Getting B12 shot next week where do they stick you...

Hello everyone, I have been cruising the site, and thanks to CBeam in NC I have found a place to go.  I get my frist shot next week (22nd) I really don't like needles but at this point it is for a good cause, where do they stick you at though?

Also is there anyone out there that can tell me if they experianced any side effects.  And what type of weight loss should I expect in the first 2weeks?

I live in AZ and the clinic I go to they put the B12 injection in your hip (not near the hip bone, more like your butt). It does sting slightly when they put the injection in but the stinging goes away after a few minutes. Believe me it is well worth the slight discomfort. I go every 2 weeks and at my first appointment I lost 8 lb. I have been going for about 1 1/2 mo. now and have lost 15 lb. so far. Good luck, I hope you like it.

Where in AZ are you going to get your shots? I live in Phoenix and have been looking for a clinic or good doctor that offers a reasonable diet plan with the shots. Please let me know. Thank you.

I go to etcetera medical group, it is in Tempe. They have a website its http://www.etceteramedical.net/. They are a bit pricy though, I can't remember how much my start up fee was. But, shots are $10 and they suggest you get 1-3 a week. Phentramine (phentermine) is $10 a week. And you have to pay $50 every two weeks (they say for consultation with the nurse, but I usually don't talk to her unless I need to up my meds or something). They give you a nutrition plan of 900 calories (but I just try to follow Weight Watchers) because 900 calories is a little far fetched. I seem to be doing fine. I need to start exercising though. So hard to find the time.
My friend just started at a different clinic in Mesa its called Nutritional Weight loss center, hers gives B12 spray and some other type of "Phen" drug,(not phentramine (phentermine) though) for $15 a week. And a $175 start up fee. She just started so I don't know how well hers works. I have lost about 15lb. in 1 and a half months.

I wonder if that etcetra clinic is the same on in southern california, los angeles......I went to them, I really did not see the doctor, although they claim to be medical. Then I found my current barriatric doc, he made me feel special, I see him everytime i go to my visit. He actually is involved in my care, and I never saw that anywhere else. I have been hyping up Dr. Kerendian on this message board, but he really made a difference in my life. I see that he is doing the same with his other patients too. God bless him.

I dont know, Im not the doctor, call Delight medical and Dr. Kerendian will let you know, Im sure. But I didnt take the B12 alone. He has a special mixture shot that includes b12 with other stuff that help you lose weight, besides the weight loss it made me feel great. I used to be down and semi-depressed most of the time, but his injections helped me with that, besides that my life is now totally different. he is genuine guy.

I got it in my stomach as this is where I carry most of my weight.  They give you a choice in the stomach or in your buttocks.  I did bruise but I have lost over 20lbs....it is a commitment and you need to stick to a strict diet to see results on top - but wow - i got some great results in a very short period of time!

I would like to know if any one knows where I can go to get this shot done.  Or if there is a good directory that anyone knows of that I can locate a place.  I have learned a lot from reading everyone's posting on the B12 shot.

It took me couple of weeks before i noticed energy with his shots. But the good thing about Dr. Kerendian is that he is honest with you. He does not B.S. you around. He does not cookie cut his treatments. He used to tell me that every "body" is different. You will like him. Just do what he tells you and dont give up easily. Good Luck. keep us updated.

sorry I havent responded to you, but i havent been on for a long time. yes the weight loss is very persistant. in fact when i hit my plateu, he carried me around it. He helped me beat the plateau that I have never been able to beat. He put me on a different modality when I hit the wall and we both climbed over the wall together. I am very happy with him. he doesnt seem to be in this for the money, he really cares.

i'm havin problems with my anemia so i'm havin another iron infussion..so my doctor decided me to have b12 injection i got it in my arm will notice any wieght lose ?

B12 in and of itself will not cause you to lose weight... however, it WILL usually give you more energy which will help you to be up and moving around more, exercising more and when coupled with a reduced calorie intake and good water intake it's possible to lose weight while using it.  B12 with lipotropics injected are a good combination for weightloss and you can actually get them online by googling them or a place like mydietsolutions.  The B12 definitely helps with the anemia, that's for sure.  I've had to use it before by itself when I was in college.  Best wishes on a healthy future, "bellafiore13"!!!

I too am chronically anemic and have found that taking Repliva once a day has helped. It is a newer medication for the treatment of anemia. They have a website for further info. I self inject B12 once weekly in either the glute, quad or tricep area. The quad if preferable for self injecting. I use a fine guage syringe and it does not hurt at all. Oral supplements must pass through the gut before absorbed and aren't as efficient; so I've read and have been told. I don't feel that the b12 gives me much energy.
