Ear Staple...weight loss???

by young_single_mother22, Jul 27, 2006 12:00AM
I reciently read in the paper about having your ears stapled, it is a acupuncture that causes you not to be hungry and people have lost weight on it. Has anyone tried this, does this work like I have heard or this just another stunt?

I am looking into other options I have tried just about everything and I am at the point to break but this might just be what I need if it works that is.

I drink a herbal tea mix which comes from South Africa. It takes away my appetite completely without any other side effects and I am losing weight. See my post under OTC Appetite Suppressants on 7/20. Never heard about the ear thing before.

My question is do they staple your ears across your mouth to keep it closed?  Not being ugly, but people out there really do  know how desparate we are to lose weight, huh? We'll try just about anything to get what we want!

YES WE WILL!!!!!!

Especially if it works.

And stapling your ear is not just a fashion trend, I have read that it is a acupuncture that suppresses your need to want to eat.

I would just like more information on this such as people that might have had this done and the results!

SO RIGHT ON WITH WHAT EVER IT TAKES TO LOSE THE UNWANTED WEIGHT!

My Mother-n-laws two friends went and had this done about twoor three months ago. One of them is losing wait and the other had to have hers removed because she stayed sick to her stomach all the time. I am also thinking of having it done but was looking for more info. on side effects first. It seems promising to me because there are no pills to remember and with kids a husband and two jobs who has time to remeber. Plus if it doesn't work out for you, just simply have it removed.

I have tried the weight loss ear staple.  I did not use it as a "miracle" to lose weight.  You have to follow the instructions of the physician placing it.  I see it more of a way to train yourself to eat better and less food at each sitting.  I have lost quite a bit of weight on it and will have it taken out in about a week and a half.  I believe in it and would recommend it to people who want to take control.

Okay, I have an appointment today to have this done, wish me luck. I will keep everyone posted on how it works for me.

I just thought I would let everyone who is intrested know that it has been a week and 2 days since I had my ears stabled and I have lost 5 lbs. I know this is just water weight but losing that keeps me going. I have noticed a decrease in my appetite, I still get hungry at meal times but not in between and I don't eat as much as I use too (No seconds for me). Well good luck to all those out there fighting to be healthy.

How do you feel when you have the ear stapling done?  Are you just not hungry or are you nauseated?  Do you feel like you have to make yourself eat enough to get the nutrition that your body needs?  I want to try this but I need more details.

hi everyone,

I actually have never heard of this proceedure.  Can someone point me in the right direction to find out more info?  How is it done?  Does it hurt? How long before you typically see results?  How does this compare to other weightloss methods?
