Lap Band Procedure

Does anyone know the procedure/wait time for lap band surgery at Kaiser Permanente in Northern California? what kind of consults and or pre-operative procedures are required. How long do you have to wait to actually have the surgery?

I live in southern california and have been asking my doctor repeatedly about lap band surgery. She tells me Kaiser is not doing it. I find that hard to believe and think it will be just a matter of time. If anyone out there knows of a kaiser facility that is doing lap band please let me know! I can't afford to go outside my insurance.
