I decided to have LipoDissolve after having done extensive research into the procedure. I have an MBA in heatlthcare management and therefore researching a process is second natureNature-throid Natures tears to me but admittedly the material available to the consumerConsumer rights and responsibilities is scattered and heavily weighted with scare tactics.
I had the LipoDissolve procedure performed on both my medial and lateral thighs. Prior to having my firstFirst progesterone mc10 First progesterone mc5 First-progesterone vgs 100 First-progesterone vgs 200 First-progesterone vgs 25 First-progesterone vgs 400 First-progesterone vgs 50 First-testosterone First-testosterone mc procedure I was required to go through a counseling process in which the Spa gathered an extensive medical health history and essentially gave me a course in LipoDissolve. They said they wanted me to know exactly what the procedure was all about, the history of it, safetyChild safety seats Home safety Safe driving for teens Safety, risks, benefits, what to expect after each treatment etc. After this counseling session I said I wanted to think about it and they encouraged me to do more research and call with any questions, further they told me that if I was considering another provider and this provider didnt encourage thorough research and questions I should run the other way. I felt great about this approach, more like I was in a hospital than a Spa with this level of professionalism and medical process.
As Ive indicated I elected to have the procedure on 2 body areas. The procedure was performed by a Nurse Practitioner with another nurse assisting. In preparationPreparation h hydrocortisone for the procedure I was weighed, photographed, and the treatment area was mapped out with surgical markers. During this process they encouraged me to provide my feedback and communication as to what I was hoping to acheive by treating each body area. During the procedure itself I was informed each step of the way what they were doing and how they were doing it and was encouraged to provide immediate feedback during the procedure. The injection part of the process only took about 15 minutes, the entire visit was 1.5 hours.
After the procedure I was sore, experienced some bruising and stinging from the injection sites, and began to swell. I was well aware that these effects were to be expected due to my pre-procedure counseling. After 45 minutes of post-procedure observation I was "discharged" with a full set of written instructions that re-iterated the information I had recevied previously but I thought this was great as it gave me something tangible to refer to later that night. I was informed that the Spa had a 24 hour on-call service and not to hesitate in calling if I had questions or concerns after hours. The following day a nurse called me to follow up and reinforce my post-procedure instructions.
I felt vague fluAmniocentesis Atrial fibrillation/flutter Cerebral spinal fluid (csf) collection Culture - joint fluid Fluorescein angiography Flushable reagent stool blood test Fta-abs Gastroesophageal reflux disease Gastroesophageal reflux in infants Haemophilus influenza organism Hiatal hernia repair type symptoms, had huge swelling, some bruising and stinging, burning type sensations in the treated area. Additionally the treated area was very firm to the touch and very warm. I applied ice packs per instruction 20 min on 1 hr off and this helped with the discomfort. In the following days my swelling went down, the bruising went away, I felt normal, and started to develop nodules. Again I expected all of this due to my consultation session. I used a handheld massager 3 times per day, increased my fiber intake and continued my normal exercise routines. Each body area (inner and outer thigh) required 3 treatments so Ive had 6 injection sessions in all. Ive lost 2.5 inches in circumference on my thighs.
Ive read reams of information both bad and good on LipoDissolve and my take on the process is that this is a safe procedure, has been around for some time in the USA and longer in Europe. Additionally I feel that as in any MEDICAL procedure there will be risks as well as benefits so its important to understand all the potential whatnots before you sign on the dotted line. Its was funny to me when performing my own personal research that people reacted in amazement when they experienced adverse reactions. Any medical procedure has the potential for harm whether its LipoDissolve, LipoSuction, Appendectomy, etc. Medicine is not an exact science and as Ive observed in my medical management career sometimes you can do everything correctly and you still end up with an unfavorable result. Finally as in any medical procedure its imperative that you do your research and utilize the right practitioner whether physician, nurse, PA etc. I have been extremely happy with my LipoDissolve experience and have referred many friends and patients to this Spa. I know people are going to ask so here it is: Sedona MedSpa, Denver Colorado. www.SedonaMedSpa.net
