UB but I inject IM, so I guess it doesn't matter where the hcg comes from, or how injected most of us experience a sting.  I read on M's other thread where some where mixing for only 0.5 cc injections, maybe something to consider.  They all seemed really happy with that.

Day 40 of phase 1 total loss 33.5lbs.  I've been at this loss since the weekend.
I'm really starting to strugle.  However, Saturday I will be starting injections!  I was rereading

Hey everyone! After my first vlcd day, I lost 2.8 lbs! I was very hungry, but it was worth it. I had been eating Lean Cuisine for a month prior to this and lost nothing!

mommyiam:  are you serious?! 6 lbs! That is awesome!! Ihad to rely on tea, too. Also, I do have only the 1 child. He is my miracle baby. I lost one before him, and had to pray really hard for a long time before I got pregnant again.

Pearlz: I did not do much of phase 1. I started drinking lots of water, was already walking, and I was not on any meds. I don't have chlorinated water, so I didn't get a filter. I already use Bare Minerals makeup. I am sure the vits and other stuff would be beneficial, but I don't have $ for it right now. But, I just started this diet so we will see if it works as well for me. Also, I have read on other forums that the oral form doesn't work as well.

sajo: I am glad that there is yet another person starting at the same time as me. I was very inspired by the people on here, too! That is what made me want to post here. I really appreciate the way they made me feel welcome. I am going through NHW as well, but following the Simeon protocol. How much are you planning to lose. My goal is 30 lbs.

Good luck and God Bless!

By the way, I did my shot IM this morning because I did some research and the leading theory is that it works better that way. You are right about the "stinging" to put it mildly. I thought Hell had moved into my leg. Maybe I did something wrong? There was also a large bead of blood.  Perhaps tomorrow I'll try my arm instead.

WOW!!  You have done SO great!   Proud of you and for you.  Keep it up.

I only started with the Phase 2 with injections, but in a week, I have done well.  I am going to be on this 4 weeks, hoping to lose 20-25 pounds.  Mine are coming off slowly, so will have to see if I lose all that I want to the first round.  The injections have been easier than I had anticipated.  They come easy now.  The only one difficult is the very large Red Load for Friday.  That one really curbs my appetite and helps me, though.  I feel very good most of the time, lighter, very free, and losing the inches.
I noticed that Lindaloo and some others mentioned a day of ALL APPLES when having 3 straight days of no loss at all.  Do you only eat apples and water on that day?

It is great to see everyone is progressing so well.  Keep in touch.

I am certainly no expert, but I read that if there is a bit of blood when you remove the needle, then you passed throw a vein.  Did you read about injections on that other forum that Mresearcher has recommended?  It really has some good info!  And links to show photos too.  Maybe that can help.  Oh, and I have alot more to lose than you...basically a whole other person!  Just haven't been able to lose her yet.  But this time I think I may(with a bit of luck) just be rid of her for good!
Good Luck!!!

Okay, before you all say it, yes I do have a life.  Just today my daughter is taking a longer than normal nap and I have some more time to read about this stuff...that said UB I was reading on another site where they were tweeking the amount of hcg if they slowed to 0.5llbs/day.  They lowered it a bit.  And then magically weight loss increased again to 1 lb/day.  I couldn't remember what IU dose you are doing, but thought maybe it could speed things up?  (the girl I read had been taking GHI shots at 250, then lowered to 225, and then lowered again to 200, which was her lucky number) Good Luck!

Hey, I'm new!  On day 4, lost 6 1/2 lbs.  I'm so excited.  I still have such a long way to go about 150lbs.  Found the shots and 500 cal diet to be much easier than thought.  I was told to give the shots about 3" from belly button.  No pain, no burn!!!  Started with a Dr. and spent lots of $$$$.  Thanks to you guys won't do that again.  Now I know where to go for next round.  I'm looking forward to a new life!!!!! Praise God!!!!!

I usually ovulate between day 11-13 of my cycle, so that sounds like it's where you are.  It's different for every woman.  Simeons mentions in his paper that patients gain a little around ovulation and menstration.  Good luck with everything!

i started at about 187iu but increased to 200.  i think 200 is the max amt according to both dr s and kt.  ghi medical had larry using 250/day but that seems like a lot to me.  that must be what that gal you talked about was using.  so i'm at 200/day.  i think i'm standing still right now because of aunt flo.  hopefully once she passes by (for the second time mind you) things will move.  i feel great and even my boss has noticed the change (he's not know for a complimentary disposition!).  so it's all good.  keep on keepin on!

Has anyone heard that tomatoes are bad for this diet? I was reading some posts on another board and it was mentioned. I really need to know because it is one of my favorites!
Also, how have some of you seasoned pros done the daily veggies. NHW has many more options and allows mixing. However, I wanted to stick to Dr. Simeon's plan. It just seems that in order to reach 500 calories daily, you have to have A LOT of just 2 veggies, since you only get 1 apple, half a grapefruit, and 200 grams of meat. Am I understanding it right? Today, for dinner, I had 100g of grilled chicken (160 cal), 340g of tomato (40cal), and half a grapefruit (53cal) to get 253 total calories. Is that a good meal for this plan?

Wow. it sounds like a group of us have started all at the same time. After my first day of VLCD and 500 calories I lost 3.4 pounds! Today went by pretty effortlessly except for a minor hunger pang late in the afternoon but nothing that I haven't handled in the past before while starving myself on previous diets. With the hunger pangs I would just drink some more water or have some tea. I actually found that right after I ate lunch I had this huge surge of energy and feeling of "well-being" if that doesn't sound cheesy. I noticed because I am a high school teacher and I did not want to scream at my last period of students by the end of the day like I usually do. Trust me- that is a huge improvement!.  However, after looking at the scale today and seeing a real loss (I mean I haven't been 179 pounds in quite a while and when I was it took a lot of pain and effort to get there) I think that that will be motivation enough to not stray- plus- there is no REAL hunger. Its amazing!

pearlznlace- I did not do phase 1 entirely. In fact the only thing I did from phase 1 is drink the teas and I started taking a couple of supplements especially the enzymes and  colon cleansing for digestion. In fact, I think I have had more food in the past month than in quite I while. I think it was that whole "I am going an diet so I need to eat now" mentality. I thought I would regret it but after finding out how truly easy  this diet is with the injections I am glad that I had my fun!

jenniferjo- I am looking to lose about 50 pounds which will put me in the 130's. I have actually never been that small before ( no, really I went from 108 pounds to 160 pounds overnight in middle school) so I will have to gage as I go along whether or not that will be healthy weight for me or if I want to continue. I think I will be excited just to finally lose the ten pounds that I have been losing and gaining over the past two years for good.

Everyone- keep up the good work!

THANK YOU ALL! I have been all gung-ho....and yet very hesitant to start phase 1 because I don't have the money for all the vitamins and treatments it calls for. BUT...to know I can simply go ahead and start with the water filter, organic and teas makes me feel better. I do want the colonics...about how much does that run in a clinic? If I can't afford it, would taking the cleanse kit suffice? I have SOOO many questions....but you all have answered oh, so many already without even knowing it! lol I guess the only way I will find out what I really need to know is to just do it. Call me Nike. Just don't call me fat! :) lol Thanks again. Will keep checking in to see how well you are all doing. Proud of ya.

Hi Pearl: Where's there's a will there's a way . . .  get an ennema bag from the drug sore and give yourself the colonic (enema) that's what I do . . . less expensive and more private!! Don't skimp on the organic meats but you can go to your local farmer's market and get all freash veggies and fruit, usually at great prices. . . just wash them really well . .. .  I used lemons to wash with at first and they worked really well too .. . . with all the lemons you're using to cook just keep the peels and put them in a big jug and fill with water . . . and you'll have a lemonie fresh shower!! Just be creative and you can find a way!! Don't let almighty buck slow you down!! "Just Do It" is my motto too!! Good luck, LooLoo

I can't explain how happy this is making me.  Yesterday was day 2 of VLCD and the scale this morning was generous...lost another 2.6 lbs!  That is 8.6 pounds in 2 days!!!  I can not believe it!!!  It has really been remarkable.  The diet is not difficult, I know it is just the begining, but the hunger is extremely mild.

soexcited, Like you I have a long way to go, 150lb loss is a reasonable goal for me, too.  Sounds like you are adout 3 days ahead of me, unless you are counting from the first shot?  It is really nice to have so many people going through the same thing at the same time.

Oh yeah, this morning I tried icing my leg before the injection, about 20 min--while the shot warmed up--IT WORKS!  No discomfort at all!!!  So anyone tired of the sting, you might want to give it a try.

Lindalo, that was a good suggestion about the enema.  Do you put anything in the solution or just use water?  I am following Dr. Simeons protocal.  And have not done all the things K.T. suggests.  But I was thinking of getting a colonic, so your suggestion is right up my alley!! (so to speak!!!)

Mommyiam, I was so glad to find this sight.  It is great to have others that are working the program with me.  I started my load days last Saturday and as of this morning have lost 9.8lbs.  What makes it even better is I was having swelling in my feet and legs and was waking only to want to go back to sleep.  But this morning my ankles are normal and I woke up feeling rested and fresh.  God is so good!!!

Peal, Do what you said, just start.  Like I said before I didn't do any of the things K.T. recomends and so far things are going really well.  I am staying on the 500 calorie diet and yesterday I took my dogs for a walk.  I'm 54 and I feel like this is my last chance to loose weight or I will me FAT for the rest of my life.  I beleive I am at a place where I can keep it off when I loose it.  I am praying and trusting God to help me through the rough spots.  JUST START!!!!!

I've been MIA huh? well the sleep thing is about the same and all around not feeling well, it's not related to Hcg- it is my other health issues. I'm not taking my injections right now. I am eating lower carb and watching the sugar/starch still. I'm hoping to start back up in 6 weeks. Since once you stop they suggest waiting  6 to 8 weeks. So taking this break and hoping I'll get another good period with the other health issues and I'll start this again. Thank you for all the kind words and messages. It all really helps.

Keep going everyone you're all doing so well....!

I'm pretty sure my body is tapped out, im down to 129.5 and i've never looked or felt so damn skinny, its weird i know 129.5 pounds doesnt SOUND that skinny, but im pretty solid and my bones are sticking out!

Hi everyone!  I have been following your threads since August, believe it or not.  It took 5 weeks to get my hcg from GHI after I threateded to have my bank demand the money back. Today is the second day of the gorge.  I have read posts regarding bathing.  I know Linda uses lemons and someone posted about Natures Gate  and Moonshine soap.  Has anyone else found anything to use that has no oil or lard?  I got castile soap from the health food store, but it is loaded with organic oils.  What is everyone else using?  thanks for your help

So, my HCG finally shipped today!! yaaaaay I can't wait to get it, I'm so excited.

HOWEVER, it was shipped from India and I ordered it from Europe from drugdelivery.ca.....
i'm pissed, I asked why and they had no idea so they are getting back to me. I just feel more comfortable with Europe...did this happen to anyone else?
Do you think there is anything to worry about? AAAArhgh

I think that is what happened to me also.  I ordered on 9/17, got email that it shipped on 9/27.  I waited a few days then called to check and they told me that it was on its way to the UK...from where?  Can't remeber if they told me India, but that is what I suspected.  I got another email saying it was shipped on 10/4, so called again that meant it was shipped from the UK. Then another email on 10/9 saying it was shipped--that one they claimed to be a mistake.  I did receive it on 10/10.  I started injections on Sat, did 2 gorge days then VLCD for 2 complete days (today day3) and I have lost 8.6 lbs.  So I think the stuff is fine.  The brand name is Prendgl..or something close to that.  Best Luck, can't wait to hear you join us.

well i've ordered my second shipment from them and the first one came in 18 days.  the second time it got messed up because i used the echeck feature.  it took over a week to process so i called and asked them to cancel it and put it thru with my credit card.  that didn't work she said becaue it was put thru in the UK and the credit card company wouldn't allow it.  i had to key it from home and it worked fine.  she put it thru as express but didn't charge my card.  that was on friday the 12the and the order said it shipped on the 13th.  i didn't get any emails though from them like i did the last time.  maybe because it was pushed thru i don't know.  i'm going to call though tomorrow and check on it.  i did receive an email though that said my echeck failed after i had cancelled it so at least i won't be charged twice.   we'll see.  i have only got one more week here but flo is in own so i'll be skipping a few days anyway.  hopefully it's going to be a speedy delivery!!

I have a question....probably going to sound like a stupid one but....do any of you drink your water at room temp like KT suggested or do you refrigerate it??  I'd heard years ago that it's better to drink water at a cooler temp because the body would have to work to would increase it to the body's temp.  Then, of course, I read KT's book and he says otherwise.  Dumb question, I'm sure.  I'm just confused....lol

Hello all. This morning I woke up and lost another 2.4 lbs so that brings me to a total of 5.8 pounds in two days! Its amazing! However I have some concerns and I want to know if anyone has experienced the same things.

1. Today was really rough for me. I constantly thought about food and I had a headache all day long it was waaay worse than the first two days. I finally just had to go to sleep until my dinner time. Does anyone rememeber or can anyone tell me if this is normal? I know the first three days are the toughest- but is it particularly worse on the third day as opposed to first two? If so, when does it subside?

2. Also, I am having a tough time sleeping. I keep feeling my empty belly and that "hunger but not hungry feeling." Part of it is the excitement and daydreaming about being skinny and waking up to weigh myself. But the other part of it is just uncomfortable. Any thoughts?

3. Last but not least, This morning I woke up and wasted a whole pre-filled syringe because I kept seeing air bubbles. I know that air bubbles are dangerous with intraveinously injejected syringes but is it the same in this case. I think in an effort not to waste another syringe I may have let a couple of bubbles go in the second one. Please tell me that I won't die. :)

Jennifer: I work at a high school in northern carlifornia. It is pretty stressful but it makes the time pass by quickly and I can usually get through the day without thinking about food. however, when I get home is another story. I am particularly interested and worried to see how I will survive the weekend without work. Maybe I will just sleep until it is time to eat...

Researcher: good work on your weight loss journey. 129 is a beautiful weight and you should be proud. I hope I can be that "skinny" some day.

The first couple of days were very tough for me too.  It was much easier after that for me (with a tough day here and there).  I had more trouble sleeping toward the end of phase 2.  I start phase 3 tomorrow.  I've lost 23 pounds in 26 days and I think this is so worth it.  As far as the bubbles go, my sister is a physician and she says it isn't dangerous for IM injections.  Get as many bubbles as you can out by tapping the syringe firmly, but don't waste a whole syringe.  Also I did fertility twice with IM injections every day and I was never able to get out every last bubble!
Hope this helps.  Good luck, you'll do great!!!

Well - I finally figured out what was making my heart race. And your not going to believe it.

Organic Beef. grrrr. I can't believe it. But I finally realized the other day when I cooked it - about 45 minutes later I had an increased heart rate. So - I'm going to go back to really lean beef and see what that does. See if it's just beef all around that way. I only eat it about twice a week for variety.

I'm down 19.5 lbs - still need to take measurements - and pound wise 105.5 on day 15. I'm kick'n buttt and doin it well!!

On the night I ate chicken before bed - I lost 1.5 pounds again. So I'm going to do it again tonight before bed...and see how it goes.

Congrats everyone!!!

bigeasy4:  I do the 3tbsp of lemon juice in 3oz of water everyday.  From what I was told years ago, the lemon juice releases retained water.  So when NHW had it listed, I didn't think twice about doing it everyday.  There may be other reasons why we're supposed to do it but this was the only explanation for it that I knew.  Thank you for the response about the water.  I never asked NHW about it...lol.  I don't mind room temp water to a point but I'd much rather drink it cold...lol.

all:  Day 11 of the vlcd and I've lost 15.5lbs.  I know that it'll slow soon but I thank God everyday for the pounds that are still dropping.

sajogirl:  I had an easy first vlcd day but I really had to struggle the two days following.  By the fourth day, the hunger was gone.  The first few days I had a bit of trouble sleeping--I think just due to my body adjusting to all the changes--but everything is good now.  I never had any headaches but had bought a bottle of aspirin just in case.  I hope things straighten out for you soon.

first of all............take it easy on yourself!! you are really doing great!  it's a difficult thing that we're doing because we're learning how to live a whole new life.  one basically without one of the most fun things we used to enjoy...........eating!  it wasn't always because we were hungry right.  sometimes we ate because we were entertaining friends, or out and about and it sounded good to stop and get some lunch/dinner etc.  it was a social activity that we're no longer able to indulge in the way we used to.  i think that's the "empty" feeling.  we miss just eating.  but it really does subside.  still after 37 days i still miss eating and look forward to doing it again soon!  i'm even entertaining a fantacy about buying an ice cream maker and making organic ice cream with things i can have like milk/cream, stevia, cocoa.  no starch no sugar!!  can't wait til phase 3.  but you're right the first 3 days are toughest.  still  (like now on my period) sometimes i really want my comfort foods.  not for hunger but because it would be really great to eat.  i never have trouble (never say never i know) sleeping.  once you start feeling hip bones again you'll get more comfortable with it.  i know what you mean about the worry about air bubbles.  i usually deal with that as i'm filling the syringe but if you get yours prefilled just hold the needle up, thump the syringe to  let the big bubbles go to the top and depress a drop or two to make sure they're out and you're good to go.  peopel who are trying to get deep enough for an IM shot are more likely to hit something they don't want to like a nerve or a vein.   even bone depending on how long the needle is.  that is a worry to me.  but if you've gotten most of the bubbles out don't worry.  remember every time you fall and cut yourself or cut yourself shaving you have opened up some vein and let some air in.  it's not terrible.  you don't want to inject a huge air pocket in a vein to be sure but every time you get a cut you've introduced air into the blood supply.  you didn't die right.  i do subQ shots and don't worry about it.  i read enough to feel confident it's going to get where it needs to go so no need to hurt myself and risk injury doing something i'm not qualified to do.  you'll be fine, but i worried about the same thing the first few times.  i remember lindaloo saying she slept a lot in the beginning.  i would if i could more but after work is when mom's work begins ya know.  no time to sleep!  take care and good luck.  you're doing great!!

all..............down 20.5 lbs and i'm on my period so that's really exciting!!

sajo, Yesterday for me was a bit weird also.  I felt a bit sick and needed to sit for a little while around 4pm, and with 3 kids thats not easy.  It passed, but still didn't feel great most of the night.  I'm sure it's just cause everything we are doing...plus it has been really stressful for me the last few days...Hoping we have better days!

this is a little note for anyone just getting started that is getting dizzy, lightheaded, feeling a bit "strange" or creepy.........i had many days like that and it really freaked me out.  i decided to use some of the liquimins mineral drops i had used before the diet and it really did the trick.  i believe that with all the water we're drinking (and passing!!!!) we are getting a little depleated in the electrolytes and minerals.  the drops i use have calcium, potassium, mag plus a ton of other trace minerals that really helped put me back in balance.  i haven't had one of those goofy days since i went back to that.  it's worth a try especially if you're getting wiped out and not able to manage your lives because of it.

I love reading Linda/Gracie/Mr/Ima/Ubf/Jenn/Eua/Mel/My/Ital...........your progress, trials, tribulations and tips over the past months.  Please don't abandon us newbies as you go on to phase three...your daily input is a boost to us.

I know before asking this.........no diet soda, right??  My first three days on VLCD were very tough, had a Diet Coke for two of the days, have vowed to stop....but I did see the scale drop 3.6 lbs between day 3 and 4, for a total of 7 since Sat/13th (1st day of inj).   Considering I've lost 16 lbs. on a 1000 cal./Lipo B shot diet in the preceeding 30 days, I am extremely pleased with this.

I've had the chills, decided it was the cold water.  Sleeping like a baby.  No headaches, for the first time today, no cravings or tummy growl.

How serious is everyone with the no makeup nor shampoo??  I am wearing powder foundation and look like a ghost.......

another question, any pro or con to a skip injection day/once a week?

Happy Day to all!!

This is my 4th vlcd day and i'm down 10lbs.  So far everything is going good.  I had some trouble yesterday with the cravings, just thinking about all the things I wasn't going to be able to eat.  I'm also a social eater and I'm having to think about new ways to keep up with my friends because food has always been a part of our time out. (boy, this is a whole new way of living) I was pretty bummed out last night. Like you, Sojagirl I to am wondering how I will do this coming week end.  My friend says that after a while the cravings will go away boy, am I looking forward to that!!!

I am not a very creative cook (which has always been part of my problem) and our food choices are so limited I was wondering if anybody had any ideas about variety also, what about smoothies?  I have never really had one and don't know how I would make one on this program.  Any ideas????

Walked again last night.  The dogs really like that.  But I really have to make myself get up and get out.  I'm not like a lot of you that have so many good things already worked into your lifestyle.  God and I are creating a whole new mind set and body.  I just have persevere.   Would appeciate any help, tips advice.  To God be the Glory!!!!!

you are doing great so keep on keepin on with the rest of us.  you're correct........no soda!!!  even diet soda because of the terrible sugar sub they use.  besides the acid is murder on your teeth (professional plug there!).  and it's got so much other **** in it to keep you addicted it's just best to get away from it.  think of soda as liquid death.  the co2 they put in there is like the stuff we exhale when we breath.  you are putting back in the stuff our body thinks is toxic waste.
i use an organic shampoo from one of two places.........it's either aveda or crowning glory (that's an organic mix from evan's garden.  awesome site).  it does have plant oils in it though so i don't know what to tell you.  so does my soap. it's all organic but it does contain essential oils.  i feel like this.....it's going on and gettin rinsed off.  it's not like i'm slathering myself with oils and allowing that to sink in ( i do not use body lotions etc).  although after reading some of the posts from other hcg sites i'm no longer afraid to put some moisture back into my sad old face.  the areas around my eyes were so dry and itchy i caved in.  also from evan's garden i have a wonderful organic mix that is wonderful.  it's all good stuff so i'm not concerned.  make up is another thing all together though.  that should be powder i believe.  you can use color too just make sure it's a mineral powder base with no **** in it.  we don't want to be skinny ugly people do we??!!!  and yes, i skip an injection each week.  look at it this way...........the hcg stays in our body for at least 2 days so you won't be missing it and you get 40 effective injections.  so the more days you can skip the longer you can drag out phase 2 round 1!!  and you can skip several days during aunt flo if she still visits you.  so that's longer on phase 2 and vlcd.  hopefully it's going to amount to more pounds lost during round one for me and a shorter go round on round 2.  i'm hoping to lose at least 30 on round one.  then i'll have only 15-20 on round 2 and hopefully i can get that job done in a shorter 23 shot cycle.  it's all good!

Oh, I had one more thought.  Does anyone know anything about or has had experience with EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques)  From reading on the hcgdietinfo.com web sight it has something to do with mind sets, old patterns, etc. Just interested.

Thank you so much for the information regarding the soap and organic oils.  I washed my hair with it last night and came out with dread locks so I washed this morning with my herbal essences and it was better, but I am still looking for a shampoo substitute.  You have lost so much and still use the organic soap so I will do that also.  Today is my first day of the "diet" and I am so hopefull after reading for these months about all of your (group) successes.  I am so glad to find this group, and hope that ya'll will help me through the next 45 days or so.

Okay, no more pop, that has been a major addiction and I KNOW it is no good, though I must say you really put it in perspective.

I am going to our local organic store here in Phoenix, Sprouts, this weekend to look into a "safe" shampoo and a mineral/water based makeup.  I really don't want to look like I am in mourning as this is the most exciting, positive, productive program I've ever done.  I am so pumped!  You veteran gals do it for us newbies.

The thing I most eagerly look forward to and hopefully anticipate isn't just the weight loss and the journey, but the resetting of the hypothalamus/pituitary in the end.  It would be wonderful to reset things and be able to eat semi-normally (but healthy) again without dread of weight surges.

My mindset this time really is on health and longevity.  I am in it for the long run.

Another question, if you will, I did the 5000iu mixture but the more I read, the more I think the 1500iu weekly mixing is better.  What say you?

OPPS!  Hello to everybody!  So many newbies.  This is great!  There is so much support and knowledge from experienced hcger's on this thread.
Phase1 day 43, still at 33lbs loss.  I did start eating normally this week like was stated in Dr. S'
protocol. So, Saturday will be first injection!
After eating low cal and all organic for the last month and a half it was hard to eat "normally".  It actually made me a little sick.  I guess that is a good thing.  I had hoped to lose 40lbs on phase 1,
then I would have 100lbs to go.
I have increased my exercise program to mt. hiking 3 days a week, walking 2 days a week and stationary bike 5 days a week for 30 mins.  If my mid section was in as good a shape as my legs I would'nt be doing this diet. lol!!  I carry all my extra weight from the chest down to the lower belly.
For halloween I can be a skinny legged PUMPKIN
Good luck to all you new losers and keep chuggin along to all the seasoned pros.
HAVE A GREAT DAY!!!! :-)

I have been watching your posts and you ARE awesome...sure are working your tail off w/exercise.  Not me, not yet.  Do you think it'll be another three phases to goal?  H'bout you, are you mixing 1500iu weekly or 5000iu monthly?  How tall are you and how is your skin shrinkage looking??

About the water.  I have always heard that cold water burned more cals. But, KT states cold liquids slows down metabolism.  So I started drinking it at room temp.

UB... good post on carbonated drinks.  That was better said than KT's.  "Carbonated drinks block calcium absorption, leading to nutritional deficiencies which lower metabolism."

I am still using regular shampoo and conditioner. I have long hair and I have'nt found an organic one that I like.  Like ub said you don't let it soak in just rinse it out good.

I am using 1500iu.  And, it will probably take at least 3 rounds of injections.  I bought enough hcg for 2 rounds.  Saved a few $$.
I am 5'5' and I started at 287lbs.  Gosh that is hard for me to say.  Only this forum and my daughter know the weight.  I hope to be 150lbs sooooon!!!  And when I get to 150lbs I will think about going to 130lbs.  Haven't been 130lbs since my second child was born 20 years ago.  I guess I still have baby fat. lol

About the skin.  Right now no noticable difference in the skin.  My weight loss has been all over and not in one area.  I really hope hcg will help with the baby fat in the belly.  If  no not if  when I lose all my weight if the belly sags.  I think I will finance the tummy tuck.. (if needed)  I will deserve it!

I am with you girl!  I haven't really exercised in about 5 years...I do try to walk some, but that is just recently, and not very far.  (It is really hot here in the summer,  --so that makes it hard to want to go outside, but finally we are waking to the 80's and only high about 90..)  I plan to increase as my body allows.  I am not using any makeup or lotion (chapstick about 2x a day).  I also am using organic shower products.  I tried some organic deodorant...not happy with, and will try a different one when I get a chance to go find it.  I have the chills a bit too, really weird cause I am usually sooo hot.  I think its the water too. (maybe I will have to break down and wear socks..hee hee)  Oh and about the skip inj, I think I am going to try like UB says and skip this Sunday and then if I am totally starvin' don't skip again...makes sense to me.  Good Luck Everyone!!!

So I will make a trip to the organic store this weekend......the powder on face is UGLY, I look flakey:)  There is a rock deod. that works real good, methinks the essence is to get away from any lanolin/oil base.

Think I'll skip a inj. day too, the BOOK says it staves off building up immunity a few days longer at the end....I hope to go 40 days on my first go-round.  You?

When I started the lipo B program the first of September, that facilitator said not to worry about excercise til we got motivated to do so.  That might be a while for me, sorry to say.....I know I need to, but here in AZ either its TOO hot to walk, or dark in the AM and dark in the PM when I get home from work.  I have a excercise bike I could use.  NOT.  Swimming would be my choice, maybe after I dunk down under 200#.

But let me tell you, the 3# drop (or as one blogger says "release") this AM was a thrill - esp. after losing 16 lbs. last month on the lipo/1200 cal per day.  I am still doing that shot in conjunction with this, every two weeks.   I have 80 to go.......this whole program could be incredibly wonderful and amazing.  Especially with all the support and input from this site.  People like Gracie and Ubfl inspire me to no end.

My next change will be to order the 1500iu to keep batches fresher.  You keep in touch, y'hear :)

Oh, I know AZ is hot!  My Aunt used to live in Scottsdale.  It is a beautiful state though.
I just started back hiking/walking about 4 weeks ago. Temps have finally cooled down here in NC
High 70's to low 80's in the day and mid 60's early am. Thats when a like to hike early Sat. & Sun.

I know what you mean about the swim suit.  I love to swim. Just can't bring myself to do that right now.  I went with my daughter and granddaughter to the beach in June and I wore shorts and a tank top on the beach.  I seen so many heavy ladies in bathing suits.  But I just can't do it!!
Good luck!!!

To: graciegirl2
Oey, NC is beautiful too, and probably hotter than we as we still don't have the humidity you do.  Oh but the beaches you have.  I've gone with a friend down to Mexico resorts a time or two....do you have ANY idea what it is like sitting on the beach in black pants and sloppy shirt, hating yourself (but at least with a bucket of beer).  Last time I swore NEVER again.

My dream goal treat is a first time cruise, and you'll catch me up on the nudist deck.  Not really, but the size will be slim(er)!!  Like you, I see heavy ladies in swimsuits and almost admire their self-confidence, but no, not me.  No way.  Just hoping for a tankini by next May!!

For the first time ever, I feel and believe HCG can get me there without three years of struggling, starving and plateaus.  Don't mind working the program hard when the results are there.  The keys are here.  The results are here.  It still seems too good to be true, which is why I treasure you and the others feedback.  It gives us focus and anticipation of better days.

You'll do better than what you think you will this coming weekend.  I was terrified that I'd mess up last weekend (it was my first on the vlcd) but I had no problems whatsoever.  I thought with not taking the shot on the weekend that I had lost my "security blanket".  But everything was good.

Are the EFT similar to Dr. Callahan's techniques??

hi everyone, well i had a very scary thing happen last night.
evidently i experienced a hypoglycemic attack. i had been complaining of feeling weak and faint alot lately, i was begining to think my body was rejecting the hcg. Then i got so lightheaded and dizzy that i almost passed out, i was so scared driving home thinking i'd pass out any minute and i had no idea what was wrong with me. finally when i got home, i was so scared and confused that i literally stuffed my face with all the sugar i could find.. nutella and peanutbutter on crackers is all i can say! it got ugly! and i wasnt even hungry at all! i just ate and ate and ate because i felt i needed to, and instinctively i went right for the sugar.

that being said, i felt 1000 times better almost instantly. but i also felt really guilty. Up until last night i hadn't cheated once on the entire 32 days of vlcd.

then i re-read Dr. S protocol and he mentions something about hypoglycemia being common when a patient reaches the end of a cycle or near their normal weight. he says to immediately eat 2 heaping tsp of sugar, and that it wont effect the scale if it truly was hypoglycemia. i wanted to let everyone know to read this section of the protocol so you dont make the same mistake i made (needless to say i gained 1.5 pounds this morning since i ate WAY more than 2 tsp).

but i woke up feeling fantastic, full of energy and pep so its too bad i had to learn the hard way how to treat a hypoglycemic attack. But im all better now, and for now on i 'll keep sme candies in my purse and glovebox.

Just wanted to inform everyone! Crisis averted and it was only 1.5 pounds.

I don't know what my strength is, but my weakness on the diet has been cravings.  HCG helped my hunger but it didn't do much for the cravings.  Thank goodness they have subsided now.  I'm happy with the weight I've lost, but I am disappointed that I didn't lose a pound a day.  Well, at least I'm wearing pants that are two sizes smaller than I did when I started.

Okay, I know that several of you have experienced this one.  I have followed the vlcd to the letter every single day but today I'm up 1.5lbs.  :(  Last night, I started to eat the extra 100g of protein before bed but thought it was still too early into the diet.  Today is my 12th day.  Should I wait a while longer before eating the extra protein or would it be okay to do that tonight??

I'm up a pound again today.  I am getting so sick of gaining weight on this diet!  I am so mad I may quit the very next time I gain a single ounce!  It's almost time for this to be over for me anyway.  I was hoping to get to the 150s but I have to lose more and more weight since I keep gaining back what I lose!  I'm starting to get more than just a little frustrated.

Don't get discourageed.  You have come so far. 20.5lbs is great!  And, you are wearing smaller clothes.
Do you eat the samethings every day or do you change it up a bit?
Are you drinking plenty of water?
Are you walking or any other type exercise?  (exercise is a bad word, I know)  If not maybe you could add 30 mins. walking to get you over the edge.
Sometimes I do better just weighing every couple days.  Then I'm not discouraged that I gained one day and lost the next.

are either of you close to aunt flo?  also there are times in a womans body that fluid is held on to.  or are either of you using any type of senna product or colon cleanse/lax?  that will pull water from the body to the colon and cause the rest of the body to hold on to water like nobody's business.  if you've used it for a while eventually you'll get water retention.  you don't gain 1.5 of fat over night so you know it's fluid retention.   keep up the water consumption (at least a gallon) and pay attention to your cycle.  see where you are (ovulation, menses) and try to figure it out that way.  if you've done the diet the way you should it has to be fluid retention.  it happens to me sometimes too.  i'll go up a pound and get sort of mad about it.  i've been thru 2 periods on this program and that held things up a bit i'm sure.  you retain so much before then it takes a while after to flush it out.   that's why if i feel good i'm going to go an extra week or 2 to make up for the 2 periods and the time i've lost because of it.  good luck gals and hang in there...........it will level off.

Eruaistaniel - I read in some earlier posts that sometimes the Hcg gets old and looses potency.  When they replaced the Hcg the weight started coming off again!!!  Also, the other day I didn't drink my water like I should and only lost a little that day.  Boy, did I learn my lesson. Just a thought for you.

svltdebo - I'm so excited i'm down another 2lbs.  That makes over 12.5 since last Saturday.  Like you I don't mind working the program hard when the results are there.  I'v been over weight all my life.  Like so many I've been on about every program out there, some more than 2 or 3 times. I've got to do this for me this time.  I know I also have to change my lifestyle. I'm doing great about not being hungery, but it's the craving that have been hard. (It's the fat head syndrome, don't you know.) I have a lot ot loose and will have to do multiple phases to reach goal.  Thanks to all of you for the encouragement that is on this site.

mommy - Like you I'm not going to an injection on Sunday.  The last thing I want is for my body to get immune to the hcg because I have so far to go.

Have an awesome blessed day to all!!!!!

Flo left earlier this week, so I figured that it wouldn't be that.  It's very discouraging to see the scale go up when you know that there should be no logical reason for it.  Like Eruaistaniel, I was already ready to give up.  But I know that this happens and I have to keep trudging along.  I drink 96oz to 104oz of spring water a day so I know that I'm not lacking there.  I have a had a BM prob--haven't had one since Tuesday the 9th.  Which I really thought after eating apples that it would move with no probs.  I started to ask if anyone had done colonics since being on Phase 2 but, honestly, I was kind of embarassed about having THIS type of prob...lol.  But now that I've let the 'cat out of the bag', I'll have to get over the embarassment of it.

Simple mistake last night meant no weight loss last nite, for my first week on VLCD I am crushed - but wiser.  I know the protocol says only 1 egg white per week, so after having a great chicken/veggie day yesterday, I ate @ Village Inn last night and ordered 2 scrambled "lite" eggs w/salsa.  Up ,1 on the scale this AM :(  No cheating means NO cheating.  Will follow religiously today and hopefully the scale will drop tomorrow AM.  Nothing is harmless to the procedure, one flub shows on the scale.  I know we shouldn't be addicted/tied to the scale, but boy does it matter!!

What I wonder if the cause was the 2 eggs, or the fact that they have been not real eggs, rather those modified egg mixture.  Anyway I'm a little blue today.  And a whole lot wiser.

Soexcited - lets do this!  Lets work this and allow it to happen for ourselves,  We must even overcome the little lows, lets stay focused on the end result....you know what they say about "being sick and tired of being sick and tired"!  These others are doing it, we can too.  I may have to forgo daily weigh-ins to weekly weigh-ins as the scale has always been my enemy.  I want to place trust in the program and keep on trucking rather than worry about the damn number every morning....I might be wrong, but I know my weak area.  That, and exercise....'nuther weakness.

This I do know, if we keep our mental and emotional state pumped and hyped, the rest will come as it will.....the mental set point is so vital.  You hear it and read it in everyone one of these posts.  Which is why I love reading the posts from those that are forging out there towards the end of phase two or onto their next.  We need their dailiy feed.

A great day to all!

Some of you ahead of us say the weekend is okay, not so hard.  This will be my first.....is always much easier disciplining my cravings during the week at work....weekends are trouble spots.  I hope you are right, methinks I'll up my dosage to 200iu this first one, anyway.

Another question, somewhere in the protocol or one of these posts, I read about not mixing mixtures, when you use one "bottle" up, start a new fresh one......not to mix batches.  This that critical or not??  I was wondering about when I get down to the bottom of my vial, just mixing in the next 25cc's of bac water and hcg.  Yes!  No!

Just a thought, but I don't think the eggs were the problem, but the salsa is loaded with sugar and salt if it came from a restaurant.  Pico de Gallo has no sauce and is safer, but they still put sugar in it to cut the acidity of the tomatoes.

Thank you for your discussion on hypoglycemia.  I tend to be that way and if that happened to me I would probably have freaked and do exactly what you did - pnut butter, etc.  Now if and when that happens to me I can remain calm and deal.  It is a frantic feeling, isn't it!  Thanks again.

I hope you are right about the eggs, because I do enjoy one, they are filling for me.....salsa would be salty, you ARE right!  And I haven't stopped my one D Pop a day yet, I know that is not good :(

Anyone have the problem with talking about your diet quest with others and getting a pooh pooh from all directions.....my so-called knowledgeable friends just pitch a fit in how outrageous/radical this sounds.  I know it is just ignorance, but I get crabby trying to defend myself......I studied this program for months and months.  At least my significant other understands and trusts the "common sense" of it.

Everyone wants to hit on KT......that is not the point, Dr. Simeon was the forerunner and he was extremely cautious in his testings and beginnings; very fussy and strict with his patients/clients.  The protocol makes sense, it is a simple as that.  I just wish our personal medical doctors and practitioners would see it.  They see us suffering with health issues and weight loss heartache........is it not seeing the forest for the trees??  And is why I had to turn to Mexico to get cured of severe allergies and asthma - without killing myself with all the meds!

Here again plugging you that are ahead of us newbies, your input and help with us is more valuable than you realize.  You have answers to our uncertainties, we don't hold you accountable, we just need the little hiccoughs you can give us....thanks a million times over.

A year ago I was on Nutrisystem and doing well, lost 37 lbs....they had a daily blog like this that was awesome.  The sharing and caring was unbelievable.  Then they changed the website and the commaraderie died.......myself as well as others quit NS and frittered off.  It is the support here that makes all the difference......and I don't like groups, which is WW never worked for me.  This does, it is a thread for everyone.

Do you think HCG is the real reason behind Anna Nicole and Courtney Love's drastic drops??

My husband supports my diet issues to the fullist.  He just hopes I don't give up on this diet like I have in the past.  He enjoys going to the organic stores with me and eating organicly. It sure makes my bill higher when he goes.
Some of my family and co-workers make fun of the diet I am doing, but on the other hand they are seeing the results.  Most make negitive coments about the injections and the organics. Organics is now my new lifestyle.  I tell them to research what they eat and It might change their mindset.
In the end I hope to be a very good example of someone who eats healthy and set the standard for my grandchildren.

Sorry - the weight was 205.5 ( I wish I was 105!) Well I lost 1/2 pound - but my fault - I made cookies for the family - and didn't think about the sugar getting on my hands. (Big no no seeping into your skin that way ! ) But that's ok - my nephew and parents are happy. I'm now 205 - 20 lbs lost - on day 17 vlcd. I'm soo eager to see 199 - to finally get below that 200 mark - hoping that will be this week!

anyway - it sounds like everyone is doing great. I'm kinda bored with my food - but hey if it works it works....

keep it up people we are all gonna be skinny minnie's soon.

Thank you, ladies, for the advice.  I will certainly try either or both of those.  I really thought that it would get moving on its own but that's about normal for me...having to help it along..lol.  Oh, one question though, do either of those have a tendency to keep you in the bathroom for long periods of time??

with your ongoing success, I see you at the finish line.......I know we struggle and struggle with every new thing.  My gut says this is good and this is expedient.

My SO would have worms if he knew about the shot, he just understands the severe caloric restriction.....he still believes good old fashioned eating and exercise will do the trick.  However with as many diets as I/we've tried and failed, our system no longer reactions and works the way it should WHICH IS why I mentioned in an earlier post, my greatest dream for this approach is the actual hypthalamus/pituary reset that'll allow us to live/eat like semi-normal people....without being on an apple a day, the rest of our lives.

just figured i'd comment on the on going discussion..
GUYS... I DIDNT TELL ANYONE.
except of course my mother, father, boyfriend and one best friend. thats it! no extended family, colleagues, friendly friends, work buddies, no one.
Im naturally a kinda private person as it is, and i shy away from revealling too much anyway, but in the instance of this diet, i just figured people are so uneducated, closed-minded, and judgemental that i'd rather not deal with them knowing at all. its my business, and of course OUR business here lol! But seriously, people love to rain on others parades and love to drag others into the dirt with them, (maybe thats just my experience, i am from NY) But let me tell you, you'll save yourself a whole lot of stress, arguing, debating, convincing and drama if you just keep it simple in your explanation of your weight loss.

here's what i told pretty much everyone (because everyone will eventually ask how you got to be so tiny) I told them i went on a strict organic detox or cleanse, filled with mostly raw foods or clean preparations of cooked foods. thats it, i just said, no more processed, chemically altered or otherwise unnatural foods for me! oh and be sure to say you're exercising so people dont think you had lipo or gastric bypass! nobody needs to know anymore than that, it will just give them fuel to talk about you behind your back!
im really not that jaded i swear!

no, i think their thing is/was illegal drugs and surgery!!  people wont understand that's why it's best not to share info with them.  you're on a diet, that's all they need to know.  as far as WW and NS goes, you will always gain it back because you are being trained to eat prepackaged **** food that is filled with excitotoxins that keep you hungry and addicted and coming back for more.  that's why people that lose on those programs come back time and time again.  they think they lost it before so it will help them lose it again.  but it's also why they gained it back, because they aren't eating REAL food.

Skipped a post yesterday. Not from absent-mindedness. I just wasn't so happy after waking up yesterday morning and seeing that I hadn't lost any weight, especially since Wednesday was such a difficult day for me with the headaches and hunger pangs at their worst. However I found comfort in the fact that since monday I had lost almost six pounds. I ate a little more meat yesterday (the day before I had an ounce of meat less than the 4 oz and tried to make it up with vegetables. not a good idea). I also had an apple and some tea before bed last night. I slept better and woke up this morning with a 1 lb weight loss. Yay! Back on track. Now I am down 6.8 pounds in five days!!!

I was wondering if it would be alright to start sharing some recipe ideas. I am sticking strickly to the foods listed in K.T.'s book and just make up different combinations. Tonight I made organic hamburger patties with tomatoes, celery and onions mixed in. And I added some flavor with salt, garlic, rosemary and apple cider vinegar. They were pretty good. next week I think I will make a meatloaf.
Also, at night instead of just eating apples- I steam the apples and add a little bit of organic cinnamon. It adds a little sweetness in my life.
Good Luck everyone.

best advise is to get ahold of kevin trudeau's book "the weight loss cure they don't want you to know about" and dr. simeons book "pounds and inches" and read all the info.  everything is spelled out for you.  if you still think it's a good idea for you we'd love to see you on here with the rest of us big losers.  if not, hopefully you'll find something else that will work for you.  good luck!

I'm alot happier today.  I'm down 1.5 pounds today.  In 36 days of vlcd, I've lost 21 pounds.  I was at 21 pounds loss days ago and still wish I could be even lower now instead of where I started at a couple of days ago, but I'm pretty happy.  Tomorrow could be my last day on the shots.  Looks like I'm getting pretty low on HCG.  I'll have to see how much I have left tomorrow before I know for sure but I think tomorrows shot will take the rest of it.

My husband and I are going for an overnight getaway.  I know that we're not supposed to wear makeup but does anyone know how it will affect my weight loss if I wear even just eye shadow and mascara??  I know that we'll be out walking around, shopping, etc and I am so self-conscious about makeup that I don't want to ruin my weekend by stressing over it.

Oh yeah, I'm down 1 lb from yesterday.  You'd think that would be enough to make my decision about the makeup...lol.  I'm not concerned about my eating, I can handle that, it's only the out-and-about bare-faced.  Vanity??  Maybe....insecurity??  DEFINITELY!!

well its my very last shot day (yesterday was really, but it was a double dose) so this is it, Dr. S says to go by the weight from your last injection day.. So........ drum roll please...............

I weighed in at 130.. even!
Its not 125, but i'll take it. Starting at 152, that means i've lost 22 pounds in 35 days. This has been a very successful 5 weeks.. I guess i could have done the extra week and tried for the last 5 pounds, but its been coming off so painfully slow that i just dont think its meant to come off! not now anyway..

I love you all for being here for me in the god and the bad.. and i'll surely check in to let everyone know how my phase 3 is moving along. i'll still be on 500 cal/day until tues so i'll let you all know how it goes..

Lindaloo: hows your weight? still fluctuating or has it settled more? Also can you believe the trafic lately?? its unbelievable? Also, ever try the trader joes on Merrick rd (or is it ave.?) i love that place im gonna hit them up when im officially able to eat normal again!

Hi All!
Second day on the vlcd and 7 pounds down.  I made the BEST soup last night, I want to eat it all the time.  A little reminiscent of the cabbage soup craze though.  I took two roma tomatoes and put them through the cuisinart and pureed them, added two cloves of crushed fresh garlic,  put it in a saucepan and maybe trippled it with water.  Finely chopped some red onion and finely shredded some green cabbage and threw that in. Added two shakes of Mrs Dash.  Simmered it for about a half and hour.  Cooked my fish while the rest was cooking.  Divided the soup into two portions so I have some for tonight>  I can't wait!  I think I read in Dr Simmeon's not to mix vegitables but in KT he gave a list of veggies to mix so I went with that..

Love the apple idea!  I already had my apple today, but tomorrow it is going to happen!                 Good luck everyone and stick with it!

I know I must sound crazy, but I turned down a dinner party tonight just because I can't wear makeup.  Is that pathetic or what!    My husband was suprised but said he understood.  I have always been successful on diets but then gain the weight back eventually.  He is hoping that this is the trick.

Isn't the makeup you can't use just stuff that contains oils or fats? Every make-up I've ever bought said it was oil free...
I'm more concerned with all the face products I use, cleanser, blemish stuff, lotion, sunscreen etc etc....what is everyone using, if anything?
I'm on Phase 1 and my skin is a nightmare, I'd like to think its from detoxing and that it will get better, but its always been bad acne/major redness. I think I might have a bit of a hormonal imbalance that I'm hoping the HCG might actually help anyway.
But anyway, Is everyone skipping all face products? And what about soap/conditioner etc...??

Hi, and welcome!  There is a group of us here that had our first injection last week.  I had my first shot last Sat, and started the VLCD on Mon.  As far as food goes, I have been very boring...chicken on the grill with a bit of seasoning (garlic, lemonjuice, basil...) with either cucumbers or spinach and for dinner I have beef (only organic I can find is ground 85/15) I make it into to patties and grill them, I have tomatoes or spinach with them.   eat my two apples usually in between, sometimes have one in the am.  I think I am going to try some of that Chilean Sea Bass, Loo really liked it.  I am not much of a seafood eater, but I am already getting tired of the beef.

All--I was so surprised and excited this morning.  Yesterday morning I had lost 0.8lb, and figured the slow down was starting, then this morning down 2.6 lbs!  That is a total of 15.2 pounds in 6 days of dieting!!!  Don't think I did anything different.  I did use a tiny drop of lotion on my finger tips, they were cracking, and I can't believe I worried about it.  The only other dif I can guess is the sleep thing.  I had very little night before last (but also several times this week) NOT from the diet, just my kids (2 keeping me up late, and 1 getting up in the middle of the night and very early morning).  Last night I got about 7-8 hours.  Can't say what happened, but I am glad it did!!

Good Luck Everone!

Hi.  I was so glad to read you post.  My Hcg will be here in a day or two according to the tracking.  So it's exciting to find someone else who will be getting started at the same time.   I'm 32 years old, mother of 2 children.  I am a self-employed contractor running a business with the help of my husband, and work as a dental assistant 2-3 days a week.  So my plan is to stay BUSY and try not to focus on the cravings, for me that is my downfall.  As far as the diet get KT's book, its the best as well as Pound and Inches.  I would love to hear more recipes also.  Don't forget to do 2 days of high fat foods before you start the VLCD.  I will be skipping Sundays also, that's what I hear others are doing.
Thank you everyone...it is really encouraging to hear your success stories, when I am just about to begin.

M . . . you're done!!!!! Yippie!!!!!! You did great!!! So pround of you!! Yes my weight is still fluxuating between 138 and 142 . . . I'm trying different foods and seeing what they do to me the next morning . . . Phase 3 is really a trial and error period, I'm finding out (that's what they say to do on the hcg support group site) . . . a lot of them are still losing weight during phase 3 so I'm wondering Why Not Me?? But that's ok, I'm staying positive and keeping a close watch on food and exercise so hopefully I will figure it out!! The only advice I can give is take it slow and one new food at a time during your first week of phase 3 and get some steak at Whole Foods and toss it in the freezer (I've already done 2 steak days) . . . Let me know when you're ready for our Lunch date . .. I'll be there with bells on!! Again, Congratulations!!!

Here is my log, I was posting on the other Thread:

I started the Protocol on Sunday 10/14/2007 @ 230.5 pounds. I gorged for 2 days and gained 4 pounds 234.5 pounds. I started the VLCD on Tuesday 10/16/2007, it is now Thursday 10/18/2007, I weighed myself this morning and....... (drum roll).................. 226 pounds! That's 8.5 pounds in 2 days! 4.5 pounds off my original weight of 230.5, I am so astonished at what this is doing. Praise God! I had a couple of cravings, but as I keep seeing the scale go down, down, down.... it wipes any thoughts of cravings out of my mind

Does anyone have asthma, or ever had asthma and the HCG is effecting it? Are you wheezing or having trouble breathing since starting the use of it? I noticed I started wheezing since starting the injections, but it could be the change of whether.

10/19/2007 FRIDAY
I weighed myself this morning, and only a half pound loss........ Praise God!, at least I lost and did not gain or stay the same! I'm down to 225.5 pounds. I still can't believe it... is this real.... LOL, could the half pound loss be due to the fact that Thursday is the day that I skip my injection? Or is it just leveling off..... 8.5 pounds in 2 days is a lot....... then again I had a flat tire yesterday and touched the spare, may have gotten some  grease on my fingers. Oh well today is a new day.

10/22/2007 - MONDAY
THANK YOU (mystikldrmr), I think that's what it was, I am losing between 1.5 - 2 pounds a day now, I stayed at 225.5 for 2 days (Fri & Sat), Sunday Morning I was at 224 pounds, As of this morning, I'm down to 222pounds! Praise God!
OMG! Somebody, Anybody PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!
My lips are so dry, they feel like they are on fire! I have not put any kind of product on them, I bought two chapsticks, some Burt's Beeswax and another vegan brand from a health food store, however I have not used either of them, due to the fact that they are basically made up of all oil (cocnut, sunflower, canola) and so on. I need something I can put on my lips to soothe them, that will not interrupt my weight loss. Does anyone have any suggestions. I am in extreme discomfort. Thank You all, God Bless.

Looks like my HCG is going to last another 2 or 3 days.  I must have, unknowingly, had to ampule tilted and was looking at the lowest side the other day when I thought I just had one shot left.  Anyway, I'm down another pound.  I lost 1/2 a pound yesterday and today.  So, after 38 days on the vlcd, I'm down 22 pounds.  I'm almost done and the 150s are so close.  I'm at 161 now.  I hope I make it, but if I don't I can live with it until round 2.

New stats....Phase 1 for 44 days total loss 33lbs.  A total of 11 3/4 inches.
Started Phase 2 Saturday Oct. 20 with first injection and gorged Sat. & Sun. I had birthday cake, BBQ, chocolate bar, fried shrimp, we went out for breakfast buffet and had mexican.  After phase 1 it is really hard to eat that way.  I was miserable!!!  But thats a good thing.
Gained 3.2lbs during gorge days
Right now my injections are 150iu  IM and I am going to skip Sundays.
Good luck to us all!!!!

CONGRATS EVERYONE ON YOUR WEIGHT LOSS!!  LETS DO THIS TOGETHER!!!!

kw- I have really dry lips and still use my chap stick.  I can't tell that it has had a negative effect on me.   Don't forget to drink your WATER...that will make all the difference in the world.  When I don't drink my water I don't loose as well.

amy - I'm checking out info on EFT.  I found one site that was having a seminar in the Dallas area next month...might check that out.  I'm single and an emotional eater.  Also it seems that everytime I go out with friends or family that the outing is always centered around food...even entertaining at home same thing.  I thought maybe working that in conjunction with hcg may be helpful.

Well, I made it through the week-end.  Today is day 8 I started vlcd last monday i'm down 14lbs.  I have never found a pogram that works so well for me.  I'm 54 and have at least 150lbs to loose.  I'M OFF TO A GOOD START.  Before hcg I wasn't experiencing restfull sleep (think it may be sleep apnea) also my ankles were really swelled and the swelling wasn't going down.  After one week I can already tell the difference.  My ankles are normal now for about 4 days and I am resting so much better.  Praise God!!!!!

Found this great website ....it has recipes!!!  Surf the whole site..has great info. http://www.hcgrecipes.net/?hop=dietinfo1

Have an awesome day..all.

Thank you, I will try to hold off from using it as long as possible, but I'll use it when I can't stand it no more. I drink lots and lots of water, I guess you can call me a water person, because for as long as I can remember, I drank large amounts of water. I don't really like soda, and juices can be too sweet, so I know my water intake is fine. Could it be because I'm so used to using lip gloss/ chap stick, that my lips adapted to receiving it's moisture that way? Thank You so much though. God Bless keep up the good work!!!!!

What a bummer!  I feel your pain!

How long have you been on phase 1?  Have you had good results?

While I was on phase 1, I ate a lot like we have have to on phase 2.  Just to get used to it and have it all down pat so that phase 2 would not be a guessing game for me.  I did eat 1 organic egg every morning that now I can't have in phase 2.
All of the info was so overwhelming, it helped me a lot to do it that way.  Kinda like a trial run of phase 2.
Maybe dd will speed up your delivery for the inconvenience it has caused.

well i don't know how much you weigh or how tall you are but is 1800cal sort of a lot?  i guess i'm used to the 500 cal diet we've been eating but i don't know how much i was eating before i started this crazy diet.  i know lindaloo has said that it's trial and error for her and she fluxes between 138-142.  is it possible that you pushed yourself to lose more than your body was ready to give up and now it's trying to readjust it's set weight?  how long have you been on phase 3?

thanks for the sympathy... :( I'm waiting to hear what they are going to do to speed it up for me. I've been doing phase 1 - lots of water, probiotics, yerba mate & green tea most days, colon cleanse, whole food supplement, coral calcium, almost all organic food and i just started rebounding a couple of days ago. I feel really good and I was weighing myself everyday but not losing any weight, so I decided to stop looking at the scale everyday.
From what I've read from the protocol I almost sort of feel like if I lost weight on phase one or phase 3 that it wouldn't be a good thing.

melcot-sorry to hear that...maybe its muscle from all the exercising? or just water retention?

by melcot, Oct 22, 2007 03:31PM

I'm 5'7" and I now weigh 135.  Historically I count calories when I want to lose weight and I can eat about 1800 per day to maintain.  I've been on phase 3 for 5 days.  Maybe my set weight is higher, I didn't think of that (although I've weighed less than 135 before). It could be water retention too.  We'll see what tomorrow brings.  Thanks for the replies!

by ubflossn, Oct 22, 2007 04:19PM
To: melcot
how much did you lose on phase 2?  well according to an insurance chart for "normal" weight you are under weight at 135.  and they're usually under to begin with so they can charge "normal size" people more for insurance.  according to the chart a woman your height with a small frame should weigh between 123-135.  a medium frame would be 133-147.  maybe you're just asking your body to be smaller than it really wants/needs to be to have the normal fat stores to feed it?  take it easy on yourself and enjoy!

This is day 8 that I have been STRICTLY following Dr. Simeon's
protocol. I was doing great the first 3 days, but this week I haven't
even lost a full pound. Today, I had to fax NHW my food journal. The
nutritionist said my loss might have slowed due to lack of more
veggies. Has anyone had success with their protocol? I am afraid to
start adding foods that are not on Simeon's list. Did any of you add some other veggies?
Please advise!

Hello:
I have good news on ordering from within the states.  Natural Healing Ways whose #is866.879.9951 and fax#is864.879.9953, will ship your package overnight from SouthCarolina if you have bloodwork from within the last 12 months that you can fax to them.  my counselor's name was brock.  She was great.  I went to their website at hcgdiet dot com and they did my consultation, took the payment from my credit card which was 353 dollars for the consultation plus 4 weeks of injections.

I had to learn this the hard way.  On Sept 24th I placed a second order to Eurobolic dot com and sent them the 110.00 via western union and, to date, I've not received my HCG.  The first order was fine, but orders from oversees are never guaranteed.   Please be careful.  This messed me up because I ordered just prior to completing 1 HCG treatment wherein I'd lost 23 lbs, but then I had to wait almost a month before I received my order from NHW before I could start again.  After losing 23 lbs, my weight loss slowed to .5 lbs per day, which was a bummer.  Because of the huge gap (3weeks) between treatment, I started over (including the binge days) and in two days, I've lost 5.6 lbs, after beginning the 500 cal diet.

Before I ordered from NHW, I placed an interim order with HCGdiet.com and had to wire funds through my bank account.  Hopefully this will still come.  If so, it will be a backup order.  I hope you all do well

there have been several that have had great success with nhw.  brock has been helpful to those and also to some that aren't nhw customers.   good luck to you now that you're getting back on track!

no change today ladies....still 165.  i only have a couple more days of shots left and i'm hesitant to go longer than the reccomended time.  yesterday i was so hungry i could hardly stand it!  i did eat an extra cinna apple just to curb the sweet tooth but i went to bed early because i was afraid i'd cave!  it's been 42 days of vlcd although because of the skipped days during the 2 periods and the weekly day i've not yet reached 40inj.  i'm dying to get into the 150's before i call round 1 quits but we'll have to say.  i think i'm about ready to throw in the towel on phase 1..........take my break and then come back after the 1st of the year and knock off the other 20lbs.  we'll see how today goes!

Thank you for the encouragement.  165 looks awesome to me... I'm looking forward to that day.

When I read Pounds and Inches or KT, I think that a break is necessary when ravenous hunger returns and you stop losing weight.  Is the HCG still potent enough?  That may also be an issue.  Maybe a new batch is needed.

My weight had slowed to sometimes 1/2 lb per day and then stopped.  When I took a break I only gained during the 2 day binge and resumed large drops thereafter.  I hope it goes well for you.

Hi girls, just catching up after the weekend...you are all doing great!  Today was the first morning I haven't shown a loss, but after 8 days of VLCD I am down 16.8 lbs.  Totally amazing!  I still can't help but wonder why the 0 today, I did use a glob of lotion yesterday, and I was out of lemons...will see if that makes any dif today.  Regardless I am very excited!

UB Sounds like you have a great plan, I mean enjoy the holidays and start again in Jan...I hope to be on round 2 phase 2 then also, it'll be nice to have someone else pludging along with me, please keep us up to date on Phase 3.  I have really learned alot from you, as well as the other "pros" here.  And from one of the new girls Thank You so much!!!!

Good Luck!

Have you found that it is easier being on the 500 calorie vlcd now that you are doing the injections?  I remembered that you have been on vlcd about a month or more and have done the 1st protocol with cleanses, etc.  Can you personally feel that the HCG helps with appetite control?

Thanks and keep up the good work !

I'm really not sure yet.  I took a cold yesterday.  My 1st day of VLCD. So not much of an appetite and feeling really run down.  I did take cold medicine even though we are not supposed to.  I can't stand to be sick!
I was very hungry first morning of VLCD.  But, the teas and water helped with that.  I was used to having an egg every morning.  Today is better.  Not hungry at all.  I feel like the gorge days got me out of my routine.  I ate things that I haven't had in 44 days.  Now I want more of those things.
I guess I just have to get the right mind set again.
I lost 3lbs 1st day of vlcd.

I'm up in phase 3 as well . . . but fighting it . . . I also did 2 steak days but they were good to me I lost 1.5lbs on the first and 1lb on the second steak day . . . you're not eating any sugar or starch right? . . . I found the dairy a problem . . that seems to put the weight on for me . . . phase 3 is really a trial and error period . . . introduce one new food at a time and check the scale the next morning to see how it has effected you and go from there . . that's what I'm doing anyway?? Try going back to the foods we ate in phase 2 (just bigger portions) then begin each day with one new food . . . see how that works . . I feel your frustration, believe me . . . .good luck and keep us posted!!

All:
I had a question: In P3 now and I'm doing my colonix everymorning, and 3lac and acidopholous(sp?) and the Pectasol Chelation complex (heavy metal cleaner) .. . I've noticed I get headaches after I take the Pectasol . . . any one know about this stuff??

Does anybody know if heavy exercise affects weight loss using this diet? I practice Brazilian jiu-jitsu 5 days a week and sparring takes a lot of energy. I have been on this diet for 10 days now and I've lost 9.8 lbs. I'm pretty happy with the steady weight loss but I've read in some other posts that heavy exercise is not recommended because it might cause water retention. I'm wondering if my loss would be greater if I trained less.

Thanks, Lindaloo!
I went back to the same type of foods in phase2 yesterday and I'm down 1.5 lbs today.  I haven't touched starch or sugar and only eating one apple per day.  Your advice is sound - introducing one new food a day.  I will definitely try this.  Also, I did chelation a couple of years ago, I was exposed to a large dose of arsenic.  My doctor gave me the stuff so I don't remember what it was.  I felt terrible during the whole process which took me 6 weeks, but that could have been the arsenic.

(it usually is not this bad though)

I have lost 11.2 in  5 vlcd days.  that is one cool, clean, fresh liter of breathable air!

everyone is doing great!  keep up the good work

I am also on day 8 of the VLCD. I've only lost 12.5 pounds, that's including the 4 pounds I gained during the gorge. So basically from my origonal weight, I lost 8.5 pounds, which I thank God for, but it's not 14....like you, that's great. congratulations! Before the gorge I started at 230.5 pounds. What was your origonal weight before the gorge, and how much did you gain during the gorge? My weight has stayed the same for 2 days (not in a row). What kind of chapstick are you using?

I don't think I would give up training.  Especially if your body is use to that.  I believe any activity is far better for you in the end.

Dr. Simeons  manuscripts states "a TEMPORARY increase in weight with exceptional physical exertion of LONG duration leading to a feeling of exhaustion."  Things like running, walking, a game of tennis or a vigorous swim does not. I'm not familuer with Brazilian jiu-jitsu.  I am assuming it is like an hour of working out.

Congrats on your weight loss. 9.8 is very good in 10 days.

To: All: HELP!!!!!!!!!!!
OMG! Help me somebody! I am on my 9th day of VLCD and as of Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday (this morning) my weight has stated the same!!! 22 pounds, what is going on? It was working so well at first and I am doing nothing different. After the Gorge I weighed 234.5 and on the morning of the 7th day of VLCD my weight was @ 222, that's a total of 12.5 pounds lost in 7 days! But now my weight has stayed the same for 3 days in a row. The worst part about it is the pain I'm going through, not being able to use any chap stick, because the protocol warns against contact with any kinds of lotions, oils, or fat on the skin. My lips are dry, blistered, scabbing, and hurting. I understand SOEXCITED told me that she is still using her regular chap stick, but I am so paranoid that if I do that, being that my weight loss has already stayed the same for 3 days in a row, that it could affect it even more. Any suggestions on what to use on my lips anyone? What are you guys using? If regular chap stick... then what brand and has it slowed or stopped your weight loss? Also what could me the reason for my weight staying the same for 3 days in a row. I am very upset, frustrated, and discouraged.

Are you measuring your meat before you eat?  100 grams of Beef,Chicken, or White Fish.  Are yoiu keeping the sea salt to a minimum?  Are you drinking your water?  I drink about 66-99 ozs. daily.  Are you having your fruit?  A handfull of strawberries, 1. apple or 1/2 grapefruit, twice per day.  If you are cooking for family, make sure you don't taste their food.  Avoid topical oils and creams.  I don't know what else to say.

I am down from 194.8 to 193.4 today.

Also, does chap stick have oil in it?  I use lotion each and every day and it has not had a negative effect on me.  I am a lawyer by profession.  I cannot NOT wear lotion, plus my skin is dark and will appear ashy. .

My justification for being able to wear such is when "Pounds and Inches" was written, all moisturizers had oil.  Now I use oil free everything.  I have to because my skin is naturally oily.  I don't believe its the chap stick.  If you are miserable, find an oil free balm for your lips.

Finally, be encouraged, maybe you are retaining water or pms'ing.  You can always do teh apple day.  This is my second treatment and I went through the same thing, but after more days.

Hi K: Do an apple day!!

To: hey KW - All
KW - hate to hear you having trouble.  Don't get to discouraged you know that is your enemy.  Do as Lindaloo said, do an apple day.  As for what I us on my lips I have been using Blistex..but I may try to find some of the oil free moisturizer sonia is talking about.  My skin is naturally really dry and right now my elbows and heals are really really dry. I have to find something that works.  I'm into my second week on the vlcd.  Weight loss has slowed some.  Only lost 1/2lb today....but 1/2 is still 1/2.  Any other diet program I have been on I might loose 1/2 in a week and think that was good.  We have to keep our perspective here and remember our goal.  I am so thankful for this program and all you guys.
I started at310.8 and through my load days I gained to 314.8 (thats a lot!!!)  Have a long way to go.  Last night I busted my first goal. Weighed this morning 299.8.  Praise God!!!  I'm so excited.

I got my recipe e-cookbook from www.hcgrecipes.com. It has lots of recipes that really sound like they would be good.  I don't have much imagination when it come to cooking and variety...that sort of thing.  This is going to be a big help.

Have a blessed day everybody!!!

You are right! I have to check myself, being discouraged and having a negative attitude is a trick of the enemy. I am grateful to God that we found this and I continue to praise him each morning and throughout my day. I will try Blistec, or try finding that moisturizer also. If this happens again, I will try the apple day. Thank You so much... God Bless! Keep up the good work!

I bought a digital scale from Top Line scales, all purpose use, including postage. I weighed all of my chicken and fish, some servings were below 100g, but none were over. Could it be because some were under 100g (93g-98g)? Does it have to be exactly 100g, nothing less, and of course nothing more? I don't season my fish, and I only put a small amount of sea salt  on my chicken. I drink more than enough water, almost a gallon a day (I love water), I eat 2 small organic apples a day. When I cook for my Husband, I put on those thick yellow rubber gloves, made for washing dishes, so that I don't touch the food, and I most definitley do not taste/ put anything in my mouth outside of what's on the Simeon's protocol sheet. What do you think it is, the weighing of the meat? Thank You for your help and concern. Thanks Lindaloo, will try!

You sound alot like me...I haven't had the courage to post my start weight, but what is crazy is it is, to the decimal, a pound more than you(which is the pound gained during the gorge).  I had a zero loss yseterday, but today down another pound!  Grand total in 9 days of VLCD  17.8 lbs!!!!  Yippee!!

Has anyone else felt a bit like they were going to pass out right after their injection?  This morning, I did my injection, which hurt like a -----, there was a small drop of blood, and I felt faint.  It passed in a few min, and the rest of the morning has been uneventful.  I think I am going to try to mix my next batch for 0.5 cc injections cause I have had many painful injections.  I really don't consider myself a big cry baby either, usually handle pain pretty well (I do have 3 kids..)

KWash I have only been doing this a week, but I have been using Chapstick (Dr S allows lipstick) without any problems...also, I prepare my families food without gloves, I just wash them afterwords.  And to tell the truth, the soap in the kitchen is not even organic.  I figure, when things slow down, maybe I will notice some sort of effect, and then I will make more changes.

Loo  Maybe I missed a post, did you say the cheese was causing a wt gain?  Glad you were able to figure it out and get rid of it!!!
Good Luck!

Be encouraged, all you can do, is what you know to do.  Sounds like you are doing everything according to the plan.  I do make sure that I have no LESS than 100 g protein, never less.  Maybe at most 102 but I don't short it because it is what helps to burn the fat.  98 g may not make a difference, but 93 is somewhat low.

Anyway, do an apple day if it is the same tomorrow.

This has been my answer to many prayers.  I struggled for more than 15 years trying to get this weight off.  Like SOEXCITED, I Praise the Lord each and every day for this program.  I've wasted so much time and thousands of dollars and gym memberships and excercise equipment trying to make a dent in my weight and failed.  But God is good and His timing is perfect.  This is just on time.  I will be marrying soon.

Warning to all approaching phase 3..
Dont get over-excited to be able to eat. i did and gained 4 pounds! i know im retaining a ton cause i had a ton of salt and didnt drink enough and my belly is sooooo swollen. I said to myself, im just gonna eat the same way i have been and introduce new things Very Very slowly... well one taste of cheese led to another, which led to another, and then i didnt read the label of a dressing and assumed it was ok (which it wasn't, it was full of hidden sugar) and here i am.. UP 4 POUNDS on my second day of phase 3.
Doing a steak day today and drinking 2 gallons of water.. i'll tell you how i weigh in tomorrow.
Just a word of caution to everyone..

I'm now on day 5 of Phase 3 and the only thing I've done differently on this phase than on phase 2 is add more protein and an extra fruit.  I got scared reading about the others who added all kinds of foods.  I bought organic cheese from Trader Joe's but am hesitant to try it.  I forgot who posted it, but I bought an organic eggplant, organic tomato sauce and would like to make eggplant parm.  I don't know yet though.  My weight gain goes up .6, then drops .4, then up .2 and so on. It's a three day pattern for me.  However, I don't have any cravings and am fine eating large salads with grilled chicken strips ( not organic) with apple cider vinegar dresssing and spicy Mrs. Dash Salt Free Seasoning for now.  I hope to add one new food every couple of days depending on the scale.
Maybe our bodies can't handle all the foods we can have on this phase.  That should be mentioned in the KT book.
I hope the apple day goes well for you.

I have been doing the hcg since july 16th and I had to stop for a month to do my maintence month and I just started back up on the first of october....so far I have lost 55lbs. would be more but I didn't do good on the maintence I cheated and gained 12lbs.....but I got back on track.

K: You are being so dilignet I really don't think you're doing anything wrong . . . I was l little under and a little over on my meat weights .. no more then .3 oz but I don't think that's it . . . it's tricky because you get use to the crazy fast weight loss that you see initially and when it stops or slows down (which it will) you freak out . . . . don't worry the body has to readjust itself and it will flow again . . .

M: Same thing happened to me . .  it's the darn cheese . . can't do it . . .. so I stopped for the past 2 days and I dropped 2lbs . . .don't worry M . . .just go back to eating like in phase 2 but just have bigger portions of it . . . I do a great stir fry every night with organic chic, ogranic veggies and use that raw organic coconut oil that KT recommends(it's great and it makes everything taste really good and different) and that seems to agree with me . . . .and big organic salads with org. chic or some kind of protien in them for lunch . . . and of course organic apples & grapefruits!! Don't be sad baby girl . . . you can fix!!

Mommyiam: Yes, I believe it was the cheese . .. so no cheese for me :( . . . you're doing awesome!!!! Go Girl!!

Soexcited: That's a great stepping stone!!!!! Much Congrats!!!!!!
