HCG weightloss Shot Burns

by cymberlee, Mar 16, 2008 09:04PM
I was getting the hcg shots at a local doctor until he went out of business in December.  Since then I have researched and ordered hcg (Pregnyl) online.  I have mixed the solution according to the instructions provided on ****.com.

Everything seems okay, except for one thing.  The shots burn and sting for the first minute when you first injection them into the muscle.  The ones I received before did not burn.  Could it be the type of medicine I ordered? Am I getting a stronger dosage now than before?

Has anyone had this problem?

How much HCG did you mix and how much solution did you put in? What needles are you using and to what mark did you fill the needle?

Were you administering the shots yourself before or was the doctor administering them for you? Are you using the same size needles he was?

I went online to hcgsupplies dot com and used the directions to mixed one 5000 i.u. ampoule of Pregnyl with 28.5 cc sterile water to create 28 175 i.u. injections at 1cc each.   I bought the 27 gauge 1 1/4 inch size needles.   We fill the needles up to 1cc and administer them twice a week.  We are doing it ourselves, which is what we were allowed to do before, so that part we know how to do.   The doctor used the same size needles and gave us 1 cc.  The thing i dont know is the strength of the HCG.

I administered a dose today and it stung yet again.  It didnt last as long as before.  The one thing we did differnt was take the solution out of the frig about 20 minutes prior to injecting it.

Any ideas?

Did you mean bac water or did you really use sterile water? Sterile water can sting in injections. Bac water should not. If you did use bac water, I'm at a loss sorry.

When I take mine out of the fridge, I fill the syringe and then run the syringe under really warm water to warm it up to my body temp so it does not hurt. Other than that I don't know what to tell you.
