The theory is that there is a nerve in the outer ear (Pinnea) that has something to do with the hunger.  If you use this pin, or staple, or magnet on the ear, it will block the nerve sending messages telling to to eat and you won't eat as much and will lose weight.  All the programs give you diet pills as well and a multi-vitamins and tell you to drink 10 glasses of water a day.  There is no such nerve in the ear.  It is a mental thing.  If you believe it will work, it will.  Save your money, dump the diet pills, and drink the water.

The queen is right about one thing its not a nerve its a pressure point that curves your appetite. you feel full on less food. you eat about half as much as you usually would. we have a 93% success rate with weight loss, and 95% success with the stop the smoking staple, but make sure you want to stop smoking because it makes you not crave nicotine. it stops cravings and is a good stress reliever. we maintain your staples for six months for no extra charge and a we give you a gift bag with everything you need to take care of your staples. average weiht loss is 3 to 5 lbs. a week. any questions call us at 662-226-7444 (grenada, MS) 662-393-6853 (southaven) fax (662-393-6854)

I tried the Ear Staples.  I had them in for around a month or so, and I must say they did absolutely nothing for me.  Nothing.

I have a friend who has a cousin that has had it done. Her cousin has lost 20 pounds in 2 and a half weeks. My friend is getting hers put in tomorrow. If I had to guess I would say it will work for some and not others. I'm seriously considering getting it done myself. It's not an expensive procedure, and it can be undone.

To: anyone
I am an Acupuncturist in Oklahoma and also do the ear staples for patients.  I will tell you that I have it work for about 60% of people.  Only if you have constant hunger.  If the staple is going to work, you will notice nausea as soon as you have it put there.  It also is NOT a nerve point, it is the stomach and mouth point so it in theory is to give your stomach a constricted full feeling.  Good luck and you should make sure u get it from someone that is not promoting 90-100% success they are only after the big green dollars
