Lipodissolve question

by lynster, Jun 02, 2007 12:00AM
Hi everyone, I just had lipodissolve on Tuesday, May 29th to my love handles.  I tolerated the shots, soreness and redness in the area, but I do have a question.  The area treated was my love handles, however, up until today, my abdomen was really swollen also.  It has since gone down, but when I look on my left side, about 3 inches IN from my hip towards my belly button, I can see a bruise left from one of the shots.  My abdomen wasn't treated at all, however, it's been pretty sore like my love handles.  LOL.  My husband noticed that my stomach seemed flatter, which I love, but has anyone had this type of scenario happen to them?  I don't mind if the shots are treating two areas, yeah for me, but I was just curious to what everyone else though.  Thanks

Hi -- I jsut started a lipdissolve thread and then I saw you here --

As I said up there, I has some bruising on my upper and lower belly, but no swelling past about an hour.  And no swelling that would make my clothes not fit.  I am 5 feet 7 inches and 157 pounds with a poochy belly (from having kids!) that I am looking to get rid of.  COme back and tell us how the healing goes -- mine was really quick.

I wish I could go back now!  But have 2 weeks and 2 days to wait.

Hi!  I had my first treatment June 6 on my lower abdomen.  We are the same height and weight.  My abdomen is still swollen and hurts while I jog or twist during tennis.  My worry is that I will be a slow dissolver! My follow up appt is next week.  Keep me posted on your results.

Hi.  I started my treatments about 4 weeks ago. I've had 2 in my love handles, 1 in my lower stomach and 1 in saddlebags and 1 in inner thigh.  I am going every week for a different area. I should have done my stomach again this last time but it has been so sore I've wanted to wait a few more weeks to let it heal.
I have at least 5 more treatments for the original areas planned, however, I will be doing an additional 5 more in other areas.

I am 31, 5'4 and weigh 150lbs. I do know some of my weight is muscle b/c I worked w/ a trainer 2x's a week for almost a year. I got burned out though. I have 3 kids.  2 of them I had in 22 months and the youngest is 14 months.  I really hope this works! I am so dimpily in my thighs and my love handles are big too.

I get nervous when I read of these women who say they've gained weight and added inches!  Most of what I've researched and read is positive.  Is any one else  worried or nervous that this won't work? My friends and co- workers say they already see a difference in my body , but, I don't know?  I have been pretty swollen.  And the pain pills keep me hungry!  Has any one changed their diet?  Who is exercising? It's hard for me to b/c i am doing my treatments so close together by the time I feel up to cardio, it's time to go back in.

I had my 1st treatment about 48 hours ago.  I have a similar question.  I had my inner thighs injected.  The MD injected 7 shots into each thigh in a triange shaped area at the top of my inner thigh. The selling and redness has spread down to almost my knees.  Does this mean it is actually working that far down?

So far, I have had redness and swelling, and a little numbness.  The pain is not bad, unless I press directly on the injection site.  I'm supposed to go back in 2 weeks to have my inner thighs done again, and I'll probably add my outer thighs since I'm not having any real problems.

I'm familiar with lipodissolve becuase I work at fig. I saw your post and asked one of our RNs about your situation.  She advised that you return to your clinic to be evaluated.  It is not normal to have redness and swelling spread toward your knees when you've been treated on your inner thighs.

Well, most of the swelling went away after another day.  I'm back to my pre-injection size now.  You can't tell by looking that anything was done, but you can feel some lumps.  The injected area is a little sore, but not too bad.  I think I'll go ahead and do a second round of injections, to see how they do.
