High Blood Pressure/Phendimetrazine

Please help...At the dr last week my blood pressure was 122/78.  Then I began my diet using Phendimetrazine.  I've been on it 5 days.  I have had a bit of a heavy chest feeling and sometimes out of breath.  I checked my blood pressure today at walmart and it is 129/91.  Should I be worried???

i took phentermine which is probably in the same classification but might be wrong. when i started the med my bp was fine then went to the doctor so they could weigh me and do my bp it was 154/108 which is very high. have you noticed any problems other than your chest feeling heavy?

Good to hear from you!  I think the meds are very similar.  I have noticed that when I sleep, I sleep very heavy now...like I've been drugged or something.  It takes me a good thirty minutes to get up and out of the "sleepy fog" in the morning.  I also dream a lot too.  Other things I noticed .... I do have a few headaches and leg aches.  I take motrin and potassium for that and it seems to work.  So far I've lost 9.5 pounds.  What other symptoms does the med give you?  What did the dr say about your blood pressure???

like i said not sure if the 2 drugs are in the same drug classification. when my bp was that high he told me not to take it anymore. i started noticing something was not right with my eye sight at the time jus thought needed to get eyes checked and new glasses. my doctor told me to get my eyes checked because everything he did as far as blood work was fine. he did a ekg which that came out fine too. when i went to get my eyes checked that is when i found how bad my eye sight is. when my right eye was covered i cant see out of my left eye. can see brightness and movement but wouldnt be able to read anything. the eye doctor told me i needed to see an eye specilists to find out what is going on whch i did. i have an eye disease i didnt know i had. eventually would show up but went from one day nothing wrong with my eye sight to having the eye disease bad in my left eye. what was suppost to help with the eye sight didnt work so went to neurologist to try and find out what esle is going on. did a mri and mra couldnt find anything else like a annorism. the neurologist said i had a mild stroke but since it was mild wouldnt show up in the texts.with my eye sight looks like will have to have a cornea transplant. i feel that the phentermine sped up the eye disease to the point nothing will work but havning a cornea transplant. i just need to get proof this happened. not trying to scare you but if your still taking the med be under a doctors care. if i bough this online and just kept taking the phentermine no telling what would have happened. my bp was 154 over 108 and that is very high. never had bp problems until i took phentermine.

What a story!!  I really hope you find what you are looking for.  As for me, my eyesight is fine.  Is there a waiting list to get that kind of a transplant?  I'll pray that your doctors can help you regain your eyesight!  Weight issues seem so insignificat when compared to your problem.  My blood pressure went back down to 120/75.  I wonder if the high blood pressure caused a stroke?  And...working out with high blood pressure would push it even higher, right?  Good luck to you!
