Email Scam on Phenterzine PLEASE BEWARE

by Imhere2, Dec 14, 2006 12:00AM
There is a company sending or spaming email offers, free trials for 15 day sample of Phentrazine 37.5.  They ask for your banking or credit card info to bill you for delivery charges only. Small Print:  once you give bank or CC info they will charge your account for 149.95 20 days later automatically.  Please don't get caught in this scam!!  Many have.. you could read further if you google ripoff reports or Pure Energy Prod.

I agree with this comment.  I had the same thing happen to me, I emailed the company advising I wanted to cancel any future shipments as it made me lightheaded and nauseous.  I never got a return call, I even emailed the company to no response.  They then charged my account and I filed a dispute with my bank.  The dispute was made over 2 months ago, I contacted my bank and they have forwarded all supporting documents to the company and have not heard anything to date.  I also checked the better business bureau site after this and they have a few complaints on there. I did a search for Phentrazine 37.5, please do not get scammed.

by unfit, Dec 27, 2006 12:00AM
I also recently purchased from this email.  It has not been 20 days yet and I would like to try to avoid this scam before it happens, however I can not remember the company i purchased from (who sent the email) and there wasn't any paperwork with my "trial" sample.  Can someone please send me in the right direction so that I can try to prevent them from charging my account??? Thanks!

by Imhere2, Dec 28, 2006 12:00AM
Hi there.. try www.usaveonpills.com  They send out three or four different adds.  Thintab, Phentrzine3.7 etc.  Its all the same company but you will find that the terms and conditions that once you order the sample ( with not paperwork or papertrail from them) that you also agreed to let them bill your accoutn for 149.94 for first shipment. Then if you refuse or cancel they will charge you 49.95 restocking fee. Its a horrible scam and so many are getting conned because they are not clicking on terms and conditions and getting caught.  The phone number is bogus and you have to message them through the site. People neeed to beware of this and the company needs to be put out of business the pills they are sending just make you feel very very SICK. I think the FDA should be investigating them as well ..

by unfit, Dec 28, 2006 12:00AM
I was able to find a way to cancel, but you are correct there is a 49.95 charge to cancel.  It is not a "restocking" fee however; it is payment for your FREE sample!!!  Any suggestions on how to avoid that fee?  Anyone have any luck fighting it???

by unfit, Dec 28, 2006 12:00AM
One other question, please share stories of what happened when you disputed the charge.  What happened when/if a collection agency became involved.  I am considering how far I want to take this.  When I checked ripoff reports some people reported receiving a bill from the collection agencies for 4x the original amount charged.  Is it worth the fight if in the end I have to pay so much more?  Or do I write it off as stupidity!!!  Being fat is soooooooo much cheaper!!

by houstonlady28, Dec 31, 2006 12:00AM
I'm happy you were able to cancel your shipment with just the 49.95 fee for the sample.  I took the pills for 2 days and felt bad both days.  After the 3rd day, I went on the website and was unable to find a phone number and had to send a msg to customer service via the website.  I received an email from them with a ticket# advising they had received my request.
I never heard from them again.
I tried emailing again, I obtained a phone number when I checked my bank statement and found the name and address of the Company.  I was always referred to the same person and would always get her voicemail and leave a msg.  She never returned any calls.
Then, the 21st day or so, the 149.95 charge went to my account.  I called my bank and told them what happened and they told me to file a dispute with the company.  I gave the bank all the emails I had received from the company as well as all the emails I had sent to them.  They told me do not pick up the new shipment, that way if worse came to worse I would pay for the trial only.  They said based on me trying to cancel and the company not responding I may not be liable for paying anything.  They said they would fight it with the company.
My last update with my bank, they stated they are not getting anywhere as the company is not returning calls.
So, if you canceled in time to just pay for the trial amount, I would leave it alone and thank goodness you found out about it before they charged you the full amount.  I'll keep you posted.

by unfit, Jan 08, 2007 12:00AM
Here's the latest...... wrote several letters (4 to be exact, because they kept emailing me and asking me if I was sure I wanted to cancel) asking that they cancel my order and that they send me a copy of the original info that stated I would be paying 49.95 if I cancelled.  They never sent the info I requested and then on Jan. 5th they charged my credit card $149.95 for my next shipment!!!!  I emailed them immediately telling them to remove the charge, that I had requested they cancel (I attached copies of the emails WITH their responses)all future shipments.  Today (Jan 8th) I received a letter from a collection agency for $296!!!  For what I ask!!! Let me remind you.... I have a $149 charge on my credit card (which to me would say I "paid" for the next shipment) AND I haven't received anything from this company since my "FREE" trial!!!!!  Any thoughts?? Suggestions?? Where do I go from here???

by tvolkman, Feb 20, 2007 12:00AM
I was one of those people who also got into this scam. I did the free trail and before I knew it I was changed $149.95. I called my bank and told them that I did not give these people permission and they filed a did not authorize sheet. I also called the company once I got a number and I have heard back from them. I only took 2 pills because they made me feel so sick and now I got more on the way that I do not even want. I will update you on what I hear from the bank.

by pinkladyjess, Feb 23, 2007 12:00AM
I also got sucked (or should I say SUCKERED) in by this supposed free trial offer.  Thankfully I found this posting and stopped them from charging the $150 to my debit card.  However they did charge me a "cancellation fee"  of $49.95!!  I was able to call a toll-free number and after a very long wait, a representitive told me I had no choice but to pay the money, or I would get charged the $150.  The toll free number was 1-888-527-0870.  Do not order from this website!!  http://www-sizezeropill.com/ or http://www.usaveonpills.com/, THEY ARE A SCAM!!!!  Thanks to all who posted these warnings!

by anit, Feb 23, 2007 12:00AM
I have also been scammed. I requested the free sample and then was surprised that I was not forwarded to another page to verify.  I emailed the company asking if I had acually ordered the sample.  Of course no reply.  Three weeks later when I seen the chagre, I had not idea what in the world it was.  I called the bank and they provided me with a phone number.  I called the company and was told that I had signed up for a membership.  I yelled repeateadly that I wanted my money returned.  I talke to at least four to five people and left messages on voice mails of others.  All they would tell me is that I had to cancel within 19 days.  How can I cancel if I don't know that I am enrolled?  If you notice, the terms and conditions are placed so that if you don't scroll all the way down the page you won't even know it is there.  I to have submitted tickets for absolutely no reason.  I have filed complaints witht he Oklahoma BBB and the Illinois Attorney General's Office.  My bank is now hadnling the dispute for the charge.  I do not understand how this can continue.  Now that I know, I have checked numerous other web sites that list this scam.  Where is our protection from these crimninals???

well i am sad to say i just got scammed 10 days ago.  i was able to call the 800# the next day because when my email was redirected it was really weird that no one would talk to me on the computer and it all just seemed strange to me.  So when i called the 800# and got customer service and no one would answer and i kept getting a voice mail i called back and acted like i was ordering.  This girl informed me also that i just signed for a membership and i would be receiving a 4 month supply, well i immediately tried to cancel and she said i had to submit a ticket so i tried and i could not log on.  So i called back and i was hung up on 4 times finally i just kept calling back and got a so called supervisor and she informed me that i could cancel but i was now responsible for a 49.95 early cancellation fee.  i told her to try but i had already cancelled my credit card and she hung up on me.  Well nothing has happened since but i have tried to submit 4 more tickets and no one will respond.  Does anyone know what happens now am i going to be in legal trouble what should i do?

by Bozlee, Feb 28, 2007 12:00AM
To: kentham
I doubt that you will be in legal trouble as the criminals usually don't call the authorities. I feel really bad for you all getting scammed by this company.

When I have run into this sort of situation and can't get any satisfaction I contact the company in every way I can and tell them I am reporting this in detail to the media and then do exactly that. Trust me the these scamming companies will not be happy about that and will look after you real quick to get you to not contact the media.

I am going thru the same thing. These people need to be stopped. Please post your story everywhere you possibly can with links to their page. I am going to submit a link to google that will direct potential victims to the truth before they are too trusting to think that they are getting a 5 dollar sample. The more complaints on the web to the BBB & Attorney general the better chance we have of shutting them down. NO WHERE on their site when I ordered the trial did it say ANYTHING about the further scam. I have already reported them to my CC company and closed the account. Next I go to the media, anyone want to join me?

Well, add me to the list! I was also made a monkey of and cheated out of my money!  I live check to check!  I can not afford this.  They took the 4.95 out of my bank account and yesterday the 149.95 was taken out of my bank account.  I don't know what i am going to do.  I have not received anything in the mail. What do I do?  Surely these people can not be allowed to continue to take people money.  Where do I start?

I too was told that I could order these pills for a 15 day free trial for 4.95 which was to pay for the shipping. I gave them my credit card information and they charged me 4.95, but I never got the pills. Then 20 days later they charged my credit card 149.95!!!! I've never received one single thing from them. I've tried to contact them but have not been sucessful. I was never aware of the fact that they would charge me 149.95. That is outragious!!! How can a company get away with this?? My credit card co. is disputing this but I don't know what will happen. I ordered it Feb. 1 and have never received one thing to this day.

by mommy57, Mar 14, 2007 12:00AM
To: Found a way to dipute them, it's all fraud
Unfortunately to avoid all there fradulent charges there is only one thing you can do, place a stop payment/dispute the $149.95 payment with the bank. Then the bank will refund you your money and not pay them. Don't pickup the supplies once they are shipped to you or refuse them when they are delivered. Once you have disputed the payment you need to change your credit card or bank card whatever you used so that they can not charge you a cancellation charge. If you get a letter from collections, #1 call the better buisness bureau, #2 tell the person from collections that you never authorized that purchase and that your bank refused it. #3 It's really not going to collections they are the actual company(Diet Pill Usa) lieing to scare you into paying the $236. If for some odd reason (I highly doubt) it shows on your credit just write the credit bureau a letter about the scam and they will quickly take it off your credit report. There has to be a way to catch these criminals, I am writing a letter to my local news station and I am going to take this very far.

by IAMAshutterbug, Mar 14, 2007 12:00AM
I TOO WAS SCAMMED BY THIS PRODUCT. WAS TOLD THAT ALL THE INFO WAS ON THE SCEEN IN REFERENCE TO THE 149.95 BEING TAKEN OUT OF MY ACCOUNT. IT WAS NOT.  IF THE PRODUCT HAD WORKED I WOULDN'T HAVE BEEN SO MAD. BUT IT DOES NOT WORK. WILL THEY TRY TO DEBIT MY ACCOUNT A SECOND TIME?  i called and left a message not to send future shipments.

i finally got a hold of a Latisha at pure energy she is at ext. 109, she told me that i was definitely being sent to collections.  i told her that i never saw anything about the 149.95 or the 49.95.  she said that if you scrolled down about another 2 inches you would have seen it under the submit button.  i said usually the terms and agreements are before you hit the submit button. so now i am just waiting to hear from collections because i closed my credit card and i was only charged 4.95.  i am going to keep fighting this we all have to stick together and get these criminals off the computer.

i think i am about to be scammed.  the original 4.95 was taken out of my acct on 3/12.  does the 20 days start from when you received the trail pills or from the initial charge?  i haven't had a charge yet.  i am thinking of reporting my card stolen and getting a new one.  i think if you report it stolen, all future charges are declined.

by guitarlovinchic, Mar 29, 2007 12:00AM
i just talked to my bank and all future debits to my old card number will be declined.  i will have to change a couple of automatic things i have set up, but it will be worth it to not get charged 150 bux.  as for them reporting it to the credit agencies, it is very unlikely that it would make it on your report since they do not have a SS#.  if by some chance it did get put on your report, it would be a piece of cake to get it removed.  you could just dispute the item and since they don't have enough info, it would get removed.  no worries about that.

I so wish I would have found this forum BEFORE I tried the sample!  I too have been charged the 149.95!  I have not received any products though and I called my bank today to file a dispute.  I have 4 kids and live paycheck to paycheck.  I saw NO WHERE on the website that stated I would be charged anything other than the shipping costs.  I didn't even have to check that I would accept the terms or conditions because I would have read them!  I always read terms to avoid situations like this, especially when it comes to "free" samples like this!  I am printing out this whole site to fax to my bank with my letter disputing the charges!  Things like this make me sick!

From me:
Beware of usaveonpills.com
I hope to save some of you if you ever get sucked into their scam from getting ripped off.

We're talking about very serious ripping you off. They offer a trial sample for $4.95 this is where they get you!

They then, after sending you the sample, charge your credit card, bank account for product you did not order. When you go to find out about this charge, they have this policy of being able to cancel within 15 days which they don't honor, and next thing you know you've got up to two bottles of product in your mail box you never ordered, a charge of over $100.00 on your account and no way to contact them to dispute this bogus charge. And they have the audacity of charging your account for $49.95 to cancel!

They say on their page to open an account and submit a ticket where someone will contact you within 24 hours. Once the ticket is submitted it never confirms this was done. And this was tried on both Windows & Mac computers using pretty much all available browsers. Their phone system will not allow you to get through to them.

Their live chat feature is broken and they say in their emails and recorded messages that they are a web based company, this is how we are to contact them.

This is a bogus, like ENRON bullsh** rip off scam that they are getting away with.

You can check and Google them you'll see the dissatisfaction, frustrated and very angry public that's being ripped off royally.

Pass it on or ignore this, but head my warning, they will rip you off if you let this happen to you

Ok, I'm pissed & a bit relieved. I just found out that my credit card company American Express sided in usaveonpills.com's favor for the second time!

I sent them detailed screen images showing the process how usaveonpills.com works. And they still ruled in their favor. I called and raised hell demanding to speak to some one in charge. This is ridiculous, there was a report on tv the other night about how these kinds of companies are operating online, stealing the publics money once they get a hold of your bank account or credit card info.

I just want to go to Oklahoma and find their building (usaveonpills.com) and blow it up! I'm not that kind of person but their way of operating and refusing to refund and yet claim if one follows their instructions to the letter they'll cancel. Thats a load of ****, they have it so you can't follow and I showed it all to American Express with printed copies of screen captures of each process.

So AMEX said that they'd just remove the charge from my account (Yea) but still it would have been much sweeter if they had followed up on everything I showed them to be true and ruled in my favor.

So my advice is don't give up, raise your voice and give your bank or credit card company hell. Because it seems this is the only way to win this war.
