Lexapro? No Problem

by Darlin123, Oct 10, 2006 12:00AM
I have been on Lexapro for over 6 years and have not gained a single pound from it. My sister and friend are on it as well they have not have any weight gain either. I had to join this medhelp line so that I could tell you this. The only side effect that I've experienced is a slight loss of sex drive. I would not want to go with out Lexapro. I am a professional woman and anxiety was getting to me in the work place. I began taking Lexapro and suddenly everything got so much better! to me, its a miricle medication.

I agree - I was on Paxil for 3.5 years and on Lexapro for 3.5 years.  I never gained a pound from either of these drugs - I am 5'8" and 130.  They had no affect on my appetite either.

I have been off of antiD's for a while now and feel like **** - depressed, obsessed with my weight, hopelesss, no motivation, anxiety - the usual....thinking about SSRI again and even though I never did gain weight, I am terrified that it is going to happen to me!!!
